i am 28 and and have a green discharge from left nipple, i get painful abcesses all over the breast. i have spoken to my doctor about this but he wont send me for tests and i am concerned about breast cancer as there is history in my mothers side, the nipple gets sensitive and i have to squeeze the discharge out and sometimes it can be a a couple of drops or a bigger amount. i have a white discharge from right nipple but dont tend to get abcesses on that breast. i have pcos and have had it a few years and there is no chance of being pregnant as i have not had a period over a year due to depro shot. I need help and advice as it worries me and my partner, i have tried the breast test and feel loads of small lumps so not sure what is normal and what isnt, as well as what feels like swollen tubes, i am reall concerned as this has been going on for a few months? my breasts went from a 42dd to a 42g, i also find that i sweat alot under my breast and between, i have considered breast reduction but cannot afford it and my doctor is no help at all he always dismisses things.

I finished my period about a week ago so i know its not because of that and also knoow its not that i'm pregnant. on examining the breast the tissue feels alot firmer at the top of the breast than at the bottom but the whole breast aches and feels heavy?

Hi, Over the last 6 months my breasts have been rather tender and have got a lot bigger. It feels as though I have milk coming in as if I was breast feeding. I did breast feed my children but it has been almost 6 years since. My breasts have always been small. I have now gone up by 2 cup sizes. I have had discharge from both nipples in the past and I saw the GP, who told me not to worry as long as there is no blood. I cannot feel any lumps in either breast, but one has started to discharge again. It is very little, only a drop or 2. Not sure if it makes any difference or not I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and I still have my ovaries but I have endomeriosis on those. Saying that there is no pattern that makes me think it is related to my monthly cycle. Thanks for any advise

I have nipple discharge in one breast that only happens when I squeeE it. It's like a clear to milky colour. I have pain in the leaking breast but only really when it's being pressed on. I have had a prolactain level blood test done and that has come back normal. I don't have any lumps or changes to my breast or nipple. My doctor says it's normal and nothing can be done about it. But I am really getting freaked out by it especially when I hear it can be a sign of breast cancer. Pls tell me what is wrong and if it is dangerous Thank u x

I am a 28 year old women. I have had no children. My breast are a 34FF. I am not over weight. I have breast mice which was diagonsed about 6 years ago they told me that i could have the lumps removed. there are 22 in one breast and 21 in the other. I decided that i didnt want surgery at that time. Over the past year i have had a green discharge from my both breasts. I have not seen a breast surgon since i was diagnosed or had them checked. Ive also noticed how sagging they are becomming. I have seen my GP who thought it may be the hormone Prolactine but this test has come back fine. Im now worrid and the Gp has refered me to the breast specialist but said that it could take some time. Can anyone give me advise as this seems very strange and there is cases of breast cancer in the family. I just want to know what is going on and dont want to have to wait for months. Ive tried a breast screaning unit but apparantly im too young for any teast there and have to see my Gp.

Hi, I was diagnosed with a breast mouse which was removed when I was 17 (I'm 27 now). For the past 2 years I have been having a strange green discharge which is sticky in nature and builds up to a point where it actually hurts and sometimes I have to squeeze my nipple to release the pressure by squeezing the green stuff out. I have had this checked but it still worries me as all my specialist said was that it is probably a damaged milk duct and will clear away on it's own. However she sent me for an ultra sound where the technician said I had "normal" breast tissue and no damage that she could see! I'm getting anxious as my husband and I are talking about trying for a baby and when the time comes I would like to breast feed. If anyone has any advice it would be greatfully received.

Hello I am 50 years old. for about the last 8 years or so i have been getting a clear to creamy discharge from my left breast, of and on. I also have some swollen lymph nodes under my right armpits. I have been to the breast cancer clinic and was told that everything is alright but I am still a little worried. It would help to know what causes the discharge ( i have two children 25 and 13) and why the lymph nodes are swollen and if they will ever go down again.

Hi, Im a 32 year old woman. My right breast (& armpit area) are painful and feel like a bruise is there when I lay on my right side. There isn't a bruise & I can't feel any lumps although I do have a lot of breast mass. It's been painful for the last several months or so now & I thought nothing much more than normal because as a woman you hear all the time that breast pain is "normal". What is starting to concern me is that in the past the pain would come and go in both breast but now it's just my right breast & permanently there. Should I be worried or is this just "normal". I seem to exhibit signs of breast infection however I'm not breastfeeding and have never had children. I also cant recall ever bumping or hurting it but even if I did, would the discomfort have lasted this long? I've tried other things like not wearing a bra for ages, even stopped shaving under that arm incase it was infection but nothing helps. Could this be a cyst I just can't feel? I am overweight. No other notable changes ie no discharge, no breast shape change or dimpling so I'm really not sure what or if I should go to doctor about this. No fevers, night sweats etc. Sorry for rambling on.

Hi, I've just been to the dr with what sounds like a similar problem. Pain in the arm pit and breast and a hardening of the breast tissue across the top, I wasn't going to go because I didn't think anything was wrong but I'm glad I did. I have had it checked today and have been told that this is not normal and that I need to see a specialist and have a mammogram and scan. My advise would be to be safe, get it checked out! I can let you know how I get on if you'd like xx take care xx em, aged 30 x

Thanks for your response Emma, I'm sorry to hear that you too are going through this. Since I wrote in I have been to the doctor and already been to the hospital for scan, they really sped things up which was so good. All showed up as normal breast tissue and I've been told not to worry about it being cancer. So that's ruled out although I still do not know what is wrong or why. I'm going to try anti inflammatory gel as the doc thought that may help. Even the ultrasound scan was painful for me as they have to press down when they run the scanner (not sure on technical name). There cld be possibility that it's pain coming from somewhere else but it feels like the breast. You cld try leaning forward when u do your next self exam and if you don't feel pain in breast you know it's not there. I hope this helps a bit before you go so you can explain to doc you tried this and that. Keep me posted on your progress pls as hopefully between us we can come up with something. Evening primrose oil also helps with breast pain xxx

Hi, I'm 27 years old. My left breast larger than my right breast, and I have problem right here that I had to use to it. I thinking of my breasts skin is allergy to my bra. When I wear a bra both my twins extremely itch, problem solve when I am braless. Further more whenever I try to squeeze my nipples there will be white discharge oozing out and my left breast white discharge more than my right breast. It's happen randomly at the beginning, but 2 years back it getting itchy more frequently and I have to squeeze hard to release this white discharge. Sometimes this happened before periods, Sometimes after periods. Is this normal? Or it's a sign of cancer?

Hi I'm 24 and last year I found a lump in my breast I was getting a slight discharge from my nipple. I eventually had it removed on Christmas Eve. The doctors said it was a papilloma. Since then I have found a larger lump in the same breast but a different spot and I am getting even more nipple discharge and I'm worried what it could be as my doctors won't listen to me. I know it's not the same as before as I had my whole milk duct removed with the tumour and my breast doc says she can feel a lump but at a&e they said they could feel it and it wasn't rite they were quite concerned. Plus where my lump is my Breast keeps badly bruising any ideas please. Tia x

Hello, Changes to your body can be a scary experience. It is recommended that you check your breasts on a regular basis because you know your breasts better than anyone else, you can spot changes as they happen. It sounds like this discharge is not a normal occurance for you. Any changes to your breasts should be noted to your health care professional, if it is anything serious then you may have caught it early. I don't want to scare you but below are some signs and symptoms of breast cancer. Whether or not you have any of these signs/symptoms does not mean that you have breast cancer, but you should have your health care professional take a look: Lumps either in the breast, along the chest bone, and in the armpit area. o These lumps do not come and go, but remain and may grow over time.  Unusual change in breast shape or size  Changes in the skin of the breast o Dimpling or puckering o Thickening and discolouration – “orange peel” effect  Redness, swelling and increased warmth  Nipple changes; o Crusting, ulcers or scaling o Inverted nipples – if it is sudden and not your norm o Nipple discharge o Itching of the nipple or breast

I have this too. I finished breast feeding 5 yrs ago but still get yellowy discharge from one breast if I squeeze it. Am wondering now if this is something to worry about?

Hi I'm 37 and had a fibro adenoma removed in 2005. After the surgery I suffered from mastitis and the surgeon told me I had numerus cysts in both breasts but more in the left, (where the fibro adenoma was removed) I found it hard with all these cysts to check myself, I became paranoid with any new thing I found and went numerous times to my GP who said everything was fine. I just had to learn how to watch for changes and I have stopped the trips to the GP. Now I have noticed discharge from my right nipple, (about 6 months ago) it started green then yellow from several ducts. I checked on the internet that this was nothing to worry about, but more recently the discharge is clear from only one duct and I also have some thickening inside the breast with a very small lump underneath, to the right side of the nipple on the right breast, sometimes I do also have itchy burning nipples/breast. Is this anything to worry about, I'm really not sure as I do have to squeeze the nipple to get the discharge. I don't want to bother my GP again for no good reason.

I have a problem with my breasts. I have a green discharge coming from them when I press my nipple. I have been to the Breast Clinic and they said it was a side effect of my pill, Brevinor, but I have been off the pill for nearly a year now and the problem is still there. The discharge can be clear green, cloudy green and sometimes milky white and has a smell. I worry this will stop me from breast feeding when I start a family. Please help!

I am 27, my left breast is about half a cup size larger than my right breast, is a bit saggy and feels less "elastic" if that makes sense? I do get quite self conscious about it, also because my nipples are hairy, especially the right one. Is it normal for one nipple to be hairier than the other? My main concern, however, is that I have a green watery discharge from my left breast. I first noticed it 7 years ago when I was sunbathing topless in my back garden (not something I have done since!). It came out spontaneously on that occasion, but since then it only comes out when I squeeze my breast. It only takes a small amount of pressure, and my doctor tested my prolactin levels at the time and said it was normal. I also went for an ultrasound on my breast but they said that was normal too. I was on the contraceptive pill at the time and thought it might be linked with my hormones as I also suffer from excessive body hair and acne on my back sporadically, as well as slightly irregular periods. I stopped taking the about 6 years ago and although I rarely squeeze my breast to see if there's still discharge there, it doesn't seem to be decreasing at all. I feel like my doctor doesn't care and is really unsympathetic when i have been to see him in the past. He makes me feel like I'm wasting his time so I'm reluctant to go back to him, can you give me any advice?

hi there, im 21 with 34e breasts. they have never given me any bother until last few months. I now get yellowish discharge from my breasts if I put pressure on them or if I were to squeeze them yellow and sometime clear discharge appears. (I don't tend to squeeze them, I read it can make it worse. Anyway I now get sore breasts and they feel different all the time. All I can describe it as, is it's like my breast tissue moves and clumps together at certain parts of my breast and feels hard and then other parts feel normal. They feel different every few days. Im not on the pill or anything.

Ive had 4 children with he youngest being 12 years old and I breast fed all of them until they were 6 months old. However, I get a green sticky discharge from my right breast. I have been to my GP a few years ago and he did not seem worried at all about it but surely this is not right.

Second opinion.. go for another doctor opinion..m

Im 47 ive had 3 children my youngest is 22 it first happened about 10 years ago a green sticky fluid out of both breasts then stopped until about 3 years ago it only comes out when squeezed and doesnt happen all the time sometimes weekly sometimes monthly.i didnt breast feed at all. it seems alot of women suffer with it.

i seem to have these lumps inside my breast, but there in both of them. If i push them, not too hard, they hurt a little bit. They've been there for quite some time. i dont have any rashes or discharge from my breasts or any changes in them but im only 16 so im still growing. Being 16, am i too young to get breast cancer? Im too scared to go see my GP, incase ive made a fuss out of nothing, and i lack in confidence. Please help.. Thanks x
