Yes, im getting off it myself to much pms problems.

I have very large left side varicocele at 14 years old, GP asked me to lie down while checking so he obviously didn't know what he was doing (as lying down causes the veins to vanish). Had it for 3 years now, slight pains and uncomfort but nothing out of the ordinary (I imagine). Should I get it checked out again as I am very worried about infertility? Also im worried that it might bother girls if they notice during sex, or it might be painful during sex? Any feedback or answers through personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi not sender but I am 13 and I've got weird lumps in my ball any idears

You need to go to a different doctor, preferably a pediatric urologist who will examine you as well as do a sonogram of the area. I have identical twin boys who both had this condition begining at age 12. They both had surgery at age 15. You should be nearly through pruberty for this surgery to be done, if in fact that is what it is and you need to have it done. This is definitly something that can affect fertility in the future. The surgery is simple and recovery 2-3 days and 2-3 weeks for sports or heavy lifting. Get it Checked!

i had chlamydia when i was 15 and was then diagnosed with pelvic inflammatory disease i had a 2 week course of antibiotics.i am now 20 and my symptoms have worsened i have back pain all the time and my back is very weak i have had about 10 periods since 2009 i have a huge fear of needles and doctors and when i have actually gone they wont do anything until i have a blood test. last time i went to the doctor he said he wanted to test my hormone level to see if i ovulate and also check for PCOS i have researched this and my symptoms, is there any other way i can be tested for these things without blood test and will having PID for 5 and a half years have caused infertility.

Hi, I have the same problem when I was single , it is lots of worry , I went to my gp , they prescribe me the harmone tablets which help me get back to regular my period . It not gonna harm you and do lots of exercise .now am married and even had a child , so do consult your gp .As him to give you tablet , which you have to take just 5 days before you due to your period .sorry for my poor explanation but will help you lots , was in same situation like you ...

I'm 16 and I have had very irregular periods ever since I'd started (which was a few days off being 15.) My first period was very light and only lasted 2 days. From then, I have had very few periods and the ones I have had have only seemed to have lasted one day/one time bleeding. They have never really been a month apart and I go months and months without having one. However, in January i had a 'normal' period which lasted about a week and was a lot heavy than the others. The next month I had a period, however the blood was very thick and again only lasted one day. Since then, I have gone nearly 6 months without a trace of blood. I'm not sexually active and I am still a virgin. Everywhere I look on the internet I see infertility and I am so worried as to whether I will ever be able to conceive. :'( Please please help!! Thank you. :)

periods can go on like this till 20. Ensure you carry product in your bag whilst this irregular situation is going on. Doctors can prescribe something, but nine out ten times it rights itself as you age.

I am in my early 20's and have an epididymal cyst that has grown to the size of my testicle over 5 years. My Urologist advised me to leave it alone until i have a family, because of the risk of infertility. It is so uncomfortable and is effecting my quality of life, so i have gone against his decision and opted to have it removed. How high is the risk of infertility? I don't plan on having kids until my 30's, but can't live with this uncomfortable problem for any longer.

I was told exactly the same thing, that it would be better if I wait until I have children, but the pain is also beginning to affect my quality of life and is very uncomfortable. I have done my research on the net and came accross a source that said the risk of infertility is 5/100, although the doctor advised me different, so i'm not too sure? Have you had the op yet? If so how did it go?

No not yet, i am thinking of backing out... I also have varicocele with testicle atrophy on the same side and think this is what is causing the discomfort. I have been reading about varicocele and it says that it can cause atrophy and infertility if left untreated. I really don't know what to do now.

hi I'm 27 years old and I have been trying for a baby for 6 years but no luck i did 1 ivf and took 6 cycle of clomid it didn't work.although the doctor collected 27 eggs, when she transferred she said just 2 of them left which are not in a good condition. I am not sure what is the case of my infertility. The doctor says that everything is fine with me and my husband but after ivf which is now 6 months i am losing my hair and getting fat which make me even worse.I got a lots of facial hair all over my body especially in my face,I have got very bad pain in my bouth tubes and i got eating disorder too.I'm not sure could i have fibroids in my womb or endometriosis which case my infertility. thanks

i started going out with my partner just over 2 years ago and about a year ago i had some strange discharg so we got checked out for STD's STI's and found that we both had chlamydia which was treated and about 7 months ago we decided to start trying for a baby but have not been sucsessfull, i know it isn't a long time to start worrying but i can't help worrying that i'm not going to be able to get pregnant as i know that chlamydia can cause infertility in females, we have worked it out and i think that i had it for about a year before i found out. I'm worried, please could you tell me how long you have to have chlamydia before it causes infertility. Thanks

After watching the programme i am wondering if this could be my problem. I have had a child with a previous partner no problems and fell pregnant within 3 months of coming of the pill. I have been trying to concieve with my husband for the last 5 years and have been told that we have unexplained infertility. I do not have blocked tubes and all the other tests came back as negative. I have regular periods every 26/27 days but when having sex at certain times of the month it is painful. It feels like i have been punched inside and i find it sore to sit down afterwards. My periods arent that heavy but for the first few days find it too painful to insert tampons. Could i have endometriosis and could this be causing our infertility.

I have near enough exactly the same problem.

It sounds like you may have the symptoms of a varicocele. I'm 40 and I also have this condition, and it is actually quite common - it seems to affect - typically - the left testicle. If you feel the issue on the right side, I would recommend going to your GP and verify that it will not cause you issues. They will likely want to do an ultrasound to confirm. This condition may cause some discomfort on occasion, but the biggest concern comes from the severity of the issue. In worst case scenario it can lead to infertility. What causes the infertility is the veins that you feel carry additional blood which causes additional heat in the area, and the scrotum can't expand enough to regulate the temperature effectively. The fix for this is a relatively simple surgery to remove the additional veins. After having the issue fixed you should monitor it closely as they can return.

I am very scared. I am due to have uterine artery embolisation in 3 days time. I am getting this done privately with my work health insurance. I have a fibroid which is 7cm, I had a fibroid for a long time which was the size of a pea. It has suddenly grown to the size of a tennis ball, which caused me urine retention, back pain and constipation. This is on top of my regular issues of infertility for 7 years, very heavy periods, painful intercourse and spotting between periods. I found the nhs unwilling to help for a long time. And passing me around from different departments alway telling me to lose weight. I hope this will help in my infertility and water retention and all other issues. Please email me if u have any experience in this.

i am very concerned if this can lead to infertility.i only have one partner as does she so there are no STI'S or STD'S PLEASE HELP

I went to get tested for chlamydia just by sheer chance around last year and the result was positve. My current partner hadnt been with anyone else sexually and so I knew that this was my doing. The last time I had unprotected sex was with my previous partner which was aprox 3 years previous. So I must have had Chlamydia for aprox 3 years. I havent been diagnosed with PID, but without the contaceptive pill, my cycle is irregular. Do you think I may be infertile? I asked my GP at the time if I could be,she said "a possibilty" and If I could be tested for infertility but her response was "no" to the testing and i will "not find out until after a year of tryin to conceive a child" I am nearly 21,(was diagnosed at 19)and do not want to try to conceive at this time just to see if i am fertile or not but I desperately do want kids in the near future and the thought of infertility is driving me crazy. Any advice would be sincerely apreciated.

Varicocele is usually harmless but can cause infertility if its severe. Worth chatting to you doctor just to reassure yourself.
