My husband and I have had separate bedrooms for 10 years, since the last child left home. Both of us snored and I got fed up with him blaming me for his poor sleep. BUT I was diagnosed with sleep apnoea 4 years ago and now sleep with a Constant Positive Airway machine. It has changed my life. I now sleep all through the night, 7 hours and a most important effect is that I no longer have bad dreams. This is because the apnoea woke me up in REM sleep, when I was having complicated dreams but actually struggling to breathe. This is so amazing to me. I worry about my husband too, he still sleeps badly but I don't think it sounds as bad as yours since he only snores after drinking lager beer (Stella is the worst !) He refuses to ask to go to sleep clinic. If it is sleep apnoea, the machine will change (and prolong) his life. In the meantime; NO BEER or any alcohol. (This will help with weight loss, I assume he is overweight!) The nose strips or a little device which sits in his nostrils & keeps them more open may help. Best wishes, Jacky

I have difficulty flushing my poo away as it floats. Is this normal?

It's called Peyronies and is caused by plaque. There are treatments, but the outcomes vary greatly. If the angle is that great then it could definitely interfere with intercourse and you should consult with a urologist for your options.

You won't know until you try. If you've had no difficulty (i.e., pain or discomfort) with masturbation, chances are you won't have any difficulty with sex. If you do have difficulty, then that will provide more information which will help with assessment and suggestions of what to do next.

Hi, I had my first severe panic attack two months ago. I felt strong adrenalin rushes, racing heart, difficulty breathing.. i thought i was having a heart attack and was rushed to hospital.. In the following two weeks i felt derealisation, like everything was a dream, i thought i was losing my mind. I found it tough leaving the house, going to the shop etc. Luckily it has all calmed down ,I still often get the feeling of not getting enough oxygen, but i know my breathing is fine. I've had to give up alcohol because i get more panic attacks the following day, and it's not worth it!! My GP gave me diazepam, but i'll only take 2.5-5mg if I'm having a really bad day. Still it makes me feel calmer knowing I have them if I need them.

im so glad that im not the only one this happens to. iv had the same thing happen it me about 7mouths i was so bad i spent 5days in hospital having heart scanes e.i.g the lot, as my heart rate was hiting 290 310 beats ber min... i was so scared, its didnt help the fact that i suffer for panic attacks when feeling or being sick, so when having a panic attack it makes me feel sick witch makes me have a double panic attack.. not nice, i also take diazepam not all the time but like you said its nice to know their if you need them. i also buy RESCUE REMEDY drop's or pastilles it works if your feeling a little unsure and its all natural so you can take med's on top of them.

Hi I have a lump on the inside of one of my nostrils which is quite hard and White with reddy brown bits on the top when I've touching it or picking it it really hurts I've read up on polyps but really don't think that's what it is as I have had it for a few months now and don't have any difficulty breathing and it is very hard. When I first had a good look at it it looked like a wart, but is it even possible to hav a wart up your nose? Anyway I would really appreciate some help

I had dizzy spells/balance problems for more than 3 months. Dr sent me to a breathing clinic. It worked. Sounds stupid but due to continual stress I had got into the habit of breathing from my reserve tank (for want of a better expression). Concentrated on breathing from lower - instead of sucking in tummy & inhaling high in my chest - plus took a week off to relax - & all good. Sometimes there's a simple remedy! xox

Hey, i also have pectus excavatum and if i were you i would go and see a doctor about yours, especially as it seems to be giving you breathing problems. They'll probably give you a breathing test to see whether it is definitely your PE causing your breathing difficulties and then work out the best method of treating your PE,if it needs or you definitely want it to be treated, such as the surgery (the nuss procedure) like i'm getting or i believe there is another way of treating it called the ravitch procedure, i hope this helped (:

I'm not exactly sure if my issue is stress, im now 15 and for 3 years now I've had difficulty breathing and doctors say it could be stress and anxiety but they won't help In any way. I cry and get angry everynight as I have trouble getting comfortable and sleeping, I'm highly irritable and easily annoyed, i can be happy and hyper and all of a sudden be sad or angry. I have self harmed and display signs of depression but I don't know if I should go to a doctor or if its just hormones ? I need help

Hi, I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 12. I'm now 16 and since then I have tried physiotherapy, bracing, theraflex and the clear method. nothing has really done anything and my curve is about 70 degrees and has never caused me any pain. I've been avoiding surgery because it seems so unnecessary because I'm not in pain. Will I start getting pain when I'm older? It's just so confusing because everyone has different opinions about surgery...my doctor thinks I need to be operated on, but is there any point if I'm fine at the moment? My lung volume is pretty low but I've never had any difficulty breathing or anything, so I really don't see the point in surgery..

They tend to perform surgery for cosmetic reasons. Not because of pain . You will definitly expericence alot more back and chest pain as youget older. But they wont operate on you then because you arent a young healthy teenager. Bracing and surgery are the only proven methods to reduce the curve. Id think seriously about it :)

Hi Lydia, I have a 15-year old daughter with 50 degree Cobb both thoracic and lumbar S-type Scoliosis. She is mainly on SpineCor brace now, after discomfort using hard brace. I actually am considering Theraflex and/or CLEAR. I would highly appreciate hearing your experience on both.

My partner is 31 and he had like a hole on his chest. At night time so many times I heard that he "hold" or not breathing for about a minute. Should I send him to the doctor? Please help I'm really worried about him when he stop breathing !!! Think you

I have had two teeth bridges replaced many times by my local dentists each time at the cost of £1200.00 per bridge but only for the bridge to crack , break or crumble piece by piece. I am a pensioner with very limited income and I am able to meet such costs with a lot of difficulty and constraint. Could you help me to seek a more permanent and stable solution as I have difficulty chewing food without those bridges leading to digestion problems apart from the issue if unsightly dental profile and difficulty in maintaining healthy dental regime thus good health I enjoyed prior to my needing dental bridges. Help please!

do you have social issues like difficulty forming friendships/relationships or obtaining/keeping jobs? if you don't, then it is unlikely you have a disability. if you DO have difficulty in these areas, then you can talk to your doctor about referral to a mental health specialist who would have extensive testing for asperger's disorder or autism. the test doesn't mean anything, really - what is more important is your day to day life.

I suffer from Rosecea and have been to the doctor. Went on a course of Antibiotics for a short while. Also a cream called Duac (once a day). The redness has reduced significantly and skin is much smoother. Much more confidence. Also do daily breathing exercises to help reduce nerves that cause blushing. Breathing in through the nose slowly and exhaling through the mouth a few times a day really helps.

Hi Kelley - I have had numerous sinus operations over 20-30 years, and also now have perforation. Great! Your description of difficulty breathing, sinus pain, headaches, sleepless nights and smell of rotting skin is me too!! This whole thing dictates your whole life. I wake up EVERY day and have to try and clear my nose, take paracetamol (4 at a time) and then survive work!! Solution; sadly, still waiting I just KNOW it's almost as my sinuses are full all the time - I have asked Doctors over the years, what about simply putting whole to enable sinuses to drain the stuff that is in there - usually infected stuff? BUT they do not seem to understand the surgery required....

After going through all above statements I feel that most of us are constipated, but not having a bowel movement for 6 to 7 weeks or so is a serious problem. In most cases it is related to stress/anxiety/highly sensitive people who worry a lot in such conditions deep breathing can help a lot done for 20 minutes shallow, but deep breathing, also relaxing helps a lot. Put on some meditation or calming/relaxing music and do deep breathing and see over a week or two and this should work for you, if not I would suggest use of natural ayurvedic products like Sonamukhi powder along with Triphala churna(powder) these are easily available in India where I reside and also available abroad. Also please note these are my recommendations/advice to all, most importantly I am NOT a doctor. Queries/suggestions are all welcome please email me.
