they could just be skin tags or genital warts, i had this problem and found that treating them with warticon solved the problem. u can get this from your GP. I hope this helps

I am a 29year old female. In 2008 I noticed about 4 growths on my labia, so I went to get it checked out in my local GUM/STI clinic, having been reviewed by the Head Consultant, I was told they werent genital warts but that they didn’t know what they were. I asked could it be the possibility of ingrown hairs due to shaving. I got 'maybe' as a reply. However to this day, I have never found anything on the internet that is indicative of my symptoms, no forums, no pictures etc… and although I should be happy that the consultant never found concern for the growths to be investigated further, to this day I’ve never been happy with this response I was given, & now in the last number of years the growths have multiplied. The growths are black in appearance, soft, the size of a large pinhead, there is no pain, no discomfort and if they rupture due to me attempting to squeeze them or because of shaving they leak thick black blood, but they never disappear. I am concerned that they have multiplied and would like a more definitive answer however because of the small town I live in, the embarrassment of having to go back to my local STI clinic is more than I can bare and the probability is that I would be seen by the same consultant again anyhow. Any help will be gratefully appreciated it.

I'm a 39 year old male and I've had these on my scrotum for quite a few years, like yours, increasing in number over the years. The only way I can make them bleed is by aggressively picking at them, but as they are so small and flat I haven't really worried about them.

Your comments about their blood content worry me a lot. I am not a doctor but you really should get this checked out, especially if it is getting worse. If you don't want to go the the STI clinic in your town, find one in a neighboring area that you can get to. Many places (such as Planned Parenthood) are great for handling potential emergency situations like this one. If you have some kind of STI or anatomical problem, you need it taken care of ASAP. Hope it all works out for you.

I am 32, never had children, but I think something is wrong with my vagina, and am not sure what to do, if anything. Visually it seems different, the opening seems wider/larger, and as you part open the entrance you can see fleshy bits. They are liketwo fleshy flaps sort of? If I strain and look at same time with mirror it then looks more like a little tunnel (the 'flaps inside I see instead looks like an inner light pink fleshy tunnel - start of) Is this normal? I always feel a fullness/pressure in my lower tummy, above bikini line, feel full inside me, and just does not seem right. More pain lower back and sides, when going for poo my vaginal opening and just below pushes up and out, it visually looks like something is pushing under that area between opening and anus. Sometimes I have to insert finger in vagina and push on wall to help me go poo as it gets stuck, its wierd. Can anyone PLZ tell me what this could be, and what I need to do? HAvent told this to my gp as I have been there a lot recently after Carcinoma in situ and then cervical erosion, now this?? Do I need to go hospital if anything gets worse, or what? Feel so down, alone and ashamed of myself down the4re. My husband isn't allowed near me sexually the last 3 months bcoz of it. Plus theres blood in my poo 9 times out of 10 over the last 3 months, feel a freak. Help

Just go to your dr and get checked out, I was the same and ended up with a total uterine prolapse, which became evident when my cervix showed itself. The blood in your poo might be from straining but really you need to get checked out. Good luck!

I am 8 months pregnant and have noticed that one side of my labia has started to look lumpy and out of shape. Is this normal? It almost looks like there are growths on it.

I haven't been sexually active for over a year. Recently I have noticed on the inside of my vagina that there are quite a few skin coloured fleshy (bumps? Growths?) some are bigger than others. I've looked at STI' and doesn't look anything like warts or herpes. I had an abnormal smear and having a repeat one today. Just wondering if you think it could be anything else.

I have had a series of genital wart growths since I was diagnosed with it late December, since then they seem to come and go after very uncomfortable treatment with the creams. As this made my vagina very sore, I switched to the freezing treatment which seemed to work better. However, I have noticed the skin on the side of my vagina where the warts were are very sensitive now, and once after washing, a bit of the skin pilled of to reveal pink fleshy skin. Although it did not bleed, it was really horrible and emotionally stressful, since then I have refrained from sex, and although the area is still pinkish, it is healing, but is there anything I can do to help it along?

Hi there, I saw the show this evening, and was particularly interested in finding out the name of the operation the girl underwent to remove her growths of endometriosis. I have the condition, and I have undergone a laparoctomy / myomectomy 10 yrs ago. The operation itself - it gets rid of all of the growths "from the root", so to speak, but it doesn't eradicate the condition; this is my understanding... I have another condition, so going under the knife for investigative ops has to be weighed up carefully. Awaiting your response. Thank you!

I'm 18 I've not had sex or been sexually active. I have dark skin colour, soft cauliflower like growths (not like warts I've had before on my fingers or feet) on only the left side of my labia majora, growing pretty much along in a straight line. I've had it for as long as I can remember and I think there have become more very, very slowly over time. I've researched this extensively for years and vulva cancer is the only thing that really seems to match. Does this sound like I have it? I'm really too shy to see a doctor, but it worries me a lot. There is no obvious pain, regular itching or other symptoms other than the growths.

Ok Alex, I just did a very quick bit of research on this and as you say you don't have all the classic symptoms of vulva cancer. But there are some bits of your description that worry me (probably the same bits that worry you). You say you're realy too shy to see a doctor and I am with you there but, I was recently forced by my wife to go to my doctor about symptoms I was experiencing and it's not so bad as you think. Indeed given the circumstances if you need a glass of wine or two beforehand (if your not driving) then do so. I am not advocating alcoholism here, its just that I think it is more important that you get a qualified diagnosis on this.

Hi. I am 21 I have been having problems with my sexual health for a long time now but haven't had much luck with diagnosing the problem. I have seen several doctors and been in and out of my gum clinic a few times. Basically I have what look like large ulcers or growths inside the opening of my vagina. The doctors don't seem to have noticed this which I find very odd, but I know my own body, and they only appeared there about 9 months ago. They are not painful- in fact when I touch or squeeze them I can hardly feel anything. I looked at some photographs online of what a healthy vagina should look like, and mine just seems to look odd and full of growthy lumps in comparison.I have been tested for STI's like herpes and all tests came back clear- besides, it doesn't look anything like herpes, the lumps are much bigger and fleshy. I would really appreciate it if you could give me some help or guidelines as I'm worried and frustrated about what's going on down there.

hi, im 14 and i have been tested for herps and sti's but it wasnt anything like that 3 months later they took 5 swabs and sent them off and came back saying i have behcets syndrome for every swab, the only difference is my genital ulcers are extremely painful

It RARELY occurs in later Age as it is there from birth and diagnosed at a very young age, and you need more than 2 cafe-laits on your skin. As well as freckles in your grion and your armpits. I have NF1 and have about 30+cafe laits all Over my body as well as freckles especially under my neck. You also will notice little fleshy type purpley pink lump type tags called Fibromas on your skin or large growths these are begine (excuse my spelling) tumours. FINALLY you will notice lots of Fibromas pop up during big hormonal changes like pregnancy or onset of puberty, puberty is also very late or early in NF suffers. If you had NF, you'd been told as a child. Not an adult. Hope this helps. also I'm a student nurse with NF, and have fair bit of experience of it.

looking at my vagina with a mirror it is not a straight down hole .. but there is pink fleshy stuff ... Is it meant to a be a straight down hole or this pink fleshy stuff not normal?? Im really worried !
