Hi I.m 30 and have had a breast enlargement. Everything went well it was done 5 months ago. Over the last month or so my nipples have become really dry and flaky they feel all cracked, I still have no sensation since my op I know this can be normal. There is no pain really just a slight ache very rarely. Is this normal for them to be so cracked and dry?

Since I have started the menopause 2 years ago (I now no longer have periods, just hot flushes) I have found sex with my partner extremely painful. It doesn't hurt inside, it just stings outside around the entrance to my vagina almost as if the skin is going to tear and feels a bit like when you have cracked lips - it's it's fine until you stretch the area and then it splits slightly and starts to bleed. It's not dry like cracked lips though. i've tried lubrication but it doesn't help. My partner is being very understanding but I am getting very frustrated and upset.

I too have had this problem and much stinging after sex. I found that using a lubricant made it less uncomfortable, there's one you can get that lasts a few days from one application which is better than having to interrupt proceedings. But I think it would be best to see your GP about bleeding, just to reassure yourself that the problem is delicate skin. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have been suffering with what my Doctor diagnosed as dermatitis on the palms of my hands. She has prescribed numerous creams, most of which are steriod based. I have been using these creams for over a year now but nothing is working and the condition is worsening. I always protect my hands with gloves when working. I will upload some pics if someone could tell me how me how to do it. The pain is getting really bad now, my skin is getting large cracks and the condition is spreading to my wrists. Please help me as I am very concerned about the fragile skin on my wrists suffering in the same way as my palms. Thank you Sharon.

mine is the same its driving me mad it gets worse when im hot

I have been suffering from the same thing for over 4 months now and I have tried everything from herbal to steroids tablet form and creams. I had got to the point where it was hard to carry on day to day things in life. Now I found tht it was just on my hands it started to spread to my wrist. You should look into the gloves u wear as this can make it worse even though it may not be the cause to the problem. As the heat and sweating makes it worse. I have been on treatment now called Toctino and this has a very high success rate and I'm half way through and it seems to be working already. If its that bad you need to mention u suggle with day to day things and u may b put on this! I hope this helps?

I have got warts some big and some very small and they appear to be many in my palms and under the feet. The problem started back in 1998, and I hoped they will disappear on their own but unfortunately they even multiplied over the years. I have seen my doctor and been referred to a dermatologist, but nothing really helped. I was prescribed tablets, creams but they did not help. I was referred to wart specialist but little was done to try to help me as he only scrub them off, but in few days they grow back again. My hands and feet got lumps due to the warts, at times I have to cut them off using a razor blade, and I can only cut the big ones leaving the small one that I have to scrub every week. My skin has become very hard and rough. I recently found out that my 13 year old daughter she's developing the same problem. She has got them in her hand palms as well as under her feet, even though they are small but they appear to be many. Please could you kindly help.

Hi To All You Who Are Suffering with PPP. I sympathise so much with you all, as I started with it when I was about 18 or 19, it got worse & worse, after a particulary traumatic time it was so bad that my palms were so cracked you couldn't see my hand lines & each time I tried to type they would split open & bleed. My feet were just as bad & painful & ended up being coated in tar & thick bandages. I'd tried practically every prescribed cream going & had PUVA treatment for 18 months. I don't know what eventually stopped it, other than I used AUSTRALIAN TEE TREE OIL Cream which seemed to make a huge difference & plenty of E45 cream. I'm 45 now and I would say I've probably been fairly clear of it now for about 10 years, although it does appear sometimes, though very lightly & without causing any real problems. When it does I always reach for the Tee Tree Oil, and I've NEVER had it anywhere else on my body (apparently it is of the Palms & Soles). So I hope it clears up eventually for you all, just keep well moisturised. I did subscribe to the PSORIASIS ASSOCIATION which does produce quarterly magazines, with new info etc. Anyway good luck to you all.

Hi. I'm 17 and from Singapore. I've had sweaty palms ever since I was a kid, and I think that mine's probably in the genes because my dad had sweaty palms too. Also, my hands tend to be really warm to the touch, like my mom. My elder brother who's 19 also faces the same problem. We also have sweaty feet. Sometimes, me sweaty feet and palms can bring me so much embarrassment. For example, when I shake hands with people, they would ask if I have sweaty palms. And when my feet starts to sweat, it would sometimes be so serious that I leave "footsteps" on the ground. It also causes my shoes to smell even though I always wear socks. I really hope that I can live without being worried about things falling off from my hands and not leaving behind "footsteps" when I walk barefooted.

hi shug i had the same as you and also had the light treatment i found the only thing to ever work on me was a ointment called diprosalic iontment it is a steroid based oitment but it realy is the best you will me better in no time i have had everything you could possiably think of but it was the only thing ever to work it also is good for elbows and other hard wearing places

when i was 16 i suffered from sweaty palms and armpits.I was told to use driclor by my GP which made my palms and armpit sting.I used the driclor until i was 17 then stopped using it. I put up with the constant sweating until i went on holiday with my friends and i dropped glasses on the ground because my palms where so wet. I spoke to my GP and told him that i was so unhappy with the way i was. He then told me about an operation to stop the sweating. I had this when i was 18. i am now 28 and have no problems only the downside is when i have certain foods that contain vinegar i sweat a little this is normal as the sweat has to come out of somwhere which is through my forehead. it's the best thing i had done.

These were the symptoms i had previously and now i have severe ecxema so i suggest you treat it as soon as possible. Go to the doctors and explain and ask for an ointment, i use epederm which i put on my hands and sometimes feet on a night and wear cotton gloves and socks to keep it on. also keep them mosturised throughout the day and do not pop the blisters as it makes them worse (i know its not very nice having to leave them as they are uncomfortable). Also if it gets worse, start to take photos to show how it has changed to prove it needs seeing to and that it is not getting better. hope this helps as im still trying to find cures for myself too. Read the comments above about apple cider vinegar also as this could help!

Im 15 and for as long as i can remember ive had cracked skin on both nipples, the skin gets irritated and flaky when i wear a bra, and ive and i have no idea why, its gotten to the point where the tips of the nipples have cracked open and once in a while produce yellow stuff, please help

I have excema too and I found this amazing product on the market at the moment called Moogloo, its a range and they have a scalp cream which you put on before you wash ur hair and it really soothes ur scalp and lifts any dry dead skin. def try it worked for me.

I use Eumoceam to prevent it as it keeps my skin soft and benovate when I have flare ups which is prescription I also take a piriton when I feel all itchy and that seems to solve it !

Hi. I have cracked nipples since I was in my teens. It wasn't because they're dry, they just cracked and quite big in size. Now I'm 36 weeks pregnant. As my breasts are getting bigger during my pregnancy, my nipples also increased in size. I'm worry that the nipples are too big for me to breastfeed my baby. It's about 2.5cm in diameter. Any suggestion what should I use to heal the crack as they can be quite sensitive at times.

First, look in your local baby dept for special nipple cream to help the dryness/cracking. Second, I have very large nipples, and breast fed two babies just fine, although I feared that they may choke at first! To make yourself feel better about the size and breast feeding, browse the pacifier isle and see how big the paci nipples are. You'll be just fine. :)
