Conditions with symptom: 'growths'
i've got these growths that look like skin tags, but larger, around my vaginal opening. they don't look like genital warts, and both myself and my boyfriend have been tested and monogamous for 2 years with favorable results(we were both healthy) i've only just found these growths and want to have some idea of what they might be while i'm waiting to see myy doctor.. help??
they could just be skin tags or genital warts, i had this problem and found that treating them with warticon solved the problem. u can get this from your GP. I hope this helps
I am a 29year old female. In 2008 I noticed about 4 growths on my labia, so I went to get it checked out in my local GUM/STI clinic, having been reviewed by the Head Consultant, I was told they werent genital warts but that they didn’t know what they were. I asked could it be the possibility of ingrown hairs due to shaving. I got 'maybe' as a reply. However to this day, I have never found anything on the internet that is indicative of my symptoms, no forums, no pictures etc… and although I should be happy that the consultant never found concern for the growths to be investigated further, to this day I’ve never been happy with this response I was given, & now in the last number of years the growths have multiplied. The growths are black in appearance, soft, the size of a large pinhead, there is no pain, no discomfort and if they rupture due to me attempting to squeeze them or because of shaving they leak thick black blood, but they never disappear. I am concerned that they have multiplied and would like a more definitive answer however because of the small town I live in, the embarrassment of having to go back to my local STI clinic is more than I can bare and the probability is that I would be seen by the same consultant again anyhow. Any help will be gratefully appreciated it.
I'm a 39 year old male and I've had these on my scrotum for quite a few years, like yours, increasing in number over the years. The only way I can make them bleed is by aggressively picking at them, but as they are so small and flat I haven't really worried about them.
Your comments about their blood content worry me a lot. I am not a doctor but you really should get this checked out, especially if it is getting worse. If you don't want to go the the STI clinic in your town, find one in a neighboring area that you can get to. Many places (such as Planned Parenthood) are great for handling potential emergency situations like this one. If you have some kind of STI or anatomical problem, you need it taken care of ASAP. Hope it all works out for you.

i have large lumps on the left hand side of my vagina. They have been there for ten years or more, I have been to the GP and she didn't think it was warts but she has no idea what is is. they are large round tubular and round growths that are like a separate entity and hang down so that thats all you can see. can you please help?
The hair around my anus gets very itchy and I think I might have an ingrowing hair or a hair wrapped around one of the skin growths I have down there. This has been a problem for a long time and although I have been examined by Dr it is always put down to thrush. Some days this bothers me so much that it feels as if it is taking over my life and making me absolutely miserable.
I sometimes get that. It can be very annoying. Have you tried any creams to rub into the affected area. I would suggest using Bepanthen antiseptic cream. It is very good for getting rid of itches as mothers uses it on their new born babies if they have nappy rash however it works just the same. Give it a try.
