Cancer of the Prostate

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, responsible for approximately 9,000 deaths in England and Wales every year. However, as the causes of the disease are largely unknown, the cancer is as mysterious as the gland itself, which is unique to men and assumed by many to regulate the flow of urine, but is actually part of the male reproductive system (sometimes delightfully referred to as the ‘Secret Sex Gland’!) The risk of developing prostate cancer increases with age (70% of all cases occur in men over the age of 65), whilst diet and ethnicity can also play a role. So, if you have any issues with peeing (such as pain or a weak and irregular flow), or find that the best exercise you’re getting is the several times a night you’re having to throw back the bed covers to nip down the hallway to the toilet, then make an appointment to see your GP.

Hi, I've recently changed sexual partners and now only seem to be able to ejaculate once, previously I could do so a few time a night. I'm over 40 so is this an age thing. My new partner is getting hung up on the fact that I can only do the do the once - erection is still there and I'm very turned on by her - we eventually get to the point of stopping because she has climaxed so many times and is too tired to carry on -is there something else more sinister going on that I need to be worried about?

Hello. I'm not sure if this is the right place to go to but I have a problem which is concerning me a bit. A couple of weeks ago, I had sudden urges to go to the toilet and in one day, I went about eight times. However, the strange thing is that afterwards I started getting the opposite feeling of urine filling my bladder was full and a feeling of urine in my penis yet no urge whatever to urinate. I feel no pain or burning sensation when I pee. I went to my GP and gave a urine sample which strangely came back normal. I was just wondering if anybody has had the same experience?

Not sure if this is the right place but I have had serious issues with blood immediately after or with ejaculation, causing large blood clots sometimes impossible to pass naturally. It has hospitalised me twice in the last 2 years and is very embarrassing. However No pain at all. Doctors do not seem to know what's wrong I have had cameras into my penis to my bladder and seen ridicules amounts of clots all over the wall but when they have been washed out bladder looks fine. Docs say just look at it as a different color seaman! Plenty of people seem to suffer with this on internet but can not seem to find any sensible answers, can any one help?

Hi, am 29, i really cant say what exactly is my ailment, hope someone can help, i get the urge to urinate often, this started just two weeks ago, even after urinating, its just a little flow compared to how it was before, i dont feel any burn or hurt during or after urinating, atimes i hold the pee for hours, only to go to the loo and just a little will be discharged. Also, i stopped taking loads of fluids, so guess its making me dehydrated and my pee smells, but not that bad, also this is the baffling part, when i sit down calmly or lie down calmly for a while, i get like frequent spasm or vibration around the lower region of my genitals. please what do you think i have?
