i am 34 years old and was sterilised about 8 yrs ago, a few months after the op i stated to get very bad lower abdominal pain on the left side (it fees like somebody is squeezing me on the inside), i visited my gp when I first experienced the pain, and he said it was period pain. i told him i expeience pain when im not due on, but went away with some tablets don't remember the name, but 8 yrs on im still suffering from the same pain, thought it might be ibs, but now wonder if it could be endo. i know i should go back to gp, does this sound familiar?

I used to have exactly the same symptoms. I have since had an ovary removed because of severe endo and am soon going to be having a hysterectomy as I too love sport and my stomach pains interfere with that. I am only 32 but have already kids so to me , this is the best option. Good luck

Interstitial Cystitis is awful. It took 15 years for me to get the diagnosis after going from doctor to doctor. I also have other conditions that go along with I.C. Vulvodynia, Vulvar Vestibulitis, Endometriosis, plus others. I have severe pain with my I.C. I have had 6 hydrodistentions, but he pain always returns. I can not be cathed due to severe pain. I'm on all the meds for I.C. Elmiron, Elavil, Hydroxyzine and I'm in pain management. What is very sad is that many who suffer from I.C. and have severe pain, are not being given adequate pain control, many have to fight to get pain meds. Not all who have I.C. have severe pain, but some do, like me. The medical community needs to understand this. Please send your patients with I.C. to pain management, the pain is unreal. We need more awareness on this horrible disease.

I have pain in my lower abdomen and back. I bleed inbetween periods and have pain during and after sex which can usually last up to 4 hours and I'm unable to move sometimes. I also have severe pain before and during my period. I have been very depressed and when I went to the doctor he said I shouldn't worry and to take pain killers but these do not help with the pain. Could I have endometriosis??

This sounds absolutely awful. No wonder you are depressed. I really think that it is important that you go and see your doctor. Any kind of pain like what you are describing is wrong !!! You should not be in pain. Please put pressure onto your doctor to refer you to go and see a gynocologist. Many doctors are not in a position to identify endometriosis as it is a very specialised area. In fact it cannot be diagnosed without a keyhole operation. If it is in fact endometriosis (which sounds likely as your symptoms are identical to the ones I had) then time is very important (especially if you are wanting to have children - you do not say how old you are). Good luck, and keep asking for help until you get to the bottom of this.

I am 55 and was just diagnosed with CD. I was assaulted and started having severe headaches and neck pain. I have doctored for over 18 months and I'm just now finding a doctor that could tell me that I'm not losing my mind. I go for my second drs. appt. on the 5th of Jan. and I'm hoping for some pain relief. I don't sleep well due to the pain and my neck pulls to the left; the pain is absolutely horrible. I have had Systemic Lupus since I was 16 so I'm very familiar with pain, but this pain is the worst I've ever experienced. Any information on what they will possibly prescribe me for the pain? Thank you for any information, and best of luck to you all.

Oh, sweetie...I feel your pain. Please know you are not alone in this. I know it's seriously painful and it's embarrassing and there's not a guarantee it'll go away. But any kind of pain you endure will make you stronger. As trite as that might sound, I promise, it is true. You're right to steer clear of pain killers, which as you say do not help ease that kind of piercing pain, and will cause constipation and other serious difficulties (I speak from experience). Please take this opportunity to strengthen yourself. Do not accept defeat. Don't even talk about death. Don't even think it. Continue to be proactive where you can be. What you cannot heal, you must learn to accept. Know that you are better for it. You are able to cope with a very private, but very real pain, and you are strong. Please don't disregard what I am saying because it might sound a bit flaky. I know how this sounds, but I swear, I am not a flake. I am a person who shares in this very same problem. I know how bad it is. Trust me, I do. But you must not give in to pain. You must never let it destroy you. Conquer it. Make the pain work for you, not against you.

Thank you I really appreciate your words . An update I had a 3 surgery. The surgean decided the rubber band in rectum wasn't working so they cut the whole area and removed a big piece of skin basicly he removed all the fistula and the skin around.I do have a big shunk of no skin close to anus but it is no longer painful I see no puss and I believe its healing . I finally see myself in a better place I will be sarting work on 17 almost and I won't be able to sit for 6 weeks . I will say one of the hardest part of the process other than the pain iis trying to get financial help to cover for medical bills I'm close to$ 50.000 grand on med ical bills its stressing me olot .

I get a pain mainly in my right testicle, i only get this pain in foreplay but once i ejaculate the pain goes away. The weird thing is its not the actual testicle that's in pain. Its the tubes leading towards the testicle that's in pain and often swells up after foreplay. For some reason, when i get aroused then don't end up ejaculating the pain is much worse, any help?

I have a squidgy type lump on what feels like the top of testicle I think is called the Epidermis?. It sometimes goes smaller and feels less fluidy but sometimes it can gather allot of fluid. I sometimes get an ache but its nothing bad. I went the doctors years ago and they detected a fluid around my testicles because one had a squidgy fluid around it casuing it to be bigger.

I'm in extreme amount of pain, the pain started through the right side of my body, with a headache sore arm and sore leg, however when I went to the doctors they told me it was tonsillitis. Yes, now I am in pain with my throat, but my chest and back is providing me with unbearable pain, I feel like such a moan, but nobody understands how much pain I'm in.

I too get a whole variety of symptoms when i suffer from tonsillitis so you're not alone, first things first the back pain is usually attributed to dehydration. With a sore throat we're reluctant to cause any more pain so we tend to eat and drink less. It is important you keep hydrated even just sips of water every 10 minutes will make a huge difference i promise. (personal fave:hot water and lemon and honey - full of vitamins you need to boost your immunity). Your other aches are usually a sign that your body is exhausted and you don't have enough energy to keep yourself going, one bout of tonsillitis can riddle your whole body and i have sometimes felt like i was dying when the pain got so bad. Saddle yourself up with plenty of painkillers (codeine will knock you out and allow you to get some all important sleep which is essential tallow the body to recover), keep a record of what you've taken and when - I do this one: because i tend to be a bit drowsy/forgetful when I'm poorly and two: if you end up having to go see your gp/hospital you can tell them how much you have taken and show them that you are still in unbelievable amounts of pain (this should speed things up for treatment). I would keep an eye on your symptoms - swollen tonsils, glands, earache, white spots - are all clear indicators of tonsillitis, if you're not presenting any of these and just a sore throat i recommend going back to your gp for another assessment as it may be something else. Hope you're feeling better now though and you're probably a picture of health now but its always handy for the future! best wishes x

Iam also 33 and have been having the same pain as you but with neck pain also. It started in my right elbow and hand but recently i have had pain in my left elbow too even holding my mobile brings on pain and i have even been woken in the night through pain. I have a few other health problems don't think any are related to this but if you have found the reason i would be gratefull for some info to be posted. Thanx

Do I have IC -I do not know. I have been in pain in my lower abdomen for the last 5 months. The pain feels very much like period pain but since I a 74 yrs of age, but female, I think that can happily be discounted. I do not urinate constantly because I know that I do not need to. Pain seems to be at it worst when lying prone. It really is beginning to drag me down the idea of pain killers does not appeal I seem to become to allergic to them - anybody any ideas. Lots of cranverry juice - sorry I am diabetic as well would not fir in very well with my regime.
