HI'' you sound like you have blocked Eustachian Tubes..which i have suffered with myself for the last 30 yrs. It causes fluid retention in the ear drum, which makes a popping/ bubbling noise... Due to the retention, it can cause the ear drum' long term damage if care is looked into.(bone growth etc) I myself have had grommets as an adult for over 14 years, this equalizes pressure and the bubbling stops.... also hearing is better. Grommets are a small tube' inserted by a ear specialist allowing air into the ear drum area. Small ones last up to 2 years then fall out, larger ones which i have last 5 years. Unfortunately' they can fall out or be pushed with a cotton bud stick - so be careful! Also''ear plugs must be worn when in water, i find blue-tac the best ' as it is stick an allows me to still surf. hope this helps!

My daughter says her ear keeps bubbling what is this should I be worried

Just before my 65th birthday I got the same as you. I have had tests and the camera and all say I am ok. Doctors offer no solution. The only way I handle it to wash myself say half an hour after going to the toilet. When I am annoyingly loose I take immodium which bungs me up for a couple of days. I don't think there is a cure so I take great comfort in knowing I am not alone, and just stay as clean as I can without getting paranoid. I am now trying deflatine as I get this "bubbling" feeling in my guts...who knows?

I suffer with "I.B.S" and it really has taken over my life, i'm only 24 years old!! I've had problems for sooo long and i'm sick of the doctors fobbing me off with tablets you have to take 3 x a day, its really frustrating. Sometimes (monthly) my bowel does that bubbling thing and I get those really eggy lingering farts that stink to high heaven. Sometimes I am constipated and sometimes the opposite. Life with this is hard. Please more answers XXXXXXXXXXX

Ive been having problems with my stomach for over a year now, I get a bubbling feeling in my stomach and stomach ache, I don't really get diarrheoa but i do sometimes get constipated but i work shifts and think that causes that. Ive had lots of tests and the doc diagnosed IBS but none of the meds worked. I started making a food diary and have realised that the symptoms are there when I eat bread and cereal. So is it IBS or do I have some kind of wheat intolerance?

Hi, I have IBS. I suffer with a dull ache in my stomach, not so much diarrhoea but my stools look like mash potatoe or a chocolate aero bar with holes in it as I suffer from alot of trapped wind. I only go loo the most twice a day and don't seem to have constipation. My main problem is the growling noises coming from the gut which I get nearly every day on and off. sometimes I can hear alot of water bubbling in my stomache. I have had a colonoscopy and abacteria overgrowth test and it came back normal. The growling noises in the intestines are really loud. It don't seem to matter what I eat but I'm wondering if it could affect me the next day. Somedays I don't get it at all. My question is could I have a food intolerance? and what is the best site to get a food intolerance home kit?

In reply to my question, I also suffer from bloating after eating. The next my stomach is very flat

Im 22 and frequently suffered from very bad constipation over the last few years. However over the last 4 weeks it have got so bad I cant go to the toilet unless i take some sort of table which then results in extermely bad diaherria. However I will only be able to go toilet for that day and they terrible cycle of bloating, cramps and extereme discomfort starts again.I will often also get only what i can describe as a bubbling in my stomach after meals. If i do go to the toilet it is quite small now and doesnt resemble what my poos used to look like. I each a healthy diet and have tried to increase fiber, fruit, veg and water and reduce my intake of bread and carbs howeve it has not resulted in any changes. Im nearly finished college and this may be stress related however I feel there is something seriously wrong with my bowl movement. It has never been this bad and Im starting to lose hope that this will go away and ill be able to go toilet naturally after a meal.

Hi, I'm a 47 year old female and I live with terrible pain, bloating and a hard 'lump' feeling just below my sternum. I am severly constipated (only manage to 'go' after taking 4 laxatives which can take up to 2 days to work - which ruins every weekend!) I am semi-hemiplegic down my right side which nerve damage from the chest down due to an epidural abcess 14 years ago from a spider-bite. I'm sure this affects it but I am so fed up with looking 9 months pregnant and being in constant pain. Ofd course one of the worst side-effects is the constant bubbling asnd popping and passing of 'hard' wind which, of course, smells very bad. I work full-time and dare not take time off for a days rest. I have had every test known to man and they all say to take liquid gel etc but this does not work for me. I also used to give myself an enema every day but now even this does not work. HELP please....

Hi Neil I see you have just recently been diagnosed with IBS for just over a year. I've been Suffering now for just over a year myself, started with tummy ache and diarrhea. As the months went on the stomach pain and diarrhea was intermittent. About August/September the pain had moved to more of a dull ache in the stomach feeling of being hungry but you knew you wasn't. I also developed more gas wanting to pass wind and belching. From late November my stomach has felt so unsettled bubbling gurgling noisey sounding like liquid with a dull ache with loose bowel movements, along with belching, feeling sick but have never been sick. My doctors have not really given me anything for my stomach apart from mebeverine and told to take it 20 mins before foods which I haven't felt and use. I've also had an endoscopy done and the finding was a cute gastritis. But they still putting this down to IBS. And advice or suggestions.

hi approximately two months ago I developed a crackling sound during breathing. The sound is not noticeable when I am upright. It is most noticeable when I am laying down on my side, much less noticeable when I am on my back. If I breath in deeply or quickly the sound is not that noticeable. It is only during normal or shallow breathing. At the end of the exhale I can also hear a wheeze or whistling sound. Also the crackling feels as though it is coming from somewhere between my throat and my lungs. There is also a bubbling sensation associated with the sound that feels like it is coming from below my throat somewhere. I saw my doctor and he checked my lungs and they gave me some antibiotics which didnt help made things worse he proscribed some more antibiotics and also a nasal form of allergy medicine. Neither helped. I finished the antibiotics.I scheduled a follow-up appointment. I described the same thing to him as above. He listened to my chest again, it sounded clear again. To allay my concerns he had me do a chest xray which also came up clear.he then gave me more antibiotics. I am still hearing the crackling sound when I breathe as I lay down. It gets loud enough that it can wake me up its that loud i can record it on my phone:(. I feel good otherwise.ex smoker 4 years now ....28 years old normaly fit ...

Ive been suffering from similar symptoms for the last 2 years. Im a 19 year old male, its been off and on for these 2 years sometimes its worse than others i can have bad stomach pains (and alot of stomach noise! at times it feels like my stomach is bubbling) followed by diarrhea a few times a day and this can happen any amount of times in a week. Its never been too bad it normaly only happens for a few weeks then i can go without it for a few months and then it comes back for another few weeks. Although about 5 days ago i had a spicy curry and for the last 5days every morning ive been waking up to these sore stomachs which i can only get rid of by going to the toilet which means diarrhea. For the rest of the day after every meal i get the pains in the stomach again followed by the diarrhea. So i guess ive learned that spicy food doesnt help it any! The times before when ive had this i havent eaten spicy food so its not totally related to that. I left school about 4 months before this first started happening, this has meant i dont do near as much exercise as i use to. Before i was really fit now not so much and my diet has never been brilliant. Ive never been to my GP it doesnt seem they can do much for me as the amount of other storys ive heard with people having unsuccesful treaments and i dont really want to have a endoscopy. Then of course the embarrasment of it im not the most social person as it is. I think some of it is in my head after i eat a meal i expect to have the pains and have to go to the toilet. I guess if i just exercise abit more and watch my diet hopefully things will improve.

42 Years old had this for 10 years. Watch out for how you are sitting.......if you are constricting your hair follicles and your sweat pores by sitting in a chair alot (squeezing your thighs/legs close together) this can imho cause outbreaks........any restriction on your skin in that area will bring it on. Lets face it its the most sweaty part of the body.........if two sets of skin are held together for long periods of time the pores/glands/hair follicles cannot expell sweat/apocrine scent or grow new hairs..........therefore you are almost creating a blockage and there is only one way for the sweat/Apocrine scent/new hair to go...BACK IN = sweat backing up/building up or ingrown hair. Im convinced this is how the sinus tracts develope as the skin tries to connect to a different gland/pore in the hope that it can release the sweat. Dont cross your legs....aviod sitting in chairs unless you can sit with your legs as wide as possible.....the wider the better. I also use peroxide 3% and 6% ....I put some on cotton wool and hold it on the ALIEN (as I call them) You can hear some bubbling as the peroxide reacts with the broken tissue and turns it white....then i put on a clean dressing .....I repeat the process a couple of times and it has a dramatic effect ....almost always clears the little nasties up in days. I checked this was ok to do with the GP and he said fine. DRINK LOADS OF WATER AND DONT OVER CLEAN THE AREAS WITH TOO MUCH ANTI BAC (although its ok to do it in moderation) You dont want to kill off too much of the 'good guy' bacteria. "The Cure Is Out There" Take care

I have had chronic flatulence for about 15 years along with lots of stomach problems such as bloating, grumbling noises, "bubbling" gas after eating, etc etc. I suffer from constipation so much it's not a joke, despite trying to eat what I thought was healthily, and around my period it always gets so much worse, and it's hard to hide sometimes. I feel like people notice and talk about me behind my back, and it's made me very depressed, inhibited and reclusive as a person. My GP told me I had IBS but nothing he gave me worked. I also had an endoscopy and barium meal etc and nothing showed up as a cause. However, I recently read online about something called Candida. It isn't just about thrush and I wish I found out about it years ago. It's hard to explain as there seems to be a lot to it, but basically it's a yeast that lives naturally in the stomach, but due to a lot of factors (antibiotics, the pill etc) it can turn into a fungus and start to overgrow in the gut. This releases a massive amount of toxins in the blood stream which causes a whole host of seemingly unrelated problems in the body, such as allergies, sinus problems, migraines, leaky gut syndrome and general impaired immune functions. The yeast overgrowth also depletes your stock of good bacteria and digestive enzymes in the gut as it takes over your system completely, like a parasite. The only way to get rid of the candida yeast is to cut out sugar completely from your diet (including starchy food and fruits) and take lots of digestive enzymes, probiotics and other herbs to help replenish the good bacteria and heal up the gut. I am doing this diet at the moment and it's really hard, but I think it has made a difference. Digestive enzymes and probiotics really help too and can cut down on the embarrassing noises the gut can make. I still have the problem but doing the diet is something I think I'm going to have to stick with for a long time, in order to make sure the situation stays under control though I don't think I have successfully eliminated the candida yet. Sugar is the hardest thing to avoid as it's in nearly everything. Even a simple ready-made three-bean salad with tuna from M&S lists sugar in the ingredients! Why??! It also really annoys me that doctors/ conventional medicine don't seem to take the candida issue seriously. When I went to my GP about this he just assumed I was talking about thrush! He didn't get the gut aspect for some reason. Also, if a GP prescribes antibiotics why don't they tell their patients to take some probiotics with it, as part of the routine? It's a simple enough thing to do as antibiotics are one of the main causes of candida overgrowth in the system. I expect this problem is a lot more widespread in the population than is known. My stomach problems have caused me to lose friends and even a job, but I wish there was more research done on Candida yeast overgrowth by conventional doctors, along with treatments developed. Even the entry in this website about Candida only concentrates on thrush!
