If you have long hair, keep it off your forehead as much as possible AND DO NOT POP THEM! Wash your face twice daily, cut out all junk food and sugary drinks and drink plenty of water. Don't get stressed :) I used to have loads of spots on my face and body but, after a few months of switching up my diet and routine, I only have a few small bacne scars.

Hey, I'm 22, and my tonsils have been inflamed for years, but I have no pain. I have noticed that they have vain like scars all over them and holes where I can squeeze pus out of, (gross I know) I spoke to a doctor and she said it was normal to have the pus and doesn't sound like tonsillitis. I catch tonsillitis frequently, and doctors never suggested having them removed, but they are now scared and constantly inflamed. Should I be concerned?

When my boyfriend was young he had an undescended testicle and had an operation to cure this. Since then his scar on his testicle has inflamed, it looks a little bit like a skin tag but is about 2cm in length and 2cm from the testicle. He won't go to the doctor's about this, but we're both worried it could be something other than an inflamed scar. Could this lead to health problems? or could this be something severe? Will this problem affect fertility?

Ive had a number of left knee issues associated with the Lateral Meniscus, and in 7 operations Ive had a Menaflex and a Allograft of the LM. Through all this Ive developed arthritis in the Lateral Compartment and have been taking Diclofenic now for approx 2 years 2 tablets of 50mg 2 x per day. My Question is can taking Diclofenic affect kidney or Liver Function because during a recent medical Ive had raised Creatine Levels? Its been commented by a Doctor friend that a side effect can be organ damage to the Kidneys and Liver and if so is there an alternative to Doclofenic thats works but doesnt cause the same issues?

Hi, I've always had extremely heavy and regular on time periods. I got mono a month ago at the same time as my period and developed a secondary infection on my throat and liver too. Since I developed mono I've been bleeding everyday, especially during sexual activity. I have sharp pains ranging from my hips to my uterus/cervix (sometimes sex can hurt depending on the position) and its getting frustrating because I'm spending so much money on tampons and pads. Could it be that it's from my liver and spleen being swollen or is it something else? I'd be grateful for any advice I can get on this as my doctor keeps telling me to wait another week and make another appointment every week.

Talk to your doctor! They do regular tests on your liver function precisely because of this issue. If they see problems, they will try another medication. You will not know if you are controlling your diabetes by diet alone unless you test - and I mean four times a day at least, if you are not taking any medication. You need to know that they are not going above a certain amount because if they are, your body is being damaged by the high levels. You will end up with far more complications than liver problems. Please start with your doctor, they may tell you to eat too many carbs, but at least they will be able to monitor your liver function. Good luck

Who thinks it's a liver problem? I heard it from 1 doctor and had 6 months liver treatment, after which it stopped spreading for 7 years. Unfortunately it started growing again together with other problems like heavy periods, bleeding between periods, tiredness, low libido, acne, itchy skin. I feel in my guts that it's liver, but my blood tests show only low level of leukocytes. 7 years ago liver tests results were normal as well but on the scan it was quite fatty. Or maybe some hormones are to blame?

Hi, Vitiligo is an auto immune system disorder, nothing to do with your liver. Vitiligo is not physically harmful in anyway at all. Because you have vitiligo this certinelly does not mean you have any issues with any other organ other than your skin! I've had vitiligo for about 4 years and it appeared for nowhere! It's hard to deal with especially when it's on your face but you can cover itif it's bothers you too much! I tried a cream called Tacrolimus this was prescribed and the pigment returned on my face but did not clear the vitiligo in any other area!

Hello, I have the condition known as fatty liver. My Serum Gamma GT levels was 75iu/L on 2.02.2009, 81iu/L on 21.12.09 and 106iu/L on 14.06.10. My GP said the ultrasound scan on my liver carried out on 14.01.10 was normal and since then no actions were carried out. I'm worried that I may contract liver dieases if these levels keep on increasing. I am an occassional drinker, drink very rarely indeed and a non-smoker. Please advise. Many thanks

Hey man, I'm 26 and I saw a dermatologist in Thailand about the same spots. He referred to them as Tyson glands aka fordyce spots. His advice was leave them alone! Try taking vitamin A tablets (watch your liver, as it can do damage to it) if worried about your liver, have a LFT (liver function test). But your still young so it shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps! Trust me, I worrird for yrs about it!! untill I saw him and he was smart and had seen all kinds of stuff in the past and we are normal and heaps of guys are living with it. Peace'

I had the same problem, especially during my time of the month. Go to a pharmacy or a health store and get "dessicated liver" capsules. I found the ones in a gel capsule with the dried liver powder inside work best - you may have to find those on the internet. Solved the problem almost immediately - it was amazing to me! A woman Doctor gave me this information years ago.

This sounds like gall stones are partially blocking your bile duct and stopping the normal flow of bile, so your poo is paler or yellowish, your urine would also be darker than usual. Feeling tired and also some itching and nausea are also symptoms because your liver function is poor. This can also be caused by the gallstones: the bile can't get out of the bile duct properly so causes back pressure in the liver, which reabsorbs some of chemicals from the bile into the liver and then into the blood stream. I suffered badly from this - it is called cholestasis - until my gall bladder was removed. But beware, the op is not a cure all and I still. Ate stones that partly block my bile duct now and then and have had to have several procedures and medication to stay well. Go back to your Gp and insist on a referral to a gastroenterologist at your hospital for scans and blood tests and a proper consultation.

i have got little red lumps on my arms and legs i am itchy all over and i have no idea what's could be wrong my doctor has given me creams to try but it has not helped at all it had in fact made it even worse than it was in the 1st place i have been for a blood test and he is not sure himself on what's wrong i have to have another test done in a month with blood on my liver as he recons its my liver function

Hello all! Have had psoriasis for the last year and a half and got it out of the blue! no one else in my family suffers or has any form of it. after doing lots of research on - line and reading books and speaking to professionals in alternative health it seems that a main route cause of psoriasis is an over-load of toxins in your liver and causes your liver to get stressed when it has to break down the toxins. so the frist step i took was to detox my liver, i did this by taking a herbal tea called flo essence at nighttime. Along with the rest of my research a doctor in america called Dr.Connolly recommended in his books that you should give up all pork products! I did this and hey presto my psoriasis cleared up on my back. To help then keep my skin hydrated and healthy looking i take Udo's capsules with my food every day. I have not looked back since! :)

Hi I have been diagnosed with a fungal infection on my toe nails. I had been on a course of strong medication for 3 months but the problem has not cleared up and they want me to carry on for at least another six months. I know the drug has a possible side effect of liver damage and was wondering if there are any less extreme methods of treatment. I don't want to loose my toe nails but I also don't want to damage my liver!!

Hello, I am 18 and when i was 17 i contracted the Genital warts virus. I did no know until there was tiny lump around my anus and vagina. I went to my local GUM clinic and they froze them three times, they are only small and the freezing did not work. They then put me on the Aldara cream which they rarely give out. I have a liver problem which is caused by my immune system attacking my liver so i am on tablets to supress my immune system. the cream however causes my immune system to react with the warts to fight them. I have now stopped the treatment myself after being on the thrid months treatment and not seeing any differences. It has killed me emotionally and physically and my sex life is non existent. I have had them for 6 months and do not know who i caught them off. I wilkl be asking my liver doctor if he has any suggestions as to what i can do but otherwise than that i will have them for life as my body is under so much stress already.

hello, my boyfriend had an operation on his testicles when he was a young boy and for 4 years now the scar has been inflamed. I'm worried incase this could be something other than an inflamed scar and although it doesn't bother him, whether it will be affecting him internally? Please help, he won't go to the doctors about it and i would prefer to know if there is any major risks.

I recently had itchy body and it was terrible during that time I take fruits much a lot and I eat a lot of rice.at first I never knew my problem was serious I thought the itching was going to last for a week then I observed that anytime I take fruits I was in trouble or too much carbohydrate I had to suffer for that so I stopped all together and it worked .I was really curious so made alote of research and realise that this itchy body can mainly be cause by LIVER problem and even doctors don't know.the liver do 500different function in the body so itching was a sign of the liver not feeling well I started treatment of lemon juice garlic and carrot every morning and am fine although on e in a while it triggers its not that serious I change alot of diets stop eating white rice To brown rice I avoided sugar all together and am fine

Sometimes DSAP is mistakenly diagnosed as Dermal Lupus, a different disease entirely. I am a nurse who cared for a patient who was erroneously diagnosed and treated with INH for dermal lupus for a year. The INH knocked out her liver and left her immunosuppressed and susceptible to infection. She was ineligible for a liver transplant for the liver failure because she acquired an aspirgillis infection in her lungs from the immunosuppression. She died young. Her arms looked JUST like mine. My sister also received a diagnosis of dermal lupus with an offer from her MD of treatment with INH. I told her to ask for that proverbial second opinion which came back DSAP. (She had refused the INH because you have to give up beer; good thing she kept drinking!) Anyway, tell friends to be sure of their diagnosis! I am certain mine is DSAP; I raise a toast to you!
