Hi, I'm 13 and I have a different type of spot, not ones like acne, but a spot none the less. When i was about 6 i noticed a sort of thick spot on my face, skin toned, but it looks as if it has lots of little white heads, i've tried to get them out but the spot is too hard. when i went to the doctor he said it would go down, but it hasn't not by much. it's gotten to a point when i'm being judged at school. If anyone has any ideas how to get rid of it that would be great, although i'm not that keen on going under the knief.

Hi im 24 years old. Never been sexually active. Im slightly overweight so started going to the gym everyday. I seemed to have a developed a spot on my left labia minora and it is also swollen. I reckon it swelled up and then the spot developed from chafing. The spot looks like a regular spot. Its very painful and i cant walk or sit its so painful. What could it be? What is the reason? And what is the solution? Im quite worried that it could be something serious.

Mostly likely its a cyst. I get the annoying painful little things quite frequently. Some are nice and stay small and some go evil on you and cause a massive swelling. Freaky but usually not serious. You can get them from having to tight of clothing or fold of skin gets pinched and fills up with squished fluid from your cells, or a little nick from shaving or a little bit to much skin came off when waxing has gotten you if you keep it trim down there has let in some bacteria and the abrasion or hole has closed up trapping the infection. For the most part try soaking in a very warm bath filled with Epsom salts for 15 minutes and applying as hot a moist compress as your labia will allow for 15 minutes every few hours. I also usually add some antibiotic cream to kill any germs down there and eventually it SHOULD "pop" on its own. If its a cyst, if not well at least you got some soothing bath time, can take up to a week of this, I usually get about 3 days before mine will pop on their own, bath soaks morning and night and hot compresses as much in the day as I can if I'm not working. If I'm working all I get are the hot baths. Do NOT attempt to stab it even with a sterile needle on your own.I know its tempting but really don't do it, staph infections are NOT fun and a real possibility if you try that method. Once it pops you can GENTLY from the very outer edges press down and move towards the "head"(or hole now where all the gross stuff is leaving you) expect blood, puss, clear liquid, stuff the constancy of cottage cheese, one or all of them is possible. For cysts you can also go to the Dr, but I personally having just experienced this method yesterday...do not recommend, at least not for lancing or removal. First they poke and prod you where it hurts, then they use a needle and do a local on you, then they wait a few minutes lance you with a sterile needle they squish out all the nasty infection. 24 hrs later my labia is more swollen then it was yesterday, more painful and having discovered the joy of them packing idoform gauze in the former cyst cavity to be painful, which is contributing to my inflamed swollen labia, and better yet I have a hole in me that isn't being allowed to close quickly(and yes there are good reasons for a slow heal from inside out which is what this method does) but mine is far enough back that urination is currently pure agony. I'm reduced to tears at the mere THOUGHT of having to urninate...I suffer from thunderclap migraines that no drugs touch the pain not even Oxicontin. I've been kicked in the leg by a horse with iron shoes, I've had my kneecap end up on the BACK of my leg...none of this compares, and yes I shrieked like the proverbial girl that I am, and the little one I once was. I have had cysts in that area before, that popped on their own(not quite that large but still a respectable size) and never experienced pain like this after I had done all the squish out all the gross stuff then a rinse with water and spraying of a antibiotic and slathering on a antibiotic cream. Not trying to scare you or be a TMI or to gross, but I seriously wish some forum somewhere had had the after the DR stabs you with a needle part... Make an informed decision, try the least invasive first and then step up if that isn't working. I'm not saying the Dr route is a bad one, in fact until the local wore off I actually felt pretty darn good with all that infection outta me, then reality hit. Yes its dang hard to sit with a cyst down there, or one that's now gone till it heals up, much less any other problem down there that will cause pain and swelling of the labia. In the end, do what's best for you, if you're really freaked go see a DR and let them put your mind at ease.

Hi. I'm 14 and I have recently noticed a spot on my penus. The spot is like a spot you would get on your face. It's red and it looks pussy. Any help will be great as I am quite concerned. Thanks.

Its sore to touch. it could last up to a week then disappears and reoccurs at least once a month. do you know what this is likely to be?

I'm 18 and I'm sexually active with my boyfriend. We have only had sex with other other so STI's are out of the question right? I noticed a raised spot on my valva. It can be itchy and it's painful to touch. It doesn't look like a wart, just a normally spot. I'm unsure of anything comes out of it as it always looks clean but with a red spot so it could bleed a little. I've had it about over a week now and just worried of what it could be?

There's a purple spot on the tip of my penis, me and my girlfriend had sex and my penis slipped out and she sat on it pretty hard, now it seems like a bruise and it's a little inflamed in that spot only, but it's been4 days and the spot still looks the same, and it doesn't hurt. Hoping it's nothing bad..

I have a medium sized spot/lump on/under my scrotum near my shaft on the left side. It feels like a spot that you would get on your face but is bigger. Inside there is a part which is harder and is inside the spot/swelling. What could this be?

My vagina kind of gets very crusty and I don't like washing much (a personal problem we have been working on). I started my first period this time last month and it hasn't arrived yet and my vagina isn't really very crusty, what should I do? I'm 13 and don't want to tell my dad (single parent.)

Wash the outside parts daily with mild soap and warm water. It is very important to keep clean. Better to shower, and do that at there. You don't need to wash the inside, the body does this naturally. Sometimes your second period won't come right away like expected. It may not become regular right away. If your dad is a single parent, then you will need him to get you pads or tampons. There are directions, but if you need help, you can talk to him, he had a child and knows more about women than you may realize. If not, seek out a female you trust, a guidance counsellor, school nurse, social worker, even go to a clinic or doctor just to discuss what is normal. If you don't want to away what you're doing say, "I need to see a female doctor, to discuss feminine health"

I have large red patches on my face which origonally i thought were spots, however, following spot treatment, my skin got worse, it is dry and crusty, but weeps if i scratch it, which as it is exceptionally itchy i cant help but do! My GP prescribed strong anti histamines and told me to put diprobase on it but now it is unbearable! Please help!

Hey, i got my belly button pierced about 3/4 weeks ago, the top whole has almost healed but still a little crusty, but at the bottom whole there is a spot or a boil of some sort which is fleshy red in colour and sticky to touch, and some puss is coming out it. Is it infected? Is there a home remedy or do I have to go to the doctors and get a anti-biotic prescription?

It's not infected as i had the same thing with mines. It's common to get small blood bubbles/spotty looking kind of things near or around the piercing but they go away after afew days or so. (personally i just burst mines!) But keep cleaning it with some kind of saline solution or if you've not got that, warm water with salt always works for me. It'll heal up in no time. Hope this helps x

well if it's really sore go to the places where you got it pierced and see what they say and then if it's still bothering you go to the doctors so he can have a look :)

recently i thought i had a spot on the back of my neck, and i kinda messed with it a bit, then when i looked in the mirror i realised it was a mole. its really light but because i was scratching it its a bit raised. as soon as i realised i've left it alone, now its a bit crusty. i dont have a lot of moles, just a few and ive always kept an eye on them, especially as my young brother has had a cancerous mole removed. i dont think this mole was there before, i've never noticed it before. i dont know whether to get an appointment because my doctor is all the way across town, if its nothing? thanks

i think of got a classic case of a spot just being a spot. woke up today to find a red, slightly painful spot near the base of my penis shaft. similar to the good sized spot which you would get on your face. it is a bit worrying, but i hope it will sort itself out!

for just over a week I have had a small pimple on the inside edge of my right labia majora. it feels like a spot and is getting sore as a spot does, it looks like it may have a head to it not sure and is very irritating at the moment I'm not sure if this is because I have my period. at first I thought it was a spot or hair follicle, I'm getting worried now - is it likely to just be a spot?

Guys, try not to worry too much. Sometimes a spot can just be a spot. Your penis has skin on it at the end of the day. However, I do suggest having everything you're not sure about checked, especially if you've had unprotected sex. I went to the doctors with a spot on my penis - it was just a spot. GUM Checks aren't pleasant, but it takes a massive weight off your shoulders.

I have a dark spot on my penis but I can only see t when I pull back on the foreskin. I am sexually active but have been in the same relationship for the past eight months. I got this spot recently and it hurts. The pain seem to go away but never fully does. Also, when I have sexual intercourse the spot hurts more after sex. I was wondering what I can do to get rid of the spot.

Hello Im 16 years old, and have had a spot midway on the left side of my penis for about a month now. I think it may be a re-occurrence of a spot that ive had previously. It doesnt look like any spots that ive searched for on the internet so im quite concerned. Its a single quite large spot, which is red and sore with a whitehead. I dont know if to try and pop it or leave it and hope it will go? But im too embarrassed to see a doctor about it, i have tried applying spot cream but its had no affect or even maybe made it worse. Please HELP!

Yo, it's chill, I popped one before and just waited a week or so and it left, just remember to keep your penis clean and shower daily!

Hi im 20 years old. i developed a very small spot JusT below the head of my penis under the urethra meatus which looked very much like a small white spot almost like a spot you might get as a teenager on your skin. i was advised it may just be a spot and dissappear after a few weeks or so, but it has been at least two months now, and another one has surfaced right next to it, and another which looks like its slowely developing close by. i am becoming incresingly worried, can anyone advise me on what it may be, because i cant find any images or infections that look the same as what i have as of yet. Thanks.
