My vaginal entrance feels sore with any form of penetration, not even able to use tampons.. It gets worse if I have sex and the burning often worsens after urination (it feels less painful if I drink a lot of water and stay away from alcohol or other drinks), also the burning after urination lasts for about 20-30 minutes. I have had UTIs and taken antibiotics and now I test negative for any bacteria that causes UTIs, I have also taken treatment for thrush however I am sure it is not thrush due to the lack of itching. these symptoms have occurred for months now and also appear to worsen during my period, I am also only 18.

For the past couple of years I have been experiencing pain on urination during my period and for up to a week afterwards. I have taken urine samples to my gp but they come back normal. Other symptoms include more frequent than normal urination and a burning pain but also a pain sort of in the area of my bladder. I am 34 years old with no children.

I am 61 yrs old and have all the classic enlarged prostate symptoms (slow urination, nocturia, burning sensation, etc). About 18 months ago I had some bleeding after urinating and my GP referred me to a urologist who used a camera to check my prostate and bladder and found no problems other than a "slight narrowing of the opening from the bladder". Several tests where also done to check my kidney function. Whilst the news that there was nothing sinister going on was extremely good to hear, unfortunately the discomfort continued and the burning sensation seems to be getting worse. Could this be chronic prostatitis, and if so why was it not apparent during the examination with the camera? I have many other ongoing symptoms which have not been explained, such as pains in both knees, digestive problems, occasional chest pains, fatigue, Reynauds and occasional bouts of diahorrea. A rheumatologist I saw about 8 years ago for my knees wondered if I could have the beginnings of Lupus. Could this also be the cause of my problems with urination? Does SLE attack the prostate? How can I best get relief from this combination of problems. I feel unwell and very tired most days and I am getting rather depressed with it all as it has been like this for a number of years. All my GP suggests is NSAIDS.

Usually yellowish discharge is a sign/symptom of Vaginosis or.an STD. Foul smells?? Burning sensation during urination or sex??

You should see a gynecologist. They can treat the internal ones and the external ones, too. The treatment will be somewhat painful with burning after urination due to contact with the open wounds.Sex should be avoided now and after treatnent, also. Your doctor will advise you.

I was diagnosed with cystitis last week and took the sachets for three days but I'm still experiencing symptoms. I'm constantly going to the loo, and still have the burning sensation after urination. What can I do to relieve these symptoms??

You could have a narrowing somwhere along your pee tube (cant remember what its called). But i went to my doctors for AGES!!! they tested me for sti's, liver diease everything you could amagin so i left it and the pain and the blood wer still there soooo i went back and demanded somthing was done about it instead of testing me for the same things over and over again....they sent me for a cystoscapy(?) which i basically...they shove a telescope/camera up your pee hole and check for strictures/narrowings. I had one and the choped it open and heypresto!!!!!! Problem sorted!!!! =D

If there are additional symptoms like itching, burning during urination, a bad smell, or the color is yellow, green, grey, or looks like cottage cheese, you should definitely see a doctor. Otherwise, it might just be the way you are, but a trip to the doctor may still be a good idea. You may take comfort in knowing that guys really like seeing that wetness during sex, so there's no reason to feel awkward or embarrassed about it.

If you havent been using condoms, you might want to see your GP to test for chlamydia and various STIs. However, it might be something as common as cystitis (inflammation of the bladder causing burning during urination) or thrush (overgrowth of bacteria candida albicans) which are very common and uncomfortable (!) but not necessarily caught through sexual activity. Pain during sex may also be due to insufficient lubrication or stress.

Pain or burning on urination is a classic symptom of cystitis. I have had these symptoms the last week or so, and it is worrying as I am male, have Diabetes Mellitus Type 2, along with itching, nausea, bladder and back pains, and a constant urge to go to the toilet. I am seeing my doctor today to get it checked out, but for those also with these symptoms, you have my every sympathy-because it can be agony!

Semen allergy must be much more common than doctors think, simply because us women are too embarassed to report it. I'm positive I'm allergic to semen. As soon as my partner ejaculates inside me, I get the worst burning pain that last for hours, and urination makes it worse. When we use condoms, or when he ejaculates outside of me, there are no problems. What else could it possibly be?

Hi Melanie, Sounds like you may have cystitis which is a bladder infection. If you see your doctor they will be able to give you an antibiotic, if it comes back again you can try and control it by drinking lots of water, cranberry juice & if you are sexually active, urinating straight after intercourse to avoid infection. But check with your doctor. Hope this was helpful!

hello I have recently got through what I think you are suffering from. At first I thought I had become allergic to my own cervical mucus I was also very itchy and burny on the outside with swelling also. The Dr treated me for thrush, then BV both diagnosis were wrong. I ended up diagnosing myself. I had CV -- Cytolytic vaginosis is a condition and not an infection, caused by the excessive growth of the useful lactobacillus bacteria around the vulva and vaginal area, caused because I had started taking probiotics (actimel drinks etc) so it caused a good bacteria overload in my vagina. As soon as I stopped probiotics it went away hope this helps you

I have the almost the same problem I have constant burning sensations and sometimes numbness in the vaginal area ..I seen 4 different Dr's who said first was a bladder infection then a yeast infection I\ve been on many meds and nothing cured it ..and I can't get a sex drive because of the awkward feeling and I always feel like I have to empty my bladder even when I just did then the burning gets worse..grrr someone help me

My husband has been having a difficult time ejaculating, a hard time keeping an erection, difficulty keeping a steady urine flow. He has to struggle pushing to urinate and the flow will stop and go, with the same struggle each time to restart the flow of urine. He has a few of the the symptoms as far as frequent night urination. I've heard a lot about the problems a prostate can cause with urination. ..but does it also cause the issues I've mentioned sexually

My pee is normal colour.. light pale… apart from some of the mornings, 1st urine in the morning is bit dark coloured. AT work I go to loo very frequently, every hour, the amount of urination is normal, I don’t find any difficulty in urination. But I feel as if my blabbed gets filled quite quickly, I don’t feel any pain, but its just frustrating some times going for pee every now and then, during the day. I can sleep without going to toilet for 8 hrs at night but then 1st thing I do in the morning isgot to toilet as my bladder is so full. Is this normal! Can you please comment.

Debbie i think if you prolapse is classed as servere it is different, uterine prolapses from what i have read seem to be more problamatic than cystocele, do you remember how yours was graded??? Mine has been deemed as moderate cystocele. I think i will try get a second opinion from a women consultant, maybe more sympathetic, as over time prolapses tend to over increase in size! Can i ask how if the results from your surgery have been worthwhile going through with it? Thanks for the comment Mandy, i dont see why you cant use the cones, as they are are used to strengthen the muscles i think. My physio seemed to think this weekend that i may have an over active bladder, as she thought my frequent urination very bad for just prolapse. Does anyone else really suffer with frequent urination from their cystoceles???

My gynae polyps and painful periods hid another condition of Interstitial Cystitis. After laparoscopy and hysteroscopy I was told the constant excrutiating pain was in my head and to try relaxation etc and to stop 'obsessing'about my pain! After 3 years when the pain eventually manifested as burning on urination I got a bladder op which found the Insterstitial Cystitis. The suffering I have been through I dont want others to expeience the same. This cystitis is not treatable with antibiotics and shows negative for infection. While I was not treated properly it left me suicidal as it was relentless. The clue came when I couldn't pass urine.

Hi John, Go to your G.P. I'm not sure if the burning is another issue based on what you wrote. Burning from the tightness or for example burning from peeing. You also might want to try slow masturbation sessions using a long, slow stroke along with the cream might help stretch the skin some but don't over do it.

Hi, a day after having unprotected sex i noticed a tingly/stinging sensation focused around the tip/head of my penis. After pulling my foreskin back and inspecting my penis i noticed some very small red dots on one side of my penis. I do not experience any burning while i pass urine. As a matter of fact, urination may help alleviate the discomfort. Additionally my penis is a little red in a small patch close to the opening of it. The tip of my foreskin appears to be slightly irritated as well. It has been three days since intercourse. The tingly sensation has not subsided/maybe worse. Thank you for your help.

is it the semen that is burning you? and now you have stopped him coming inside you you don't suffer with the burning sensation? because i get a really severe burning sensation too when this happens.

I have suffered from this vaginal burning for at least 14 yrs. I bumped into a web site only this past week which suggested I up my intake of echinacea 500 mg 4x a day, oil of oregano 500 mg 2x a day, and now I have incorporated incorporated vitamin C 1000mg 3x a day. The burning have subsided tremendously. I feel like finally I'm on the right track to being healed of this horrible burning!

I am 24 and have been having painful urination for about 7 years now. When this all began I saw my GP who did tests. This sharp, stabbing like pain when passing urine would happen monthly and each time a MSU was completed with mixed results. After about 3 years of suffering I was sent to a urologist, nil found so a preventative course of antibiotics was started. I took a small dose of antibiotics every day for 2 years. I didn't want to stay on antibiotics for the rest of my life. So when I changed cities and spoke with a new GP, I was encouraged to stop my antibiotics. Since then I haven't had as many periods of painful urination however more recently it has started up again. I use the cystitis sachets, warm baths and hot water bottles to relief symptoms along with pain relief. However I have found I experience painful urination within a day or so following intercourse, and intercourse itself can be extremely painful. I am yet to go speak with my GP. I have been with my partner for the past 7.5 years and have been finding the thought of intercourse frightening due to the the thought of suffering afterwards. I have read around and ensure I go to the toilet Pre-intercourse, washing, urinating afterward, etc. but nothing seems to work. I need help as I am worried our relationship may suffer due to the symptoms I experience now following intercourse. Does anyone have any advice??

Try Waterfall D Manose - also called Sweetcure. Just Google it to find the website - it is refined in Yorkshire. Sweetcure is a white pure powder - a natural sugar that picks up the bacteria in the bladder and soothes the burning too. I had cystitis constantly but it stopped within 3 days of taking a teaspoon of Sweetcure daily in warm water. I still take a teaspoon at bedtime to keep cystitis at bay. Like you I had been prescribed antibiotics - but they gave me thrush so i was in constant discomfort. Sweetcure saved me - I wish doctors would prescribe it.
