I have a question regarding foot blisters. I know someone who has a blister on the back of each foot. It started out as a normal blister but after 7 years the blister has become very hard and feels like bone. When the foot is upright its like a big lump sticking out of the back of the foot. Like I said its very hard, like bone. What advice is there available for such a problem? Is it something that will need operating on?

I often get what i only describe as a "friction blister" on my inner lips (which are quite large) after foreplay with my husband. It doesn't happen every time, and i have spoken to my gp about it, he said he had never seen it before, and therefore had no idea. He thinks using more lubricant could help, but we tried that and it made no difference, its only been happening for the last 6 yrs (i am now 38) i am doing nothing different in my sex life. the "blister" is about 1-2cm and lasts for a few days after, and can be very uncomfortable to walk and painful to touch.... any idea's what it caan be and why its happening????

I am 20 years old and 34 weeks pregnant, me and my husband had sex and with in 10minutes after intercourse I went to the bathroom and noticed that I have a marble sized purpleish blue ball in my right vaginal lip. It reminds me of a blood blister, only instead of being on my hand it's on my vagina. I am extremely worried because I have had a UTI throughout my whole pregnancy but it cannot be treated because of my allergies, I don't not know if the blood blister like ball and my UTI are somehow related but I am scared it may affect my baby. SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I have recently acquired an increasing number of itchy raised blister-type spots on my arms. It started as one (which was what my mother always called a beauty spot)that I scratched one day and now i have several on both arms. I don't realise I have them until they itch and I scratch and break the skin. As with a blister it is filled with fluid and once the fluid is released it leaves a small hole in my arms.I suffer with poor mental health and have classic signs of SPD and so am finding it impossible to leave them alone as they are trying to heal. I also have rosacea which is not under control...could it be related? Any help you could offer would be gratefully received .

I have a two year old son who has been diagnosed with this today however i am not convinced that it is this, he 1st had a blister in the crease of his arm on thursday and by today (sunday) he cant move his arm and the blister is the size of a small orange, its weeping and is surrounded by smaller blisters. It almost seems like the blister is pitting into his arm. He also has another large indented mark on the other arm which wasnt there friday and smaller blisters on his trunk legs and arms. Does this sound like molluscum to any of you? Does it spread at this rapid rate? and is it so aggressive?

i dont know for sure but it sounds more like shingles. my daughter had this when she was 4 really badly and it does suddenly spread from her left arm pit and towards her breast area and round to her back. i believe it only attacks one side of the body. I would revisit your doctor as certainly the molluscum which my daughter now has, grows at a slower rate so it may not be that. you could google shingles to see if any photos resembles what your son has? hope this helps. good luck.

I am 32, Male. Got shingles 3 weeks back in between my ring finger and middle finger on my right hand. As I am travelling and don't have medical insurance. Hence I consulted via google about this virus. The blister grew really big, my hand got inflamed too. Had fever for a night; but I kept it clean. I did nt burst the blister deliberately and at first it was a rash, then it become all transparent bubble blister with some kind a liquid in it (I have pictures to share too) then last week the liquid became all dark maroon; I did nt burst the blister but 2 days back I accidentally got it burst, I cleaned it with cold tab water and saw that this had eaten my flesh. I'm quite afraid; need help plz advice what to apply on it? I don't have insurance so can't see the doctor?!? I have taken pictures of all stages and can share if needed.

I have it on my middle finger. My Doc thought it was whitlow at first. Then he told me about a shingles outbreak. I recalled outbreak on my bicep 15 yrs ago. The next day I recalled a tingly feeling in my bicep. The next day my bicep tingled again. MY Dr. Showed it me image of nerves from bicep to middle finger. It all made sense. My finger was on fire and pain radiated in my finger. It was the worse pain I had. I went to Dr. after 9 days. It was less painful but i thought it was spreading. Was still infected under skin and more blusters appeared. Ibuprofin worked for relief. The blisters have to dry up and fall off. I used essential oils.. Dr said polysporin would be ok. Hope it helps.

Hi there. I accidentally just popped a blister too! I was diagnosed with shingles 2 days ago. I put tea tree oil on the affected area and covered it with a bandaid. I hope that's okay. I don't know what I'm supposed to do!? Did you ever get any answers to your questions?

I had veruccas on the ball of my foot for over 15years and tried literally everything - cautery, cryotherapy, salycitic acid, even human breastmilk. I have just been cured!!! Go to a dermatologist and ask for catharidin, extract of the blister beetle. Totally painless to apply, created a large blister (do NOT pop it). 2 weeks later, I have new skin and veruccas are totally gone. THIS WORKS!!!

I've had this:it started with a round raised blister-like thing about two inches away from my anus which just wouldn't go away and every few days would get especially painful then burst rather messily! In the end, although I was embarrassed, I went to get it looked at and it turned out to be an anal fistula. I had two operations within 6 months to sort it out. The op involved having the 'blister' opened up so it drains then having it packed with a special dressing so it stays open and heals properly. Mine did in the end and I've had no trouble since so I'm glad I got it seen to!

Hi I had a similar problem. Christmas day in 2006 I woke up feeling ill but couldn't explain why. When I tried to walk I was in pain and I notice a small red mark on my leg. The mark increased in size and by midday I was in more pain and starting with a temperature. I was taken to a&e where a line was drawn round the rapidly growing red patch. I became very ill as it tracked up my leg to my groin. A week of IV anti biotics had got rid of the cellulitus but a small blister had appeared. I went home and was told not to pop the blister. A week passed and several visits from Drs I still didn't know what was wrong with me. The blister was very large. Fluid was drained from my blister, bloods and samples had revealed nothing. 2 months passed and I was re-admitted. After a week of prodding, poking and everything else I was seen by a dermatologist who diagnosed it in seconds as PG. I was relieved that someone knew what I had. A biopsy was done which confirmed it was PG. it was completely healed after 4.5months with no treatment of any type after I was diagnosed. No other tests were done and I have no idea why or how I got PG or if there is an underlying illness. I still suffer with tiredness constantly and have been anaemic since 2006. I don't know if it is connected to PG and don't know if PG remains in your body dormant or if I'm cured. I would like to know the answer if anyone knows.

Hi I have a red sore with a white head on the inside if my bum cheek, it just appeared today and is quiet big maybe the tip of a finger size, the thing is it's not sore, and I did get a new job where I basically sit for 9 hours and was thinking that was why! I'm just worried incase it could be herpes but would it not be sore and more than one blister? I have a long term bf and never cheated! Been with him for a year and this is the 1st time I've seen something like this! He does get cold sores but were overly safe if that's possible when he gets one! Please any advice is helpful cause I'm worried., does it sound like hepers or just a random sore\blister with another cause

Hi all, I got my first 2 verucca's in my early 20's which stayed there for a number of years. I imagine leaving them untreated was what led to what i had in my mid 20's - were large areas on one foot covered in verucca's developed over a couple of months and stayed there for a year or so. I started digging at them with scissors and filing them which probably led to me getting some on my hands/fingers. I ended up using a silver nitrate pen on some of the bigger areas which didn't really work all that well. I then froze one on my thumb/knuckle which led to a sore blister developing. About two weeks later, the whole lot had gone on my feet and hands. Not sure why but seem to follow on from that blister

Many thanks for your comments , i have since been given 2% salicylic acid to apply to the warts on my chin - i did expect it to blister but they havent , i apply it at night and by the morning i can pick the tops of the warts off . i have only been using this a week or so but it has given the warts a much smoother appearance and makes it easier to cover with make up . I have been told that they may disappear on their own . I do feel that these warts are stress related as they only started appearing when my job got more stressfull . I will keep you all posted with this treatment p.s Chris - i totally agree with the awful blister and scab , worst part of it all , i went into hiding for about a week , couldnt bare to be seen !!!

I was bitten on my back three years ago and developed a very large blister this blister subsided and I was left with a large circle which then started to develop white tissue paper like patches within. This patch has remained to this time. I began to develop other small bruises on other areas of my body. My G.P. gave me a course of antibiotics which did not cure the problem. The G.P. sent me to see a skin speciallist who diagnosed a condition called Lichen Sclerosus. When he examined my Vulval area it was also affected by this. I have been undergoing a course of steroid treatment but feel that these make my symptoms worse than if I dont use them at all. Can anyone recomend alternative treatment?
