I'm a female 25 and only last 5months I've started developing a rash on my face,it's blotchy, itchy, mostly around my eyes and mouth and will last for 2weeks of the month. The main trigger for rash is my menstrual cycle, bang on menstruation, I break out in this rash but it's only on my face, this is only time it happens. I've gone to my local GP and he reckons it is impetigo! I have explained to him about my menstrual cycle but he insisted it's impetigo, however I think it is something else. Any women who can help??

I have endometriosis however my question is more about a strange rash on my belly. I know it is because I use a hot water bottle at that time of the month. I like it to be very hot(but the heat never seems to penetrate down enough to that pulsing ache in my womb). The rash is also on my thighs since I am often in the curled position with the hot water bottle resting on my thighs and across my belly. At first I didnt really notice the rash begin it was so faint and then over time it got worse and worse it sort of looks like the capillaries have burst under the skin as it is quite blotchy white and red. Can I repair this damage? Or am I stuck with this rash as another symptom of endometriosis? Thanks.

i had this happen to me after giving birth to my first child, was told by my consultant that i had something called chronic hurtacaria, she told me thst a change in my hormones had left me allergic to certain foods & medcines & that it would come & go of its own accord, the only thing that cleared it up was oral steroids which i could't take forever so i had to learn to live with it until i got pregnant again & to my relief at 30wks pregnant i stopped itching & touch wood haven't itched since.

Hi, I'm 15 and a week ago I began to develop a small pink, blotchy rash on both of my hips (at first it seemed to be dry skin). over the week the redness calmed down but the rash continued to develop. A couple of days ago I notice the rash was going red again and was itchy whenever I got warm e.g. In the shower, it is still itchy now and is still developing over my hips and up my sides. I haven't eaten different foods, used different wash products or used different washing detergents. I have also tried a cream called epaderm which is for eczema and dry skin but I haven't noticed any difference. Any advice??

What Beta Blockers do you take to stop the severe blushes? I have heard there is an operation you can have to stop this blushing/flushing from happening.

Hi, I don't have an answer but i can sympathise becasue i have teh exact same problem. I can't wear low cut tops- I live in polo necks and dread the summer as i can't wear them and I know people see my neck going red- it controls my life too. I started taking beta blockers and they have helped stop the severe blushes but haven't solved it completely. I read that botox injections can stop the blushing and I am going to see a doctor soon who might be able to help. You should ask your doctor about these things.

Hi. I am 25 and for years I have suffered with this same embarrassing blotchy red rash that appears on my neck, chest, tops of my arms and sometimes my cheeks. It happens at all times like when i'm nervous, embarrassed, excited, upset, angry. It happens when i'm hot, somtimes when i drink alcohol too. It really gets me down as its just so embarrassing especially when it happens when in a public place and people comment, like 'oh you've got a big red rash all over' or 'oh why have you gone so red?' Ive never been to my doctor about it as I just think they will laugh at me! I just wish there was a miracle cure as its ruining my confidence. I want to be able to wear nice dresses etc without worrying about going all red and blotchy :(

I'm 20 and get a blotchy red rash starting on my chest and radiating up my neck to my face when i get nervous, and sometimes when i feel completely comfortable. I recently become very anxious, it was very unexpected and came on almost instanly. I experienced the rash and heat, and what feels like elevated blood pressure, for the past two days or so. How can regain a sense of calm and settle my rash and pulse??

I'm a 21 year old guy and have suffered with this problem for around 6 months, whenever I feel nervous, anxious, hot or uncomfortable my face gets red and blotchy (patchy) it is hot, itchy and very noticeable. I had never experienced this problem before until one day a lady stopped to speak to me in a shop, I felt myself go red in the face, but it didn't bother me as I had always gone red when embarrassed or nervous and have somewhat learnt to deal with it and carry on. A few seconds later my girlfriend thought I had had an allergic reaction to something as my face and neck had turned red and blotchy, I looked in the mirror and realised that it wasn't just the usual blushing (all over red face or cheeks)but I had multiple red patches on my forehead, cheeks, neck and chin. Since then I have started a new job and this problem has become a nuisance and can really get me down, not one day passes when I do not have one of these phases. My job involves talking to a lot of clients and colleagues with a high status. As soon as I feel the smallest bit anxious or nervous I break out in this red blotchy rash! I am hoping that this is a temporary problem maybe down to hormones, as I also had a problem with excessive sweating which I seem to be able to control now with the right anti perspirant (although I am still limited to only wearing white or black at work). Wouldn't it be great if this issue was featured on embarrassing bodies?

I have a 12 year old son who over the course of a day developed very red and sore looking rash on his face, predominantly his cheeks. He also felt a bit lethargic and had a temperature on the first evening. I took him to my GP and she diagnosed acne. There are no heads to the spots and his very red blotchy areas under his eyes so I do not agree with her diagnosis.

Hi, i am going through what sound to be the exact same problem, apart from ive nevrr had any pain around the anus area but my groins almost near the hamstring area ache.evrrything else is the same. i have had all the std checks and seen my gp for a full general check up. although he basically plain refused to check my prostate even though im 30 & its perfectly plausable to have problems. im getting depressed and anxious & constantly thinking about it, its ruining my life! As soon as any information is available on this subject i would be very greatful for some advice. Thanks

I have in the past year noticed dark blotchy rash like marks on my shoulders, back, neck and breasts. My doctors said it would go away itself overtime and was caused by excess hormones from having a baby but it has got worse. It is itchy at times and looks awful so I cover it up.

I go all blotchy when i get out of the bath, i put a continuous coverage foundation on straight away to cover the redness up. But the tops of my arms are blotchy too and my back, like circles of dry skin. It is embarrasing, i dont even let my partner see me. Also i go bright red if i'm in a warm room, it's awful and if someone talks to me it makes me even worse. Can you help me because i have lived with this for years and it's taking over my life? My knees tend to get overheated too and go red and feel hot to touch. I am so embarrassed.
