I have had real bad earwax issues for years now, and all the doctors tell me to do is use olive oil, and not once has this worked. I ave tried this 5 times now, and its really frustrating... Where should I go to actually get some better treatment?

Hi! A little while ago, I was poking and prodding my ear with my finger far too much :/ Ever since, for about four months maybe, my earwax smells bad and my ear feels sort of clogged up. Any home remedies to solve this problem, whatever it may be? Or what should I do?

Hi there well done for your weight loss,i'm the same as you and have lost 11 stone in 8 months and now i'm in a size 16 to 18 close, which is good. I have applied through my Dr for help with getting the excess skin removed which is about 3 and a half stone. But sadly i have been turned down for NHS help due for there is no funding. I'm disabled and i have been told if i want it removed i will have to pay for it myself, sadly i don't have that kind of money. So sadly for me the excess skin has to stay. Good luck

I am a 16 year old girl who has excess hair leading to my belly button, fortunately it is not as excessive as Anokhi's but it makes me feel extremely self conscious. I am on the contraceptive pill as I heard this can help with cases of excess hair. I was just wondering what pill Anokhi was on, if it was the same as mine and if mine would in fact help my excess hair problem. I am taking Ovranette. Thanks!

This is the exact same problem that I am suffering from. I am a 17 year old girl and I understand how self conscious you are! My excess hair runs in a straight line from the middle/bottom of my breasts down to my belly button. More hair runs to my pubic line but I have shaved from my belly button to that line. I also need help to get rid of this excess hair!! I think shaving will make it look worse. You are not alone!! Please help!

Hi, I'm 19 and have 36 DD boobs, since having my son I went up to a 38 G. And since my boobs have come back down to a DD they are really sagging, when I lie down in bed they totally droop to the sides, not only do they droop but there is so much excess skin on them, when I where a bra all the excess skin crinkled up, it has already put a strain on my relationship because I won't be naked in front of him anymore. The same has happened with my stomach due to having an emergency C-section. I exercise & exercise but it sags, have lost all my baby weight but it still sags and I have some excess skin, is there anything I can do about this? I really want surgery but can't afford it. Its really making me feel depressed now, I have no self confidence what so ever x

If you go to your GP you can get a cream called Vaniqa. YOu need to apply it twice a day after removing any hairs (leave 5 mins between removing and using cream) Within 4 weeks or perhaps sooner, you should find that hair growth is minimal. However, must continue to use the cream on a twice daily basis. The active ingredient is an enzyme inhibitor. It inhibits the growth of hair.

I went to urgent care 3 weeks so while on vacation bc right ear was badly infected. Dr. said I had a middle ear infection & there was fluid behind eardrum. I was given an antibiotic shot, double dose of z-pack and drops for poison and inflammation. The poison is gone, however my right ear is still clogged. Dr said I didn't have earwax problems (I've never produced much earwax). Both ears are now clogged (the right so bad I cannot hear out of it-except for an annoying buzzing/ringing sound)... what could be going on if not objection or earwax? Hope someone knows...ugh!

I had another check and was told not to use any ear spray as it will not help. I have eczema in my ear which doesn't help with build up and my ear canal goes back on it's self which is why they could never find out what was wrong. Such a relief! I now have them cleaned every 3 months and the ear infections have ceased a little now I know what's going on.

I have exactly the same issue, I have never had a problem with my ears in my life then I got an infection in my right ear and was eventually given antibiotic drops but it us still slightly inflamed then for no reason my left ear become completely blocked up GP said there is no wax and my ear is clean and said it should clear itself well it's two weeks now and I still can't hear out of it so I'm going back can anyone help

I have had a problem with excessive earwax for a number of years and having had them syringed, used cerumol and earex on my gp's instruction, I've found that hopi candles are by far the best and most successful option for me. I get earache when my ear becomes bunged with wax and once I used hopi candles the ache goes away along with the excess wax. They are cheap and you can buy them in most health Stores.

Hi, i have a 4.5 yr old son suffering from ear ache 2 days after the doctor flushed his left ear with water due to earwax that blocked. We went twice to the emergency because my son was really screaming in pain, first time we went they sucked the earwax but still there's more left so they told me to put eardrops (oil) until it clears away. But the following day my son was still in pain so we went back to the emergency but they cannot detect if its ear infection because they could not be able to see his eardrum since its blocked. And they said it has nothing to do with what his GP did after flushing his ear with water. Now its been more than a week then since we last see a doctor but my son's ear starting to get itchy en smells really bad. White fluid are kept on coming out of his. I still continue the eardrops en put him under a hot shower en nothing else. I'm afraid whether his eardrum affected or loss his hearing. What else can i do?

Hi Rebecca, I myelf suffer from this. I am just a guy at university who is trying to make something of myself but with this issue have been turned away from job to job and I feel like giving up. it seems easier to go on benefits which is sadly frowned apon, only adding to the stress of my life. I try to apply for jobs where its cold, but being selective in this economy is the best way of not getting a job. I didn't spend years at uni and college and school to be stunned into a job that has good aircon. I hope you find a cure, I found the only thing that works for me is to stop eating. in fact I didn't eat for 5 days and felt the cold like I had never. I am always hot too ? I heard that I could be insensitive to gluten and thus that causes me to get hot, so the stopping eating may have cleared my gluten levels, im not sure. I would say to get tested for it but the tests are awful and very inaccurate, instead just cut it out for a month and see if there is a difference. also sage is good for women who sweat, pro banthine bromide tablets are good but with horrific side effects, i.e cant speak and have red eyes all day , even with eye drops. good luck

Hi, Could i please ask for you help, I have dry earwax in both ears and i have to clean my ears with a small ear pick very gently to loosen it, as i can't use a cotton bud as it seems to push in further into my ear and blocks up, but also i have tried eardrops subcribed by my local doctor and that doesn't seem to make a different.

My daughter had a c-section 2 years ago, and she has put weight on, but is now starting to loose it. She asked to Dr if there was anything that could be done about the excess skin and his reply was loose weight, well won't that add to the excess skin? She has to wear a size bigger than needed in clothes to "tuck" the excess skin in! She's only 20! Someone must know what can be done

I have a similar problem, I became very large around my belly when I was pregnant and she was a big baby, I had an emergency c-section aswell but now have an overhang where the scar is and saggy skin and belly button. I'm 23 and plan on having another one but I'm so worried about how my stomachs will then look. It gets painful where the waist line of my trousers sits on my belly and I get in the top part of my stomach after wearing things like leggings from where they've sank into my belly. My partner isn't bothered by It but I'm so self confident about it, it's almost like I still have baby pouch but she's now 2 years old :( My gp sent me to physio and told me to do Pilates as my stomach muscles tore and needed to bring them together, which is now sorted, but the problem is the overhang :(

Hello, I was just wondering if your GPS has considered polycystic ovaries syndrome. I have suffered from this for 15 years and didn't put on excess weight until after child birth but have always suffered with excess hair and have just been put on metformin to try and help my symptoms also spironlactone can help with excess hair. It will not cure it but will hopefully help the symptoms. I only wish I could have been put on this when I was 20. I have never heard of cold weather causing excessive hair. I wish you luck with your daughter and hope she gets some answers soon.
