I am 25 and have been told I have an enlarged heart and my heart murmur has come back. I was born with a heart murmur and was due to have open heart surgery. The consultants told my mum it would close up eventually so felt surgery wasn't needed in the end. I have hospital Thursday to see the consultant. What will they do?

If you have long hair, keep it off your forehead as much as possible AND DO NOT POP THEM! Wash your face twice daily, cut out all junk food and sugary drinks and drink plenty of water. Don't get stressed :) I used to have loads of spots on my face and body but, after a few months of switching up my diet and routine, I only have a few small bacne scars.

Hi, I'm 31 and started having increased palpitations, flutters and pounding heart around 3 months ago. I am a smoker (now reduced) BMI 19 and have 2 children and work full time. Then i started to have short sharp pains just to the left of my sternum. I went to my GP who ordered an ECG which showed a previous heart attack. Since that day my symptoms have not really come back as bad, mainly mild tightness in the left side and palpitations. I did have one day where I came over with a cold shiver my heart was pounding right into my neeck and mouth which was scarey i felt like i would explode, there were some pains to my chest but not the same as the firstvtime. i felt terrible after really dizzy then just tired. A stress test was arranged as I have family history of heart problems at a young age but my stress test was fine, my heart rate was still 108 18 mins into recovery but thats all. So I guess im asking, am I ok? Was the first ECG wrong? If it was, what could be causing this?

Hey, I'm 22, and my tonsils have been inflamed for years, but I have no pain. I have noticed that they have vain like scars all over them and holes where I can squeeze pus out of, (gross I know) I spoke to a doctor and she said it was normal to have the pus and doesn't sound like tonsillitis. I catch tonsillitis frequently, and doctors never suggested having them removed, but they are now scared and constantly inflamed. Should I be concerned?

When my boyfriend was young he had an undescended testicle and had an operation to cure this. Since then his scar on his testicle has inflamed, it looks a little bit like a skin tag but is about 2cm in length and 2cm from the testicle. He won't go to the doctor's about this, but we're both worried it could be something other than an inflamed scar. Could this lead to health problems? or could this be something severe? Will this problem affect fertility?

are you depressed as this sometimes brings on attacks ask your doc about anti depressents. its not a nice feeling i know!

Hi i know it sounds daft me saying this but try not to worry about your heart beating fast because it will only make it beat faster. if the doctor says your heart is fine, trust them they know what they are on about. i have suffered from panic attacks and anxiety for 3 years now and its really awful to live with, but the bit of advice i can give you is to take up some kind of exercise such as jogging or the gym or swimming because it really helps, it releases feel good chemicals into your brain, give yourself a hobby because it takes your mind off whatever is worrying you. i started going the gym twice a week and it as done me a world of good. dont think of taking your life think of how upset your family would be you can get through this and remember your not on your own thousands of people have this problem you have x x x

I am as well 32 and since I was born I have arithmia (Tachicardie - fast heart rate) which is caused by an nerve from my heart which is extra (I was born with it) and when I was younger it was neutral but since about 5 years because I suffered quite a lot amount of stress it became active and I have times when my heart just jumps out of rithm and goes to 200 per minute or more!! The doctors gave me pills to slow down my heart rate but those give me cramos in my heart when I take them daily! ___ Any heart condition/disease is difficult to handle___ Sometimes you must learn to live with it because there is no other way. Controling the amount of stress and trying to live a calm life can help!! Good luck to all of you!! :)

Is it after you exercise? I had a really high heart one stage it was 140bpm then 170bpm and only every went down to 120bpm when resting along with the same symptoms as you, so I think you should get this checked at your doctor for any abnormalities. They picked up a quite and serious heart murmur which related to a much larger problem. I also had open heart surgery due to this, if anyone needs any help or questions about it.Thanks, tell me how it all goes.

Hi am 32 years old My heart Started beating in funny way so I had to go see my doctor So My doctor Said to me you have a heart mumrm I panicked he told me don't worry you could live with it and We'll be treated So I went to the hospital They had to make a little in My left leg And they put the device all away from my leg to my heart And close the little hole Since the day My heart Became normal Living my life Without worrying any more So please anyone's got the same problem see the doctor as soon as possible I know is not dangerous you could live with it but it's better to be treated before you get age 45 Thank you for listening

Hi I have had a a few hospital visits for this recently, started off as an infection but then my heart was pouding and felt like a panic attack. It was palpitations and today I have been told this is secondary to ventricular ectopics. They have give me a sedative to calm my racing heart and will be having a follow up echocardiagram and 24 hour tape shortly. Anxiety is a big player in this so I suspect they will be treating this soon.

hello, my boyfriend had an operation on his testicles when he was a young boy and for 4 years now the scar has been inflamed. I am 16 years old and have severe health anxiety, I can't sleep, constantly checking my symptoms and thinking its the worst possible thing. I'm terrified with the thought of dying and I am mainly worried about my heart as I get skipped heart beats many times a day and this just makes my anxiety worse and makes me feel really depressed. I Have had tests done but I find it hard to believe what the doctors are telling me and I am convinced I have a heart problem.

Hey,ive been recently diagnosed with a heart murmur.I have been told to stay away from stimulants such as food colouring :red and yellow mostly, and caffine. My pulse rate suddenly goes incredibly fast and i feel light headed and like im going to faint if I get hiccups. My mum was serioucly worried when she could feel my heart beat was very strong and very fast. I was just wondering if this kind of heart murmur might be dangerous to me?

I'm lobbing my 2p's worth here - as it currently stands do you keep a health diary? I'd recommend this to everyone even though it can be a pain the arse to maintain.Remember the more information you can provide to your Gp the better chance they have to help. There are things that you can do to help - and this goes for the all the lettuce munchers out there: It doesn't matter whether you much on a steak or on a cauliflower your body knows when it's ready to work. From my experience only (everyone has their own body clock) there are certain times through the day that this issue doesn't affect you - think of it as a sleep pattern - your body has a digestive plan and it may not coincide with what you want and that's where body training comes in and that all comes down to you. I'd look to retraining your body - mentally.Start by setting a definitive breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper of that's how your body is going - but once your body knows that schedule it should only produce acid in anticipation of the forthcoming meal.It might help but re-training your body and it's schedule might help. There's no guarantee but keep a diary and the folks here updated as they could benefit but overall keep in contact with your gp.

My face has been a massive problem to me since I was 25, I am now 34. It started with red patches under my eyes which were itchy and inflamed. After going to the doctors and being prescribed different topical solutions I asked to be referred to a specialist. He originally thought I had SEBERORIC DERMITITIS and prescribed me some cream, after 3 weeks of use it had no effect. On returning he diagnosed me with having ROSACEA and gave me Metronidazole to apply to my face. For the following 2 years I was inflammation free up until 6 weeks ago. My face had flared up again twice as bad, metronidazole cream was no longer working so I went back to the doctors who prescribed me many other Rosacea type treatments ie Tetracycline oral antibiotics, Azelaic 15% gel, erythromycin antibiotics and zinc supplements, all of which did not help. My skin is constantly dry around my eyes and on my forehead and my neck and it is extremely itchy. Further to this I have noticed that when I am embarrassed or anxious my heart beats ten times faster, my face goes bright red and hot so much so it feels like its going to explode and I pour with sweat from my face. This in turn irritates my skin and I'm left with a red blotchy and inflamed face. If there is anyone reading this who might be able to shed some light on the subject PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU get in touch!!!

As far as I know the only succesfull treatment for rosacea is laser treatment which can reduce the redness by 70%, but it is £250 a session and am unsure if the nhs will foot the bill. I am 35 and have had the condition for 20 years laser treatment is the latest breakthrough.

Hi I'm 19 and I ended up noticing something in the shower today. I ended up finding a heart shaped mole on the left side of my sack. Should I see a doctor or something? I've never seen a heart shaped mole and it kinda bugs me. When I'm in the shower I can tell its clearly a heart but if I were to check in my room or something it'd look like a regular mole.
