First up in the Mobile clinic is Kate, who is worried that she has one opening too many… She’s had an extra hole above her anus since birth. This is causing Kate worry because she doesn’t know what it is or how it has been caused. Dr Christian assures her that it’s not that uncommon, and it’s caused by the fact that when we are 4-5 weeks old in the womb we all develop a tail. As a baby’s development goes on, this disappears, but sometimes there is a dimple or a hole left where the tail was. Much to the relief of Kate, as the hole is causing her no problems it is absolutely nothing to worry about.Next »
