Conditions with symptom: 'dry mouth'
My jaw is very painful, it could be tmj from what i have read. please help! it really hurts? i can barely open my mouth. sometimees i can open it wider than other times but usually in the night it gets stuck then shortly after i wake up and it gets a bit looser after but from today in the morning it was stuck and hasnt loosened. Even though it loosens sometimes the pain is always there especially when i open my mouth. And now when my mouth is shut i can feel it hurts and it feels swollen. I find it hard eating, i cant yawn and it feels like my mouth is in a weird position. When i open my mouth on the right side it feels restricted my ear and a bone near it seems to ache (i dont know if this is the jaw itself or a different bone). is it TMJ, problems with wisdom teeth (even though i cant see any coming through), or something i dnt know about? Please help, thank you :)
I also have tmj and suffered some pain on the one side of the jaw and clicking on the other. i went to see my GP who didn't offer me any advice, except that I should see a chiropractor. I have been seeing one now for a couple of months and the improvments have been amazing! Although i have to be aware of getting stressed, the treatment I have had has been well woth it
I have been diagnosed with tmj, and it sounds very much the same as mine, the cause for mine was stress and grinding while asleep, you can have a mouth guard made up but i found it didn't help much as i would chew that, my advice would be to see a specialist like i did at the dental hospital, i was then refered to a chronic pain clinic as its believed the tmj might have damaged some facial nerves. Now i take a mixture of drugs to block the pain but its taken about 10 years to get to this stage and the meds leave me tired and a little strange, i think if the doctors had known before it might not have gotten to this stage, for years i was told it was my wisdom teeth comming through. So push for answers and help from Your gp and dental hospital as some cases can last just a few months so i'm told. I wish You all the best in resolving Your pain.

I had an mouth ulcer on the roof of my mouth. My dentist told me it will disappear if I carry out a roof canal treatment. However it didn't. And now this ulcer has been sitting in my mouth for over a year now, I am really worried. It does not hurt normally but I can feel sometimes it goes bigger and sometimes smaller. Don't know what it is really, can anyone suggests pls?
I have white stuff which I think is thrush in my mouth on my tongue, roof of mouth, cheeks, side of mouth and now it looks like it's starting at the back of my throat too.I also have white creamy discharge down below too.My mouth is so sore I can't eat or drink anything. For the last few weeks I have been waking up at night drenched in sweat.I have had a temperature for two weeks and it won't go away. When I get out of bed I get so out of breath that I have to go back. Can thrush go away on its own?My mom made an appointment with a doctor because she's worried but I get really nervous at the doctors and don't really want to go.Is there anything I can do to make it go away on its own or lower my temperature(think I've tried everything though). Please help.
Hi this is Maria again. The doctor rang my mom with my blood results and she said that they aren't normal. She said that my white blood cells are extremely high 101,000 with blasts??? and my red blood cells and my platelets are very low.She wants me and my parents to come in and talk to her tomorrow morning and she said that I will have to go to hospital for tests.I am really scared.I don't want to go to hospital. Is it bad to have high white cells and low of the other cells?what does it mean?Do you normally go to hospital because of thrush??why do I need tests.I am scared that I have something bad because my mom has been crying since the doctor rang. Please can someone who has thrush tell me that this is all normal. Please please?
Are you ok? I wish I could give you advice but I do not have the medical knowledge to advise you on this but I hope you have got some answers from the hospital xx

I have crohn's disease and currently have very bad angular chelitis on the right side of my mouth. I have tried lots of creams but nothing helps. It bleeds whenever I open my mouth to smile or eat and is very sore and ugly. I am currently on prednisone, azathioprine and am about to start on humira. This medication is stopping my gastrointestinal flaring and bleeding and my mouth ulcers, but doesn't seem to help the chelitis. I'm desperate to get rid of it!

My boyfriend lied to me before we ever had sex and said he was checked out and had no STDs or STIs...I got chlamydia from him and I got medicine to clear it up. He had given me head and then we would kiss...does this mean I have it in my mouth, too? And if so, will the medicine given for the infection in my vagina clear up my mouth infection (if I have it in mouth) ?
I have white stuff on my tongue, cheek and roof of my mouth. The sides of my mouth are cracked and red too.I can't eat anything because my mouth is so sore.I also have white creamy discharge you know where aswel.I have been getting awful night sweats for the last few weeks.I wake up absolutely drenched in sweat so I have to change the sheets.I am so exhausted. Is this all because of thrush? My mom wants me to go to the doctor but I hate the doctors and needles. How can I make this go away without going to the doctors. Please help.Thanks.
Hello. I'm 36 years old and I have a lot of acne around the mouth, that is on my chin and on the area above my mouth. The rest of my face is clear, but that area is always affected. When I'm on the pill it seems to get a lot better, but I recently got off of it and the acne around the mouth reappeared again, and this time much worse! It seems to me that it is hormone related. I had an ovarian cyst once, but the doctor didn't seem to be too worried about it. Should I seek hormonal treatment? Go back on the pill? Thank you!
Hi i am 20 years old and have a mole by the side of my mouth. as i have got older it seems to have got bigger and more raised. I really would like to get it removed but unfortunately my GP informs i have got to go private to get it removed as of where it is. apparently there are too many nerves near the mouth area and i could be at risk of the side of my mouth drooping if i get it removed. I have looked into it and it is far to expensive for me to go private. Is there any other way i can get it removed? thanks
