Conditions with symptom: 'excess mucus'
Husband had a silastic button fitted 2 days ago and is struggling with excess mucus now in nasal passages. This is keeping us both awake 😔 Is it normal to have this post-surgery? Any tips on managing it? I can't cope with the lack of sleep and neither can he. Thanks.
I suffer from feacal incontinence because I have a constant flow of clear mucus from my bowel just like a running nose. Is the mucus caused by my diet?
Hi, I had this problem as well and sice I am taking Ultra Flora from Amipro (must be refrigerated) and was also diagnosed with lactose intolerance and wheat sensitivity, I am much much better and have changed my diet since. you can either take one capsule per day or if it is bad, you can take two per day. This product changed my stool from diarrhea to normal soft! I sincerely hope it will help you. Kind regards
I have a huge amount of mucus on and around my stools, also there was a thick sticky mucus just above my anal area this morning. I have had this before most days I get varying degrees of this. Please can you offer any advice for me. I am 5o female, non drinker non smoker and I eat well. Thank you
Hi - I had this problem so i went for a colonic irrigation. The hydrotherapist said the mucus is formed by my body as an intolenace to wheat, and by eating too much sugar. He gave me a course of pro-boitics (available from Boots / heath shop) and it has totally disappeared.
i'v been constipated for a few years now on and off, this morning i went to the toilet and opened my bowels, when wiping myself i kept noticing this mucus sticky stuff, i stood up to check bowl and the mucus stuff was all around my poo. its really sticky and quiet a large amount of it. should i be concerned? help?
I have halved my size in the last year and a half. I now have excess skin at the top of my arms, legs, and stomach etc. Due to my weight loss, I now have excess skin , I now have folds in my skin, which is extremely sore and painful. Can I get any help with my excess skin? I'm in more pain now due to rashes and sores in my folds of skin that I was before I started loosing my excess weight. I have gone from wearing a ladies size 28, to wearing 18 -20 and still continue on the right road.
Hi there well done for your weight loss,i'm the same as you and have lost 11 stone in 8 months and now i'm in a size 16 to 18 close, which is good. I have applied through my Dr for help with getting the excess skin removed which is about 3 and a half stone. But sadly i have been turned down for NHS help due for there is no funding. I'm disabled and i have been told if i want it removed i will have to pay for it myself, sadly i don't have that kind of money. So sadly for me the excess skin has to stay. Good luck
Hi i'm 17 and a girl. I have a lot of excess hair on my tummy, back etc. I also get excess sweating and have small breasts. I'm wondering if this is an imbalance in hormones and if theres something I can take to even it out ? or if it's something else? please help as i'm so self conscious of it all the time :(
Hi, I'm a 20 yearl old male and for about 2 years now (it might even be longer I can't recall not having this problem actually) I've been suffering with a sore, itchy anus. There has been a 'discharge' as well, sometimes it is a clear like liquid that won't stop, on bad days it has soaked through to my jeans. Other times it is a very pale yellow-green greasy mucus like build-up. It smells bad and has been very embarrasing for me, it also itches more when the mucus is there and sometimes that is unbearable. There is blood coming from my anus too but only after I pass a stool (I have checked my stool and it contains no blood). I'm too embarrased to go to my doctor could somebody please help me. Thank you.
These problms are more common than people think. No body talks about them though so people suffer in silence. Your doctor will be able to help.People go to doctor with These sorts of problems every week.
I would go to the doctor asap, you would be surprised what they see everyday. You are just a human body to them nothing to be embarrassed about. or go straight to A&E when its bad and be seen by someone there.Must get it checked out though.
I am a 16 year old girl who has excess hair leading to my belly button, fortunately it is not as excessive as Anokhi's but it makes me feel extremely self conscious. I am on the contraceptive pill as I heard this can help with cases of excess hair. I was just wondering what pill Anokhi was on, if it was the same as mine and if mine would in fact help my excess hair problem. I am taking Ovranette. Thanks!
This is the exact same problem that I am suffering from. I am a 17 year old girl and I understand how self conscious you are! My excess hair runs in a straight line from the middle/bottom of my breasts down to my belly button. More hair runs to my pubic line but I have shaved from my belly button to that line. I also need help to get rid of this excess hair!! I think shaving will make it look worse. You are not alone!! Please help!
Hi, I'm 19 and have 36 DD boobs, since having my son I went up to a 38 G. And since my boobs have come back down to a DD they are really sagging, when I lie down in bed they totally droop to the sides, not only do they droop but there is so much excess skin on them, when I where a bra all the excess skin crinkled up, it has already put a strain on my relationship because I won't be naked in front of him anymore. The same has happened with my stomach due to having an emergency C-section. I exercise & exercise but it sags, have lost all my baby weight but it still sags and I have some excess skin, is there anything I can do about this? I really want surgery but can't afford it. Its really making me feel depressed now, I have no self confidence what so ever x
My daughter is 3years old... has had chronic bowel problems since birth. (She had a Colidocal Cyst removed from her liver at 5 months which had 3/4 pint of fluid in!) She is so bright and intelligent but has really struggled with toilet training. She has always coughed up this thick gloopy, white mucus and was put on antibiotics from being approx 12 months. Sweat test came back negative. Consultant stopped antibiotics in Jan, thick mucus started again... tested it for cultures came back clear now they want to test for CF again. Help and advice please!!
Hi i had two sweat tests one was negative the last one posative. im 42 this year i hope your daughter is non Cf but i guess shes been so unwell you need answers. sputum maybe wouldnt show bugs so young? bowel stool is normaly sent away im sure ? i hope she picks up soon. avoid dairy food it makes me much worse! well i do have a little now and then..
Sorry to hear about your Daughter, it must be such a worry for you. Suffering with C.F. myself, you usually get horrible yellow to green coloured sticky phelgm, it's rarely white, well, from my experience anyway! I've always thought that white mucus is good, & not infected, but I'll leave the diagnosis up to the medical professionals! Let's hope the tests come back negative for C.F. & you find out what is wrong with your Daughter, so that she can be offered treatment, if required, very soon .. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, your Daughter & your Family ... :+)
