Dr Christian Jessen
As well as presenting Embarrassing Bodies, Dr Christian is also the presenter of the critically acclaimed Embarrassing Bodies: Live From The Clinic, Supersize V Superskinny and The Ugly Face of Beauty.
He is also a health campaigner, often giving talks at medical conferences and working closely with health charities to help find new ways to educate and raise awareness about important health issues.
As a writer, Dr Christian is a columnist for Closer, Top Sante and Attitude and he also has a weekly health column in the Evening Standard. He has also written two books, Can I Just Ask? (Hay House, 2010) and Supersize V Superskinny (Transworld, 2008).
Dr Christian graduated in 2000 from UCL, having trained in general medicine, infectious disease, travel medicine and sexual health/HIV. He is an alumnus of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine after his postgraduate study there. He has lived in Kenya and Uganda where he researched malaria and HIV interactions in children and he now works in Harley Street, looking after general medicine and sexual health patients.
Dr Christian was born and lives in London. He enjoys foreign travel, working out in the gym, music and art. He is also an accomplished oboist, performing publicly from time to time…
