I had what I thought was an insect bite on my waistband area that has now turned into a raised rash. The area has small red spots that have blistered and popped making the skin underneath red and warm to the touch. What could it be and what should I do please?

I would go to the doctor it sounds like bv (bacterial vaginosis). It can be easily treated with meds.

I took ofloxacin for epididymitis and it gave me balanitis. After 7 months I finally got rid of it with Eumovate. However I then needed Ciprofloxacin for an epididymitis flare-up and for 18 months have had balanitis. At first it was flaky and blistered but after creams hadnt worked I got rid of these symptoms using Manuka Honey. However other symptoms remain- painful erections, extreme stinging after ejaculation, slight redness and tighter than it was foreskin, very wrinkled, plasticy skin and 70% sensation loss. Even worse, after using strong steroids for so long the skin became thin and I could see all the blood vessels and sensation went completely. If I do not masturbate for 4 or 5 days sensation returns to 30% max but I don't orgasm and the sensation goes again completely after masturbating once or twice (possibly because the skin is thin and nerves damage easily?). Obviously with no sensation it will lead to impotence and I find it hard to get erect at times. I am depressed and scared and lose the will to live at times, I do not know what else I can do and circumcision would remove

I am 30 years old I have fought with obesity my whole life. I was 26 stone at my heaviest. I have worked very very hard to lose the weight with no pills or help at all, I am now down to 15 stone and I am losing more every week. However I have lots of extra skin. Its to the point that I would prolly be very close to my idea weight if the skin was removed. Is there anything I can do to tone the skin up, I already get plenty of activity and exersize. I get horible rashes and boils and other skin blisters from all the skin. and frankly I'd almost rather be fat then have this skin and the sores and problems it causes. what can be done?

Hi, I really feel for you. I am going through the same thing, not as bad though. I was 19.5 stone and now down to 12.5 stone. I am probably too thin it's just the excess skin keeping my weight up. I am have started doing weights for the last 5 months, 4 times a week, and have been watching my diet, eating lots of protein. I have seen some improvements, but very very slowly. I am going to keep at it til next August to give it every chance of succeeding, but it is a struggle as everyday I think I am going crazy. I have never gone to the beach my whole life, never taken my top off in front of anyone. I can't even have a girlfriend. I hope the exercise works, if not I will go for the surgery as I have to get rid of it. I hope you find a an answer. But I think it is surgery to get rid of the excess skin. keep working on it.

Im 48 and also been fighting obesity all my life. I was 21stone 6ft tall. I got down to 12 1/2 stone and was going to the gym all the time. Going to the gym will certainly tone you up but you would have to put on loads of muscle to hide loose skin and then you have to have the right genetic build for it! I even considered illegally using steroid injections to weight train, but because I had slimmed to be healthy I thought pumping myself full off lethal crap was contradictory to what I set out to do in the first place. My view is I can either stare at my loose skin or stare at my scars from plastic surgery. What I can't stare at is a lean healthy weight body without scars or either loose skin sadly. But at least I will live to see my kids grow up.

i have a skin tag looking little flap a bit whitish in color between the lips and beging part of the vagina some ways above my clitoris skin tag or a wart? i will be going to my doctor in two days but i am so worried and driving my self crazy i would love an opinion the skin tag looking flap sticks out and is not flush with the surrounding skin also there is only one andi am also 13 weeks pregnant and also heavy set like i said looks like a skin tag please help thank you

Male, 20. I had a Skin Tag located in my arm pit for a number of years before it thrombosed and fell away from the skin. However a couple of months afterwards, I recently have found a small lump under my skin, from where the skin tag used to exist. The lump is painful to touch at the moment. Should I be concerned?

Hi, i recently got very badly burnt on my shoulders and the skin blistered. It was so bad i was unable to lift my arms or wear a top. I used acriflex and it's starting to heal, but the skin is really dry and cracked, I keep rubbing savalon on it to try to keep it moist but it just doesn't seem to sink in. And when it's dry it rubs against my clothes and becomes very itchy and sore. Should I just leave the skin to peel away by itself or should I "help" it along? Also are there any better creams to help it?

i tried selsun but it blistered all my skin! i have tried about 3 different creams and nothing ever gets rid of it, my doctor told me its permenant! I have it on my neck chest stomach back and both arms, all it seems to do is get worse, so im kinda given up on it now ive had it for about 8 years.

The skin on my shoulder blade started itching 2weeks ago and scratching the skin didn't ease the itch (the skin under my armpit on the same side has now started to itch), at first there was nothing there on the skin, and then after 4-5days a mole suddenly appeared, it was skin coloured to start of with and then after a couple of days turned a pale tan colour. It took 2days to grow in size starting as small as a spot and is now 3-4mm in diameter. The itching has since eased somewhat (it still has it's moments)and I can now sense the mole is there. It hasn't bled. As a teenager I got sunburnt badly which blistered on my back, should I be worried?

My husband has this mysterious foot condition that 2 GP's and a skin professional cannot identify. it starts as several small blisters appear on the sole of one foot (it doesn't spread), they become very pressurised as they grow and they are filled with clear fluid even though it looks yellow (if you prick it with a needle it refills quickly), then within a week or so the fluid disappears and the blistered skin becomes dry and grey/mouldy in colour, like a scab, and eventually will fall off. Only to reappear after a month or so. Does anyone else had anything similar sounding???

i have this problem the hostpital said i will always have it he said no won can catch it from me but my own doctor gave me some cream i put the cream on then wrap my heel up in cling film so the air dose not get to it.after about three days i take it off then repeat it.you cannot get rid of it altogether but it helps i have this for about 5 years i hate it the name of the cream is fucibet.after the first lot cream i have to burst the blisters then put the cream back on

I've had this quite a few times, but its really easy to get rid of. It can be VERY irritating, up to a point where you rub the skin so much, that flakes of it come off, and it bleeds and pusses in places. It also gets very blistered, but when i went to mydoctor to get checked out, she gave me a special kind of cream. Its called Bteadine ointment, and it really eases the itchyness. She also told me to always wear cotton fabric socks until it goes. It works really well and i highly recomend it.

Sheila, urinate on your feet. Sounds gross but it works. REALLY. in the shower last thing before rinsing off. Then pat dry your toes before putting socks on. My toes used to turn black crack bleed and swell. They cause minimal pain now with this remedy. Good luck!

when i was 14 i got severe sun burn on my chest and arms. it blistered badly and has taken years to fully recover! it was my first time abroad and i went with my auntie and uncle. after i burnt i dint realise that the factor 15 sun lotion i was putting on was infact oil (thick i know) so i was putting oil on my already badly burnt skin. i have fair skin and hair and blue eyes with lots of moles. i have been burnt many times in the past and never knew the damage i was doing to my skin until now. i have a few dodgy moles and i am scared that they could turn cancerous. one is very sore it doesnt bleed but hurts to touch. and another has an uneven lighter shaded circle around my mole. many of my moles i have had since i was a little girl. i hate going to my gp as they make me feel that i am wasting there time and i cant talk to them. what do i do? i know i am high risk!!

Hi, I've had varicose veins for 20 years now, first ones since the age of 18. Been having pain with them for the past year. I went to my GP and insisted on a referral. My appointment was one month later with the specialist then I had to wait for the scan 2 months. Then another 2 months for the Endovenous laser treatment. All on the NHS. I didn't once mention that I didn't like the sight of them as I knew they wouldn't operate if they thought it was for just cosmetic reasons. If they cause you any discomfort you must insist on a referral. Good luck!

Hi I have recently been diagnose with sweet syndrome but can't seem to find very much information on it , it is believe to have been caused by a throat infection and although that was 3months ago I am still getting out breaks of blistered spots mainly on my hands these are being controlled with steroids but I don't would to be on these long term

I have had lp for 40 years and just had a break out. My dermatologist gave me prednisone which helped. She just tried a laser treatment on one spot on my hand. It hurt really bad, now is very dark, blistered and bruised. Won't know for a month if it is doing something. Can't imagine having this treatment on all my spots. Was very painful.

Where to begin?! I had one wart on my thumb around two years ago, I had it treated by freezing by my GP and all was fine. Very soon after I had a new small wart on my chin, again my GP froze it. It went away but then came back. It was frozen again. And, you guessed it came back again! I tried treating it myself with over-the-counter wart cures but with no success. I even tried the garlic glove taped to it. My advice on this method is simply, DON'T TRY IT! It burnt my skin badly on my chin. It did then scab and heeled OK however, the warts came back, and this time not just one but three, four then ten or so very small ones all on my chin. My GP again froze the area, it burnt it; scabbed, and heeled, but once again they continue to reappear. The only way I deal with them now is by putting a little dab of wart treatment brought over-the-counter which is meant for feet, it works and seems to remove each one and, very importantly it does not cause the mass of burnt skin that is the result of the GP freezing treatment. I later got one on my wrist. Again the GP treated it by freezing it. It blistered very badly - into the size of a wine gum! It healed fine but the problem, which seems to effect damaged skin, I now have a cluster of small, what I think is warts there! Is there no end in sight! I'm going to try the banana skin idea from previous posts and I think I really do need a second professional opinion. Although I do fear that I have exhausted most standard routes of medical treatments. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. :-)

I am 39 and for 3 years i am suffering a daily nightmare. it started after my second child was born. it is constant stinging , swelling , redness , blistered and broken skin, painful intercourse, thrush is the norm for me now. my gp was sick looking at me i felt and prescribed meds that never worked , i went to a dermatologist who said i had vulvodynia and i was to go home and live with it , i have been tested and examined that many times that i have lost faith in the medical profession , i have spent thousands on consultants and medication. my next step is patch testing to see if i am allergic to anything that may trigger if off, . There are days i can only wear track suit bottoms as jeans etc would be too painful. I feel i can take no more of it , i watch embarrassing bodies praying that someone will have the same condition.

Two weeks ago I had one cryo frozen at my doctors wart clinic. I've had it for over two years and have tried everything! It has not got bigger but I suffer with plantar fasciitis and need to be seen for that and I'm embarrassed about the verruca. I've read all the comments but now I'm worried this isn't going to work either?! I cannot say how much it hurt!! It REALLY hurt as the nurse blasted it four times. It blistered and now has gone a dark red all the way round but I'm beginning to think that will clear and leave the wart!!

Hello, I am now 21, but when I was 20 I slept in the sin in Greece for four hours have really bad sunburn on my breasts and leg and the sunburn on leg blistered two. I have got mild hypopigmetnation on both breasts and leg, will it go away and will the colour return back to normal those parts and will it still tan in the sun again. I did go back to Greece this year but did keep out of the sun but I did put the lwg in the sun for a tiny while. I did use Bio-oil on it , it has been 1 and 4 months since it happened. Many thanks

HI I too suffer when abroad. I found the last holiday in 30 degree heat in Italy that as a last resort, using my facial scrub on the affected areas really helped. It happened early on in the holiday and the scrub helped scratch the itch, burst the blister sand I went home with a lovely even tan and no one would have guessed I spent 4days blistered and in agony!

i go on holiday about twice or threee times a year and i always get told to put suncream on. my mom used carrot oil so i always nick her carrot and it caused serious sunburn and this year i blistered so badly all for a tan and i ended up BRIGHT red not brown. i would advise you to wearr high factor sun cream and dont make same mistake i did that really ruined my holiday and also made me come out in heat rash !!
