Hi Im 23. 2 months ago I had intermittent Diarrhea and pain all over my abdomen. The diarrhea stopped, but since then the pain in my abdomen when I eat is unbearable at times, and I move my bowels between 2 and 5 times per day. I am extremely exhausted all the time, and my abdomen gets very distended and painful. Before this, I had gastritis and acid reflux in my stomach, and take acid inhibitors every day. My GP tried anti biotics at first, which didnt make a difference. He referred me then for a colonoscopy, but the waiting list is 8 months and I can barely function or go to work because of the pain, exhaustion, and frequesnt trips to the toilet. It doesnt seem to matter what I eat, whether its vegetable soup or a burger, the pain an need to go to the toilet seems the same. someone please help me!

I'm 21 I got diagnosed with endometriosis 2 years ago. I have been seen by a gynaecologist and now on the mirena coil. However I still have a lot of symptoms I am worried about.. I have: very painful sex; irregular bleeding; a constant horrible discharge (not the normal female one); swelling to my abdomen; a very tender abdomen; constant pain. I constantly get checks for sti's even though I have been with my partner for 3 years, I keep getting refused when I ask for a smear even though I have more than one symptom for female cancers. I just want to be taken seriously and don't feel like I am because of my age and the fact I have a child

My boyfriend has been suffering from severe pain in his lower abdomen for quite a few months now. It is so bad that he can't move sometimes. He also has swelling in his penis and pain when ejaculating on occasion. He also complains about a pain in his right testicle. He is only 18 and every urine test and STI test has come back negative. Recently he also suffers the pain in his lower abdomen after drinking alcohol. I would just like to know if these sympotoms are common of prostitis. If anyone could give me any feedback I'd be grateful. Thanks

I suffered from heavy, irregular periods. Since going on the implant this has all stopped. I regularly get pain & have often been to the doctors. I was diagnosed with a cyst on each ovary 4cm each. I have experienced dull pain in the lower abdomen with a fullness feeling, frequent need to urinate, feeling very nauseous. I went to the doctor who thought it was a uti- this was negative, when I queried my cysts this was dismissed. Can cysts been diagnosed through simply feeling the abdomen? Why is it so difficult to be rescanned? Also I have been told I have scar tissue on my bowel, can this be linked to endemetreosis? And misdiagnosed as pcos?

i am a 16 year old girl and generally i am quite happy with how i look and things and i like to go out partying etc, but i always have to be really careful with what i wear because i started shaving my abdomen and 'bits' when i was about 13ish, and now 3 years later they seem to be growing back muchhhhhh more and much quicker and courser, and it is especially on my abdomen that i am mortified by, because i know that it is quite a petty thing and meant to be 'natural' but i swear barely anyone else has it, and if they do they seem to have found a way to combat it? and literally it is so embarrassing, it is stopping me from ever going swimming and even when i am on holiday i am terrified to be in a bikini if i haven't shaved that morning because the hair is really noticeable. i also always have to be really careful about what i wear and its just always on my mind. and i cant think of any other way to permanently get rid of it other than laser hair removal? because shaving just seems to make it worse and barely does the job for more than a few hours and waxing hurts too much and i swear it grows back anyway within about 10 days (for me anyway) and getting it done professionally is too expensive. however laser hair removal is just ridiculously expensive, i'm very close with my mum and i asked for it for my birthday but i didnt realise how expensive it was and its just too much. does anyone have any ideas of what i could do or how laser hair removal could be helpful? i need help! And please dont say 'its natural don't worry about it' because i cant go out in a bikini with a hairy abdomen for the rest of my life, i need heeeeelllpppppp xxxx

Am I normal? I went through early puberty and started my period at age 10, I am now almost 16 and although I'm a virgin and not sexually active I'm on the pill because my periods are completely irregular, very heavy and have lasted for weeks in the past and has caused me to have anemia. I also have acute abdominal pain whilst on my period which lasts for days too. Although I'm on the pill I have constant pain in my lower abdomen. I've had blood tests and an ultrasound scan which were clear and my doctor decided that I'm intolerant to wheat and gluten which stopped most of the pain but the pain in my lower abdomen is still there and I can't help but wondering if its something more because my mum, Nan, sisters and other members of my family have all had some problem like endometriosis or ovarian cysts. I would just like to get it sorted out because I don't want to be on the pill forever.

I have had a persistent right sided lower back pain, which I thought was from my job. Only just over a month ago I noticed the right hand size of my lower abdomen was swollen and I was in alot of pain and had unusual bleeding. I was taken to the local walk in centre and they thought it was a suspected appendicitis. I was taken to the hospital to be examined. It turns out I had a uti infection and suspected utereric stones, and I had to take time off work because of the pain. I had a ultrasound 2 days ago and nothing could be found. Although when the doctor pushed the scanner onto the swollen part of my stomach there was a sharp pain, and since then I have had the lower abdomen pain again along with the swelling and I have also started bleeding again. I don't have periods because I have the implant. I am currently waiting on an xray and the camera. I have not got any idea what it could be. I am worrying now because my sister has pcos, fibroids and also had to have an ovarian cyst removed that was 30cm big. If anyone could help I would be very greatful.

After seeing this poor guy on the program having trouble with his enlarged abdomen it made me feel sick that the doctors just basically told him he was fat. That isn't fat on his belly. I have been anorexic for 13 years and are seriously underweight and I suffer from the same thing as him, a very swollen abdomen. How can doctors call me obese when my BMI is 14? It makes me sick that doctors dismissed it like that! When stomach acid is low it causes a swollen abdomen, imbalances in body pH and candida also cause it and yet the doctor never check for these things! I've had to struggle for years with my swollen belly, and nobody ever wants to help, I had to find the answers on my own.

I'm only 14 years old yet this morning, I had an ultrasound scan on my abdomen after having on/off lower back and abdomen pain over the past 10-12 months. She didn't say how large it was but she didnt seem too concerned, saying she'd refer me back to my gp and possibly a gynecologist. I'm just really worried and don't know what to expect regarding gyn visit, surgery, or just leaving it etc. Can anyone give me and advice on what to expect?

I have had a very painful abdomen for weeks and my abdomen is very bloated. It seems to be worse just after I eat,I do not exactly run to the loo but sometimes my stools are very soft and light in colour and sometimes I feel that I have not emptied my bowels after a visit to the loo and still feel bloated. The pain varies from a dull ache in my rigt side and around to my back, lots of gurgling noises, anyone have the same symptoms?

Hi. Now and then I have a pain in my lower abdomen, similar to period pain. When I go the loo, any straining then causes me to pass a 'plug' giving instant relief. The plug itself can only be described as the same that I passed when my waters broke three years ago. It is clear, non smelly, but a consistency of thick hairgel! I'm not worried about STI's as such but more concerned about the pain I get in the abdomen and the fact it's only happened in the last three years after having my baby. All I want to know is if it's normal!! Thanks!

I do a lot of running and lots of playing football etc, when i start exercising i feel a dull pain in my left testicle and the pain spreads to my lower abdomen and somtimes my inner left thigh/hip. Throughout the exercise period the pain eases and then returns for days after I stop. I also get a pain in my lower abdomen when coughing or sneezing, though not always.

Since my surgery my consultant told me that the swelling to my abdomen would lessen, but this dosent have seemed to happen. I have tryed to exercise to lessen the swelling. My stomach is always bloated and I'm putting on weight easily and I go to gym regularly and I'm in constant pain in my middle abdomen, my gf has lower abdomen pains and just for one day after sex she burned when urinating, never happened again! make sure that you and anyone you've been with recently gets tested for everything. STIs arent usually that big a deal - antibiotics or freezing if you have warts. but you need to be more careful in future. go to the STI clinic or doctors and stop having sex until you're both clear of everything.

hello when I was a child I had undescended testicles, I had to have surgery to have them brought them brought down into my scrotum. I was around 8 years of age at the time. I did notice on and off for quite a long while after the surgery I did get quite a sharp pain in my lower abdomen once a week. thankfully I have stopped getting that pain as I got older, however one day I noticed a dark spot on the top right of my penis I went to my doctor one day, now as a caution I have had to have it monitored every few months by another doctor, sometimes I do get a dull ache in my lower abdomen. I'm 34 years of age.

Hi, I have been suffering from the exact same symptoms as Gemma for 4 years. Excessive belching, stomach gurgling loudly, pain in the abdomen especially severe if I am late eating, change in bowel motions from one a day to 3 a day. I have tried everything, gluten free diet, gastrosocopy (results negative for everything), ultrasound on abdomen, blood tests, stool tests, antibiotics but nothing has worked. Recently the pain in my abdomen got really bad and I ended up in hospital and they put me on 20mg Omeprazole which has made a big difference but I still belch after eating, so I started researching further. I am in the process of doing a stool test for parasites because this all started after I returned from a trip to the USA in 2007 of which I visited Mexico and ate and drank there. The stool test is being tested by Genova Diagnostics in the US. I live in New Zealand. I have also recently been to a chiropractor who has told me my nerves that are attached to my digestive system are not good and that I will need to do a detox and have some manipulation. I am excited about this. Would be interested to hear how you are doing.

I had laparascopic ventral rectopexy on March 10th 2014. I feel that although there has been an improvement in my symptoms.. I am still recovering from the op. I am getting general aches and pains in abdominal area(bit like period pain feeling) and I feel it when sit down with tenderness along in lower abdomen..also have tenderness at sight of one of the incisions which consultant thinks is a hernia.I do not have the feeling of pressure in rectum which was always present but my bowel has not yet settled(told could be several months)and I have to take movicol to avoid constipation. Before op was always 'aware' of bowel..now always 'aware' of discomfort in abdomen.

I am 19 years old. When I first started bleeding from 'behind'- 4 years ago- I ignored it, then the doctor told me to keep a food diary- was useless. A colonscopy, and some radiation thing later-two years ago- I had a rectoplexy- part of my lower large intestine removed -to fix a prolapsed bowel (never protruded). I have a large scar across my abdomen from this. Since this I have had very similar symptoms to before I had even had the operation. It interferes with daily life and I am on anti-depressants to stop the anxiety I get when I think about needing to go to the loo. The pain I get in my abdomen is huge and despite numerous referrals, I feel like they have no answers for me anymore. Remember- GPS have seen everything, so dont be ambarrassed! If I had waited any longer, I could be incontinent today.

hey i have also had unprotected sex and found i was getting sharp pains in my abdomen unfortunatly i collapsed in school and got taken to the hospital by ambulance i then found out that i had an illness called gasteritis it is the acid in your stomach there is too much of it and the only place for itto go is up so it travels to your stomach/abdomen area and thats what the sharp pains are if you have a serious and untreated amount like me then the acid can get trapped round your lungs and circulates through the blood. i have experienced this and im not tellin you this to scare you but i think you should go to your doctor and get it checked out the longer you wait the more serious it gets dont leave it to late i was in surgery for 12 hoursand in hospital for a month.

Hi I am 28 years old and I have sagging breasts that I hate. First of all I did breast feed and more on the left breast than the right because the left seemed to have more milk. NOW the Left breast is lower than the right and sags so much that it touches my abdomen and hurts and the nipple is over sensitive from all the rubbing on my abdomen. I wish I could have a lift or something it its so irritating. I have tried brass and bandages on my nipple but they don't work and it just seems to be getting worse. At some points I just feel like chopping them off. All this pain cant be worth having breasts and I don't care what anyone tell me breast feeding did cause my breast to sag and more on the left because my baby breast fed more on that side. If you guys have any suggestions to help with my sagging breast and hurt nipples please post it I am at my wits end. I am 28 and having to deal with this embarrassing problem.
