hi, im 18 and had the same brown marks on my 2 front teeth through medication etc from when i was younger. i went to the dentist several times and they suggested having vaneers to cover my teeth. i recently moved to a new dentist who suggested microabrasion where they put some acidic substance on the teeth and scrape it off which removes the discolouration i had this done a few months ago and im now completely happy with my teeth :) x

you have got 2 options, 1st don't worry about them at all, if it's not painful, we all have got at least one weakness, some one is short, some one have got bad teeth, some girls got really small breast, .... 2nd, you pull these 2 tooth out and make 2 new once, ( artificial) however it will costs you.

I have noticed recently dark brown line shaped stains on my teeth and was wondering what it was, no matter how much i brush my teeth it is still there and was worried it was tooth decay or something, when i run my tongue over it, it doesn't feel like anything in particular, so any advice on what it is or how to get rid of it would be much appreciated.

My teeth are in pretty poor shape after my childhood and my reluctance to clean my teeth. I'm living with the consequences now, but thankfully I am brushing my teeth twice a day currently. However, my top 2 teeth have began to rot at the top of the tooth where it meets the gum, and I have had numerous fillings. Is there anything I can do to make the appearance of my teeth better, make the teeth whiter and look more healthy. And also, disguise or fix the rotted area between my top two teeth and my gum.

The most suitable solution is to have 'composite' restorations placed which are white - this must be done by a dentist and is available on the NHS for anterior teeth. Keep on top of your brushing etc., stop smoking and avoid foods that stain teeth including wine/curry etc.

the rot at the top of your teeth is because you are not cleaning your teeth properly. i would advise a trip to the dentist to have the rot removed and filling placed, and thena trip to the hygienist for a very strict oral hygiene regime

Hi I'm stevie and I'm coming 26, for the past 9 years my teeth are yellow and the enamel is off most my teeth, I used to drink a lot of fizzy drinks when I was in my teens. I always have to fillings done because I'm always breaking and chipping my teeth and I also smoke I know that doesn't help my teeth but I have tried to quit a few times in the past. But I have bad anxiety problems that I just can't socialise with people because I don't want people seeing my teeth, I can't remember when the last time I actually smiled. Because of my teeth I get badly depressed and there days that I don't eat beacuse I scared of breaking my teeth. I have no confidence or self esteemm, when I see people in street they have nice perfect teeth. I hate my teeth and I hate myself for what I have done to them. Can anybody help or give me advice?

I'm 34 and some of my teeth have crumbled. I only have 24 teeth left and at least 5 have crumbled. I brush my teeth twice per day. My dentist told me that it's due to smoking. I have friends who smoke more than I do but have perfect teeth. Why are my teeth doing this and how do I stop it?

Im in desperate need of advice! My teeth have dark brown linings close to the gum and nothing Ive used works. Ive been to dentist several times to clean it but far too painfull. They have tried 4 numbing injections on the top and 4 at the bottom of my mouth and I still felt all the pain! Nobody can tell me whats wrong, apparently its down to bad hygiene, I dont believe it at all. My dad has the same issue but his teeth have turned black and yellow through age. Is it a gum condition? Also have seriously bad sour breath which stops me socialising or kissing my husband

I've recently been to my dentist which I really hate.He said that one of my wisdom teeth needs to have a filling as they are weak against bacteria and has decay in it. Now do I get the filling? or just get it removed completely before it causes more problems? My second concern is that at the back of my front teeth there seems to be a brown line going between each tooth, ie brown staining on the left side of the left front tooth, the middle bits between both front teeth and the right side on the right tooth, Is this decay or has my tooth died? Its a very lightish yellow :/ i'm scared of my teeth.

I have a brown line running through the enamel of my teeth My dentist said its just a discolouration but it Would help if I had anterior composite restoration I don't smile because my teeth look dirty. I am Very conscious of it. My mum said she would pay To have it done but we are apprehensive because For five teeth it will cost nearly £300 and we Are not sure it would be a good idea or not

I have the same, it's not discouloration. I had antibiotics when I was 2 which caused my actual teeth to come out brown. Nothing could be done about it, you can't scrape it of. The only thing is having crowns which cost a lot of money.

my partner has really wrotten teeth, black and brown, broken and gaps, he thinks it is because he never looked after his teeth. he found out a few years ago he only has one kidney and i wondered if this could have somthing to do with the bad teeth, would he be able to get help on the nhs as it would cost an awfull lot privatley. i am asking because i am partially deaf and have to get him to look directley at me when talking so i can understand him.

I am absolutely petrified of going to the dentist but i have to go, i have so many broken teeth they all seem to crumble away and my front teeth are all brown from neglect of looking after them and i have really bad breath that even my husband dosen't like kissing me, it is ruining my life i have no friends cus i can't make friends when i look so awful, i have been turned down for jobs as well in the past because my teeth look so nasty. i have an appointment tomorrow for the dentist and she wants to clean my teeth and see what needs doing, i have told her that i want all my teeth out as they are so rotten and look so bad but she waants to treat them but to be honest i'd rather have them all out. She has given me Diazapam to calm my anxiety before my appointment but im so scared of going, its horrible :'(

I would like to apply for the show as i have very bad teeth. My front teeth are very bad, not straight and have some brown rotten bits. i also have a tooth which has broken and the root remains. I have a phobia of the dentist, due to the fact when i was 17 i had a very bad experience with a dentist. I had two teeth removed in order to get a brace fitting and i felt every bit of it. My month hadn't been numbed correctly, due to this ordeal i have been to the dentist once in 10 years. I am desperate now as my teeth are serverely affecting my confidence. I would supply a photo if needed.

Hi I am 22 and since I was very little I have had very bad teeth, when I was just 10 I had thirteen teeth removed due to the fact they had all rotted and turned black, since then they have been very weak, they are discoloured to the point that some are brown and I only have around 20 of my teeth left in my mouth due to extractions and them falling out! I am a aspiring actress who has receieved a first class honours degree in drama however I struggle to find the confidence to go on stage and do auditions due to my teeth! To add to this I am in severe pain every day and every night even though I go to my dentist regularly no matter what they seem to do my teeth just get worse! As I am writing this I am dosed up on paracetamol and ibuprofen and in the past have overdosed on pain killers in order to get some sleep from my teeth causing me that much pain! I really can't afford to do any major work on them and my family struggle with money so no help there! I need some advice because I have kind of given up and I just can't cope with the pain much longer but I just don't know what to do! Please help!!!!!! Clove oil and all the old fashioned remedies have been used and don't work anymore! Please someone help!!!!!!!

i have had teeth discolouration ever since i can remember. everyone looks at me as though i do not brush my teeth, i do twice daily but i still have discoloured teeth. my teeth are a mix of white/yellow, some are speckly and some with patches. i was on prednisilone since the age of 3 - 14, and this could be the cause. i am very self-conscious about my teeth :-( what can i do about my teeth? its not a pretty smile, id like to have nice white teeth and a bright smile...... any suggestions please?
