hi, i am 42 yrs old, i have one child who is 9, and i would like to know if there is anything that can be done about my problem. For quite some time now, i have had problems with my vagina, mainly inside. During intercourse i have very little sensitivity around that area, and also if i laugh hard or cough i can sometimes loose some urine. This is causing me problems now, as i will not go out with friends as i am bothered about weeing myself and also it is causing problems within my marriage as i will do my best to avoid intercourse, as i just dont enjoy it anymore. I have been to see my GP about this, but all i was given was some exercises and some cream to try, which didnt help at all, and if anything just made me more frustrated, please help as this may be my last resort, thankyou

I am 26 years old and have been with my boyfriend now for a little over 2 years. I started have problems about 3 or 4 months ago where I was loosing a lot of weight I got an infection and my Cervical problems came back. Prior to all this my discharge was normal and consistant and when we would have intercourse there was plenty to lubricate. Now for about 3 months especially since I have had my infection and have been treated, my discharge has somewhat dried up and when I start to have intercourse, it seems that there is not enough. Is there anything that I can do because I am worried about this.

Don't feel uncomfortable ! Boys don't notice all our insecurities. I think because you're not relaxed, you're tensing which will lead to sex being sore. The bleeding is likely because of lack of lubrication. Try using lube and if that doesn't work, go to your Gp. Hope this helped :)

hi, im 18, whilst my penis is flacid i can fully retract the foreskin over the head of my penis easily,i have no hygeine problems with it, all is good and well part from when i have an erection it causes real discomfort and pain when i pull it back over over the head and it sits really tight and in a painful umcomfortable manner under the head when pulled back. im having problems during intercourse because of this, i do not want to go to my local doctor as i am embarressed.

hi im 27 and have the same problem as you and recently had a frenuloplasty operation to try and correct this im still healing so dont know if it has worked yet take the leap and go see your gp get back to me if you need more info!

i have this problem too, im 15 though so i am wondering if maybe it will go away, i doubt it though, i am also too scared to go to the GP

Hi, I've been having a problem for quite some time now. According to my doctor there's nothing I can do about it, but I hope there are solutions... The problem is, everytime I have intercourse my vagina tears open. I've never had children, so this can't be the cause. It also doesn't matter how wet I am, how big/small the penis is or how wild/tender the intercourse is. Last time it was pretty severe and the crack was 2cm long and about 1-2mm deep. I really want to enjoy intercourse again, but this is really getting in the way. It even has an influence on my self esteem... Are there any things I can do?

Hi Guy If you can cum when you masturbate then there's nothing wrong down there. The most likely cause is stress or performance anxiety. It happened to me last year after I got my partner pregnant. We eventually decided on a termination, but it tore me apart, then for the next three months, no matter how much we tried I couldn't cum during sex. Loads of things can trigger stress, so you need to find (along with your girlfriend)a way of relaxing. I used hypnotism which worked for me, but may not be for everyone. Obviously, if you can't cum during masturbation either, you should consult your doctor.

someone please help.. ive had an itch down below, discharge and very very very painful intercourse for about 8months now, ive been to the doctor about 4 times, ive been tested for everything and the only thing they can find is thrush. ive tried every type of over the counter thrust treatment out there, and my doc has had me on oral tablets once a week for 3 months now and there is no change, it clears up for a day and comes back and evn in that day intercourse is so painful. i actually dont know what to do anymore im completely losing faith in my doctor. please help ps.. when its intercourse its only painful around the enterance

hey there, im fourteen and i hava a few problems down there, I've been worried about these problems since i started exploring myself, a few months ago. The first issue is that there is white flesh around my vaginal hole, and it looks like a little dome, it isnt blocking the hole, but it sort of goes around it, and makes it difficult to get inside.. It doesn't hurt, but it looks unnatractive... the second problem is that i think i may have BV (bacterial vaganosis) my vagina has quite a fishy smell, it's quite disgusting... I haven't had any sexual intercourse before, but i did douche in the past, which I've heard is a course of BV. Finally, i do not feel any sensation when i put fingers in myself, i am extremely tight, and can only put one finger in, it gets quite sore if i try to put two in... thanks. :) xx

i have the same issue, :( only about the dome thing in the vaginal opening, but i can get 4 fingers in, :/

Hey not sure about your dome reference but try googling pictures of vaginas you may find its normal. re: sensation, it doesnt really feel like much normally , especially when your not with someone. The only spot that feels much sensation is called a g spot about 5cm inside. Again , google it : ) At your age your likely to be 'tight' as your young and not aroused and relaxed as you would be if experiencing it with someone. Use lubricant if needed. Get the smell checked out is all I can say, it wont go away on its own if it is a bacterial thing..hopr this helps

Dont worry, the dome thing your discribing is your hymen. which is a skin that covers the opening of your vagina, every girl has it if you have never had sex before. before i did i could only insert one finger and even doing that was painful. the first time will be painful but after that the hymen breaks and it will be gone. dont worry about BV its very common just go see your gp and they will tell you how to treat it. You sound totally normal:)

You are NORMAL ..... I am just the same as you (one massive long inner labia, and one smaller one). As a nurse, I have seen all sorts of differing labia sizes, and ALL are normal. My husband just loves mine.

If its not broken dont fix it as you could end up with worse problems , believe me when you do have sex the last thing that will be on your partners mind will be your labia . I have a large labia and find it bulges out of my pants but i would rather have that than problems i could have after surgery .

im 26 years old and i have problems when having sexual intercourse i get a very bad pain in my stomach and i bleed during intercourse i have also noticed lumps on the lower left side of my stomach (inside) ive been to see a doctor about the lumps before but just gave me antibiotics for 2 weeks but they havent made any difference can you help me in what to do next please???

Hi, I'm 16 and have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years now, for the past 2 and a half weeks I've noticed bleeding sometimes during intercourse and spots of blood during the following few days. I have been on the contreceptive pill for over 2 years now and have never had problems with spotting before. I don't feel its an infection as I've noticed no other differences or problems since this has been happening. We have never had problems with sex before. I'm not sure what to do and the worrying is starting to get me down, Any advice or help would be highly appreciated, thankyou.

Mr husband has erection problems and is issued with viagra 100mg by the Doctor but lately we have found that after taking a tablet the erection does not last either to continue to full intercourse or if he manages to begin intercourse he ejaculates within 5 mins. This is causing us a problem and he feels very deflated even to the point where he feels should he go back to the GP and consider having an injection which he has heard about!!! Thanks

as we all know erections are caused by an increase in blood flow, common problems which can interefere with this process can be smoking, hypertension and high cholesterol. I had an episode where this happened, I simply went running several times a week to improve my cardio and found that solved my problem. Give that a try, also perhaps reduce cholesterol intake and smoking if that applies to you. Failing to get an erection can have a big impact on the way you think about yourself, a lot of sexual dysfunctions relate to psychological problems which, in your case, could be anxiety about maintaining an erection, so try to relax and be more confident in your ability also

hi im am 19 and have a lot of sex with my partner on a regular basis though i have no problems with getting erect or ejaculating or orgasms just towards the build up to ejaculation i produce a fair bit of precum is this normal and are there any ways to reduce the amount, i know its there as a self lubricant and its not causing any problems for myself or my partner during foreplay or sexual intercourse just concerned at the amount

Hello I was cut during the birth of my son over 40 years ago and now I am in my mid 60's I have been having problems with the skin splitting at the entrance to my vagina when I have intercourse [using Sylk lubricant] or go to the toilet. I have used hormone cream which works but dont like using artificial drugs on my body. I had a surgical repair earlier this year but has not solved the problem. They said to come back if I had any more problems but I dont want to have the operation again. Can you suggest any other option please?

i think i may have vulvodynia, i'm 18 years old and in the past year or so i have found intercourse so painful its basically impossible. I've had the same partner for 4 years now and have no problems till last year. I kept going to the doctors and telling them, have smear tests and all sorts all negative then after 3 months they said i have erosion of the cervix (nothing has yet been done) they said they would arrange laser treatment but its not harmful. Then they said i had Endometreosis so i had the op, and thing still the same. i get a burning and stinging sensation when inserting and having intercourse. i've tried everything and don't no what else to do, my doctor just keeps giving me smear tests and saying its thrush. do you think this may be the problem??

Again you could have a split, I had a really similar problem, same partner, but sudden stinging pain. The doctor kept telling me it was thrush, but when I went to a gynae she saw a really tiny split in the vaginal opening. It can be caused by having sex whilst having thrush, though you may not be aware you had thrush. It's definitely worth looking into.

In December 2007 I started to have pain during intercourse. I went to my GP who sent me and my partner for STI testing, these results came back clear. I was then referred to a gyneocologist, who diagnosed me with Vestibulitis. I had a procedure done named a Vestibulectomy which was unsuccessful. The consultant that I was seeing done another procedure to remove some inflammed vulval tissue which was also unsuccessful. As I was still having problems with intercourse she then referred me to a Colposcopy consultant who also removed some inflammed vulval tissue which she had not removed. He also injected me with anaesethic which lasted only a few weeks. They have recently diagnosed me with vulval dermititis and given me Dermovate to apply to the vulval area twice daily. I'm experiencing swelling during and after intercourse. I'm finding this is not helping and thinking about getting a second opinion. This has caused great strain on my relationship. I would be grateful for your input/help regardin this

I am amazed you were given such a strong steroid as dermovate for vestibulitis treatment! Even a dermatologist would shudder at using this on such a sensitive area.

i have been with my partner now for about one month he is separated and has not had sex in over 3 years when it comes to sex he can get an erection but cant get hard enough to have intercourse in the past he said he had no problems but its been a while since he last had sex.is there anything you can recomend please.

I would need a more comprehensive sexual history before knowing what to suggest. First of all, how old are you? How long have you been having sex? Is this erectile problem something new or has it always been this way? If there was a change, then how long ago did that change happen? Were there any other significant changes in your life at the time (or your partner's life)? Have you always been with the same partner or is this a new partner? Have there been any changes in your partner (such as getting old, putting on weight, getting pregnant, etc.)? You may need to see a certified sex therapist to get to the bottom of what's going on with you.

I suffered a prolapse after my 2nd child. I had medical treatment but this was not explained to me and seemd to involve just pushing it back in and the advice from a male doctor to have frequent intercourse! This was 18 years ago and I have had no further problems. My marriage ended 5 years ago and I have been with my current partner for 4 years. We have an extremely active and enjoyable sex life but I worry that as I get older the prolapse may reappear and cause problems. Is this likley? I am 49.

Hi. My boyfriend has a severely curved penis. It is bent upwards like a banana at a 90 degree angle. Will it cause us problems during intercourse?
