I have currently under investigation for nerve damage for sciatica. And most days am in severe pain, I have to take a number of medications.. zapain, oramorph, pregabalin and at most painful days, diazepam. I am on the depo provara inj, but never have any cravings, mood swings I hate being on all these drugs, but wondered, I am craving sugar like no end, and am drinking fluids like there's no tomorrow. I'm bruising very easily, my hair seems to be falling out, a lot more noticeable than before, always tired and have lost nearly three stone in weight since June 15, I think this is simply because I cannot/scared to eat much because of severe constipation, I bleed and tear every time so stick with protein drinks, thinking this might help. My urine smells absolutely disgusting, very strong odour every time I go to the loo. I'm very concerned and scared of going to the loo, I use dulcolax, most days. Is this (especially with the sugar cravings) down to diabetics? I have no appetite or energy to speak of. Please could you advise? Getting abit to my wits end. Not sure if this is of the same but my mother passed away from pancreatic cancer last October, Many thanks x I'm 36 yrs old x

Hi, I really don't know where else is best to ask this but I'm going to go ahead anyway. I have been on two different types of progesterone only pills in the past and the last lot I was on I stopped taking about 7 weeks ago, I also happened to be on my period when I stopped taking them. about a week and a half after I stopped taking them I had unprotected sex, it has been exactly 5 weeks since unprotected sex and about 6 and a half since I last had a period. I have been having symptoms such as the need to wee more and cravings for food, along with a noticble change in my breasts. They have increased in size and my once comfertable bra's are too tight, my nipples are constantly erect now which they never used to be unless I was cold and they are they are extrememly sore and tender. I just want to know what the chances are of me being pregnant? I wasn't going to take a test because I was just waiting for my period and I haven't had time. Before I do I just want to know the chances so I can prepare. Thanks, please can someone help.

i am 17 years old and i have had mu ups and downs with this horrible thing. i am a male also. and i just want to say that men who get this are not all gay. i beat this before but its come back hard. however its going ok these past few days. i am on the attkins diet and i know it sounds crazy but this stops you having them cravings for food guys. just eating protein can keep you full and kills some of the cravings we get for food. please try it out.

who on earth said that bulimic men are gay? thats the stupidest thing i've heard in a long time.

Hi Victoria I am sure that your cravings are just due to the normal hormonal changes taking place in your body as a teenager. You cannot become pregnant from masturbating. All the best :-)

Is it normal after a couple of months after sex putting on weight, getting stomach aches and having cravings? But I have morning sickness?

Hey, im 14, nearly 15 and i had a very very heavy period for 2 days last october and nothing since. im also curvy and if you have out on wieght then this might cause your period to stop. i would say that it may have been either a very small period or an infection. ask your GP for advice if your worried and they can do tests. it may come back again if you are irregular, dont worry about it!

generally in order to stop you need to first work out what in your life is causing you to feel the need to self harm in the first place. there is a school of thought that says that its a similar process to stopping smoking i.e you just DONT do it and gradually the cravings become less. i think talking to an adult is a good first step. it becomes much easier to stop once you're not alone.

I wonder if i have this. I am 43 and my symptoms appear before and last until my awful heavy period arrives along side horrible diarrhea. I get tired ,irritable, teary, headaches and the food cravings are unbelievable. I have been to the doctors a couple of times but was sent away with no help other than being told to loose weight, which i have done but the symptoms seem to have worsened. My life is so badly affected that i feel i cant cope with much more.

Just letting you all know, I have tried diet after diet and nothing has seemed to work. I now have started the Dukan Diet. Yes, the first few days are hard, but I have no cravings now. It's a bit of a farse with meals but it's the first diet that has ever given me this much hope! It puts your body into Ketosis (where your body uses your stored fat to burn for energy instead of what you eat) I was dreading it, but after the first few days I am finding it fine now! I am even watching family eat cakes in front of me!

I have diagnosed myself... been going the doctors for months and months and nothing has come of it, it has become progressively worse since ive had my 2nd son everyone thought I was depressed but now its In total sync with my periods I now dread it.. I will never go back on anti-depressants again though ive so many and they just made me worse. I saw it online almost every symptom I have, depressed, stress, anxiety, food cravings, mood swings, sleep troubles... have it for about 4 days before my period and stops on my 3rd day its horrible

Hi there. I crave eating soil but cannot eat the soil on the farm as it is filled with fertilizer. I get a metalic tast with this craving. I used to eat soil from the river as a child. I found Bentonite clay on the internet from a health food shop and find that it satisfies my cravings for soil. I make clay cookies baked in the oven with it. Will this harm my health?

Well first of all I honestly encourage you to wait. I had sex for the first time when I was 15(i'm 23 now) and wish I would have waited. That being said you should go to a doctor and get a perscription for the pill. It is a good means of birth control and also helps regulate your period. Still use a condom though, especially as it takes time for the birth control to start working and they don't protect against stds. Also if you're a virgin I'm fairly certain you weren't pregnant. If the symptoms come back I would go to a doctor.

how are u a vigin if u had sex hunni and u should check u are not pregnant xx

Hi, I have always had very heavy painful periods and suffer from PMS which consists of boob pains, stomache bloating, flatulance, headaches, food cravings, fatigue, mood swings & tearfulness. I have found that by taking Evening Primrose capsules and Vitamin B6 taklets, they have helped to relieve my PMS symptoms. If I do not take them I find I really suffer. For pain relief I use Codis 500 and 2 hot water bottles for the cramps. Codis is a very strong painkiller and I only use it when I realy need it. The painkillers make me very sleepy and I sleep the pain away.

i have been overweight for about 10 years and getting really disheartened. i am a single quiet person and have never been confident but now i feel my weight holds me back in meeting/talking to new people- i have lost 2 1/2 stone (down to stress of my last job) but am still about 4/5 stone overweight. i have tried diets and exercise regular now but i seem to eat even when im not hungry and get real savoury cravings which fruit doesnt satisfy. i try to keep myself busy but im so exhausted after work to do anything else other than slounge and binge eat. i have considered a gastric band but it stretches when you overeat-)which i tend to do alot) so sort of defeats the purpose. i want to do this for me more than anything but i cant help but look around and see all my friends getting engaged, married and having babies and feel i am getting left behind- help!

Hi I was watching embarrassing bodies tonight and I saw Leanne who suffers from PMDD. I am exactly the same. When I get near my periods my whole life is a wreck. I was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago and while I was overweight I didn't get periods at all. I have subsequently lost about 7st in weight and my periods are back with avenagence! I get chocolate cravings (which undermine all my weightloss effort), severe cramps in fact this morning I had cramp at 1.am and felt like I was in labour! My moodswings are horrendous I thumped my husband once. I get severe headaches and my whole life feels a mess. I feel so ashamed and don't want to be like this any more. I was given prozac to try and treat it but it didn't really help it made me feel worse.
