At the beginning of the year, Andrew Lloyd Webber and film distributors, Working Title Films and Universal Studios, announced the Oscar-winning British film-maker Tom Hooper will be directing a big-screen adaptation of the hit stage musical, CATS. Now the casting director announced they are hosting an open audition for a major role featured in the film.

Producers are looking for the following:

Directed by Trevor Nunn and choreographed by Gillian Lynne, the musical launched the careers of Elaine Paige, Bonnie Langford and many other stars of the West End stage, and is the fourth-longest-running musical in the West End and on Broadway. Hooper’s recent big-budget musical adaptation of Les Misérables, starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried and Anne Hathaway, received three Academy Awards including Best Supporting Actress for Hathaway and took over $440m worldwide.
