hi i have this too and its so embarrasing its getting warm and i wear polo neck tops, i was giving steroid cream which helped the scars abit but hasnt stopped the spots

I am an 18 year old girl. I had the nuss procedure on my chest 2 years ago. My chest is quite unusual because on set of ribs did not grow enough causing my sternum to twist up to 90 degrees. Due to crowding of my heart and lungs along with shortness of breath and chest pains, they actually used 2 bars rather than one to fix it. I can breath now and have no more pains, but one side of my chest is still noticeably more sunken in than the other. I'm wondering if there is any non surgical possibilities.

I have a similar case with both Pectuus Carinatum and Excavatum causing my sternum to twist as well so one side of my ribcage is raised while the other is sunken. I had one nuss bar around the age of 15/16 but it worsened it. I am not sure there are any non surgical ways around it. Now 21 I have chosen to have another surgery, similar to the Ratvich where cartilage and bone is removed and the sternum is twisted. As well as this I will be seeing a plastic surgeon after my surgery.

i have had severe chest pain now for several months, I have been on the heart monitor that was clear, i had chest xray of my chest wich showed two grey patches on my left lung, my doctor sent me for pysio on my chest wich made this pain worse i went back to him and he told me there was nothing more he could do and to basically go away and live with it i have had no pain relief from them what so ever is this normal?

I have recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I was admitted to hospital following an overdose and slicing my wrist. I remember little from the experience other than feeling judged by nurses and clinical support staff. I put it down to the fact that it has such a stigma and people, regardless of whether nurses or medically trainined, hold a stigma against it and are fearful of us.

Hi, sadly it is, and sadly we are generally known as time wasters because of our condition. Lucky for the nurses etc they dont have to live with it...we look normal and we generally act normal within society so unlike other mental illnesses we are more invisible on the scale. Don't worry too much, just remind yourself they they see 100's of patients and you wont be the first with scars xx

I am 22 and I have asymmetrical pectus excavatum which means that the dip in my chest is worse on the right side of my chest. I had the 'nuss procedure' when i was 18 which improved my chest slightly although not enough to say that i was satisfied. The procedure involves inserting a titanium bar into the chest and cranking it round to 'pop' the chest into place. The bar remains in the chest for about a year. Unfortunately mine harboured an infection and had to be removed with all results reversed. Following this i had Bio Alcamid inserted much like the fluid used in the video clip. The results were far better and although my chest isn't perfect it is far less noticeable. Contact your GP to be referred to a specialist. The younger you are the more likely you are to get results as the musculascelital parts of your body are more responsive to manipulation.

Stop drinking drinks ,beer even natural juice and just run 45min a day .....I myself had huge boobs on both upper and lower part of chest but my doctor advised me to eat vegetable and forget the sweets ..so I stopped eating lunch only ate breakfast and dinner which really made my chest fat lesser but when my lower chest fat was left I started a to play football as I'm good at it 2hrs each day plus my extreme diet made me loss by boobs especially by drinking green tea (jasmine,or any. Else) so I say it is not impossible to get rid of man breast as i had breast about 8cm in diameter I thought it can only be removed by surgery and I was very scared and most of the boys at school made fun of me last 2 years ago but know i have more muscular chest which Is straight just in 1yr 2mth...I hope u follow this advice .......by the way of you are going to gym start doing bench press up and push ups 30min a day will help your moobs to reduce.....all the best

Im male . I had an operation which broke my breast bone and broke my ribs so they could be set which when you wake up from it is the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I also had a metal pin put in under my ribs to hold them up while they healed. After I was healed which took about 6 weeks I got a very bad pain in my chest one night and felt like I couldn't breath which went away the next day. This turned out to be an infection from the pin being moved as your chest is always moving etc. This caused fluid on my lungs and heart and I had to have he fluid on my heart drained and I had the pin removed which didn't hurt. My chest did improve but still goes in but my posture is much better and my spine is straight. I do have a scar from the top to bottom of my chest about 8 inches long. It was more of a psychological problem which greatly improved after the operation. I would not recommend this operation as it is the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I have read the list of all the different operations and I think the ones that take longer to straighten the chest sound better in the long run- ones that are kind of like a brace or a bar that is slowly turned over a year. These operations are also much less painful and have less scaring. I hope the bar removal goes ok. Let me know if you would like to know anything else. Thanks

I have recently been on a course of antibiotics for a chest infection, now I have vaginal discharge and discomfort. Any suggestions what it might be. X

Yeast infection maybe?? Try Monistat 7-5 or 1 and see if that helps. I've heard antibiotics cause them though. Good luck.

im 34, ive had a very bad rash on my chest and back for nearly two years, 1st the doc thought it was achne, then the creams and tabs he gave me, irritated it, then the skin specialist told me it was a yeast infection. that was a year ago ive been back the doctors several times and they still dont know what it is. its extremely itchy,it comes up as boils first, then it comes like a bubbly rash and some of them do build up rubbish in them. its very embarrassing and my self esterm is zero. everybody looks down at my chest and goes, whats that, its horrible, which doesnt help. im also left with loads of scarring.sometimes it does go onto my neck and face too.

I study biomedical science, which looks at disease and infection etc, but i have never heard of the hair preventing infection! the vagina does have ways of preventing infection but i do not believe that this is one of them. the vagina is alkaline and this helps prevent bacterial infection as does the discharge. if you want to be fully shaven then go for it, as it shouldnt lead it increased chance of infection. but if you are worried then speak to your GP!

hey there, i was late developing and i didn't get my 1st period until i was 16 and didn't really have much going on in the chest department either. i am now 20 and i have a rather large chest in less than 4 years.... enjoy having smaller chest, seriously... you have to carry them around all your life so make the most of not having them. i have serious stretch marks and pain in my back and neck and its very uncomfortable. i know what its like to be 15 and want a chest but just enjoy being a teenager and it will come when your ready :)
