my daughter (3) has developed curvy almost clubbed toenails that are very difficult to trim because its like even the white part that needs trimmed is stuck to the skin and wont come away enough to be trimmed. there is no discoloration or ingrown nails at all. she was born with perfectly normal nails and over time they have gotten more clubbed and difficult to trim. her little sister (1) is beginning to develop the same thing.

HI im 26. and i keep on having issues with my hands/fingers.Iv had it on and off for 5yrs now. It pops up mostly during the autumn-winter months but iv had it in april. My fingers tend to swell very slowly and they are sometimes itch/sting. they swell so bad i cant bend my fingers and do simple things like brushing my hair without it hurting..keeping them warm makes them worse but letting them get too cold makes the tips of my fingers go blue. Iv had ultrasounds and xrays and blood test and its nothing related to arthritus or reynolds! could cutting out certain foods help??

I suggest you get them removed as soon as possible as I have had warts for half my life and have made me miserable and caused holdbacks in careers I wished to follow

I have been informed of my having Dupuytren`s Contracture by my GP (2012), in both hands this giving me three years in which I`d lose use of both hands. Two others in the family (both Females)also have this condition. My question yet unanswered by anybody is: Why are my hands/fingers being effected in the exact opposite to that of Dupuytren`s? I am unable to bend my fingers so Why is this so, and is it possible that my hands are being effected by two conditions at the same time the second being Carpel Tunnel Syndrome? If so, what treatments are available and what are the prospects of regaining full use of my fingers?

Hi im 23 and Ive always had heavy, painful periods, but thought nothing of it. Since early last year i started to have painful sex every time I had intercourse and in January 2013 I had a diagnostic laporoscopy where they found endometriosis, this was removed, and they also said one tube was clubbed. I had already been trying to get pregnant since sept 2012. I'm still trying but no luck so far. Since the laporoscopy my periods have been so painful and in the past few weeks I've started to have lower abdominal cramps every few days as well as lower back pain when I'm on. I don't know if I'm just being paranoid but do you think it's come back? I'm so scared about it coming back because all I want is to get pregnant now. (I also had Abnormal cervical cells,CIN3, last year and had treatment to remove them) my biggest fear is not being able to conceive. Should I go back to my doctor or leave it and just keep trying?

I having been biting my nails for all my life and now my fingers look awful, really ugly. The nail area are about the same size as my Sons (3 in December)! Have tried everything on the market and I just don't know what to do to break the cycle of biting. Have some lovely rings but I don't wear them as I am afraid of people looking at my hands (tend to walk with my fingers curled). Can anyone suggest any treatment?

Hi, I'm 13 and I have had excema all my life, it really gets on my nerves and it comes up even more when I shave my legs. It also doesnt help that I have allergic reactions and that makes me itch and my excema bleeds. I get it alot on my fingers and it is really embarrassing and everyone thinks I have old lady's fingers. When I was little I used to have it all over my forehead and everyone used to make fun of me. It cleared up for few months but it has come back and its horrible. The creams that my GP gave me don't help. Please give me some advice on how I can either get rid of it or just help it stop itching. Emma :)

Hiya i'm 14 and have excema too that always flares up. I usually use sudacreme because although it doesnt actually clear it up it really helps take the itch away. Also, you can get a type of cream from the GP called fucidin H which helped clear it up when it was really bad. Fresh air helps me too so i try to sit outside whenever i can. Hope this helps :D

please can you help me, 15 weeks ago I gave birth to daughter #3, and 3 days after she was born my hands and fingers started to itch like crazy and tiny little blisters appeared, these blisters burst and the fingers have very deep splits and are bleeding, the skin is rough and sore and now the pads on my fingers have become rough and is now splitting, and becoming like deep cuts. they almost heal up when they start itching again, I have tried everything even going to the doctors and having creams and steroid creams/ ointments even tape, I can't wash my hands in anything including plain water as it burns. it is now starting to spread up my arms and I have patches on my legs. I have suffered with eczema on my face for the last 24 years, could this be part of it. Having my 3rd child was a bit of a shock. the birth was only 6 mins and she came 9 days early. I hope you can help me as I am really depressed, I can't even open a bottle lid without my pads on my fingers splitting open. I can't use soaps or any creams, remedies as they all burn and make my skin even more sore dried and cracked, and cause the tiny blisters to come back ten times worse.

Cyclical bleeding is considered indicative of endometriosis, in fact could mean you have intestinal disease. Hopefully your surgeon will have the necessary experience and skill to diagnose and treat you - at the very least, I would expect him/her to explain the cyclical rectal bleeding - if this doesn't come up at the follow-up, then make sure to mention it yourself and ask about it. It can be that your tube is involved in adhesions. Endometriosis rarely affects the tubes directly but adhesions resulting from endometriosis can affect the tubes (e.g. when endometriosis affects the ovaries).

hi, I have been experiencing lots of watery/white discharge recently, when I cough or push as though to pee a lump covers my vaginal opening, It feels slightly sore when I insert my fingers and when I cough with my fingers inserted I can feel the lump pushing against my fingers to push them out, what could this be? The lump is right at the front of my vagina

    thats cum

Very normal. The inside of your vagina has natural lubricant, and is wet anyway. When you are sexually stimulated, your body produces a lot of extra lubricant. Think about it - your body "knows" you are excited and is preparing for a penis to be inserted. You will surely notice your boyfriend has a similar thing happen - he will drip lubricant. Don't worry.

I second the recommendation for bannana skin. It may sound like an old wives tale, but in my teens I had a persistent verruca that would not go away. My mother had heard of this working for some people and after a week or so of taping a piece of bannana skin to the verruca it just fell out. Ive never suffered since and Im 32 now. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

Okay so... me and my boyfriend are kinda sexually active. Every time he fingers me, it's this white stretchy goo that covers his fingers, and idk wether to embrace it or be embarrassed.

That's the time your most fertile... Egg white thick stretchy consistency, it helps keep sperm longer and helps them swim... You may want to use a condom for those few days every month.

Hi im not sure if I have OCD because my problems don't seem to be mentioned. There are two things that I have to do all the time. Firstly I don't like words that have an odd number of letters. I still use these words but I have to then spell them out using my fingers and use an exclamation mark to put it right with two fingers using one as the lead finger to spell the first half of the word then the second finger to spell the second half of the word then vice versa. For example the word "court" i use one finger to spell out "cou" and the second to write out "rt!" I feel like I have to involve all my fingers in everything otherwise i'm being unfair to myself even typing something into a computer keyboard if I use one finger too much I feel sick and have to use other fingers including my little fingers. If I stay occupied im fine but watching television adverts is a nightmare! Then I have another problem I have to say out certain letters after I've read a word for example if I use the word "cook" I have to say the letter "c" but I try to do this under my breath and it sounds like I'm humming to myself so people notice. I feel like I have to do it and I have no other choice. As much as I know nothing will happen its not the point. Its become embarrassing and difficult to cope with anymore.

I have had verrucas on my right heel for over 15 years. Unfortunately I managed to infect 2 of my fingers on my left hand in my efforts to treat the ones on my foot! These are getting larger by the day and are now growing under my fingernails. I have had a referral to a dermatologist who confirmed that they are definitely verrucas on my fingers-she seemed very surprised! The treatment she prescribed didn't work nor did homeopathy, salicylic acid, tincture of thuja, laser treatment, freezing etc. I also have had a blood test to see if my immune system was deficient-that came back normal too. I am getting rather desperate now and fear that I will end up losing the ends of my fingers. Help!
