A heart murmur is an extra sound heard in your heartbeat, usually only audible over a doctor's stethoscope. Read more →

Hi! I'm 14 yrs old and I've been having a urine-leaking problem since birth. It's different from any other leaking cause I've read because even if I'm not excited or laughing or nervous I still leak a lot-it's like I peed. My sister's theory is that my external sphincter is not working properly. What best treatment(s) can I do to stop the leaking? Would I have to undergo surgery? What questions could I ask my doctor to help me?

I am 25 and have been told I have an enlarged heart and my heart murmur has come back. I was born with a heart murmur and was due to have open heart surgery. The consultants told my mum it would close up eventually so felt surgery wasn't needed in the end. I have hospital Thursday to see the consultant. What will they do?

hi am 21 weeks pregnant and this is happening to me aswell i have to change my underwear 3 times a day i spoke to my midwife and she says its normal as long as its not itchy which mines isnt , speak to ur midwife.

Hey there. Just to clear things up, I am a 14 year old, with, well, only 1 'full' masturbation session (last week) on my record. Problem is, I experience semen leaking randomly at least once a day, leaving to ugly + horrible marks on underwear and pyjamas (How old fashioned of me). Probably a side-effect, I struggle not to get a hard-on if I see anything I find attractive. Any help on how to stop the leaking? (I can deal with the other thing)

Mansturbate more... not joking, try it out

Are you sure that you are leaking semen and not precum? When I get semi erect I leak allot of precum. Precum thinner than semen and it's clear. One time when I was going commando, I got a wet spot on the front of my cargo shorts. Now I mostly wear briefs. They are thicker than boxers and absorb fluids better.

I am 19 now, and have masturbated since I was about 11 years old(about 6 days a week). What I notice, and what really bothers me now is that I have to wear thin pads to stop the leaking, and the smell that comes with it. I can get a jerk through my vagina at random days and even when I'm normally walking. It's really unpleasant and the leaking is everyday. I have never had sex before, I am really embarrassed about this, and I don't want to undress with a pad in my panties, at least not in front of others. I don't have my period regularly, since I'm not on the pill and refuse to be. I just really want to know what to do since it's bothering me so much.

Hi, I'm 31 and started having increased palpitations, flutters and pounding heart around 3 months ago. I am a smoker (now reduced) BMI 19 and have 2 children and work full time. Then i started to have short sharp pains just to the left of my sternum. I went to my GP who ordered an ECG which showed a previous heart attack. Since that day my symptoms have not really come back as bad, mainly mild tightness in the left side and palpitations. I did have one day where I came over with a cold shiver my heart was pounding right into my neeck and mouth which was scarey i felt like i would explode, there were some pains to my chest but not the same as the firstvtime. i felt terrible after really dizzy then just tired. A stress test was arranged as I have family history of heart problems at a young age but my stress test was fine, my heart rate was still 108 18 mins into recovery but thats all. So I guess im asking, am I ok? Was the first ECG wrong? If it was, what could be causing this?

So one day my mom had to rush off to work and I had to finish washing my baby brother whose 5 months old and when I got him out of the tub we latched on to my breast because apparently he was hungry. But at the time I was wearing a tank top and no bra because I had just gotten up. So what happened was I pulled him off and I started uncontrollably leaking breast milk all over. I got him dressed and put him to sleep and for the next ten minutes I was trying to stop from leaking milk. When I finally got it to stop i changed my wet clothes and cleaned up. I thought everything was fine and that the baby had just somehow made my breasts start leaking. But the next day when I heard from crying for food my breasts started leaking again. Also another problem is that I heard how when ladies who had just had their babies leak milk when babies are crying but I've never had sex so its weird. Also women who breast feed have rapid breast growth and I think its happening to me because last week when the first incident happened I was a large C cup but now I'm a small D cup I don't know what to do about the leakage or the breast growth can someone please give me good advice on how to stop this without having to go to the doctor. thank you for helping.

I am as well 32 and since I was born I have arithmia (Tachicardie - fast heart rate) which is caused by an nerve from my heart which is extra (I was born with it) and when I was younger it was neutral but since about 5 years because I suffered quite a lot amount of stress it became active and I have times when my heart just jumps out of rithm and goes to 200 per minute or more!! The doctors gave me pills to slow down my heart rate but those give me cramos in my heart when I take them daily! ___ Any heart condition/disease is difficult to handle___ Sometimes you must learn to live with it because there is no other way. Controling the amount of stress and trying to live a calm life can help!! Good luck to all of you!! :)

About 3 years ago, and always suffered with High Blood Pressure. I am high wired for want of a description and always on alert (my nature, nothing to do with illness). My female doctor advised me to try and calm down and suggested some tablets called Serenity. I purchased these tablets and one day suffered an Arrhythmia attack which scared the living out of me, this attack lasted for 30 hours so off to hospital I went and couldn't come up with a reason but suggested tablets as bogus. I still don't know whether or not these did the attack but since have been to Cardiologist which said I had leaking heart valves and the Arrhythmia not dangerous. To date I have had numerous attacks and ended up with a heart attack in which a blood clot found it's way to my major artery. Hospital doctors tell me it could be the blood pooling in the bottom of the heart which thickened and caused the clot. So please don't take these attacks lightly and get on to blood thinners pronto (which I am on now). I have had a stent and feeling okay now but nothing should be taken lightly and get 2nd opinions if not happy.

I'm 19 years old, two years ago my breasts started leaking milk, i was so embarrased, i left it 4 a year and told no1. I could cope with it as it only happened during my period. I finally told my mom and went 2 the doctors, i had a blood test and my prolactin hormone level was extremly high, i was referred to the hospital, i met with my consultant who asked many questions about my periods, health, moods. She diagnosed me with a benign tumour (prolactinoma) on my prituitary gland i was sent 4 a brain and heart scan and was put on hormone tablets (cabergoline) after 6months of treatment the leaking has stopped but i wil b monitored by the hospital 4 upto 5 years. Its hard bcz my hormones are mixed up but i count myself lucky its a benign tumour (non-cancerous) Girls don't be embarrassed, GET IT CHECKED OUT..! x x x

Leaking sometimes is normal. That helps you so you don't get invections or bacteria down there. If you get a really bad smell or you leak all the time see your family doctor. Don't worry or listen to what your mom says. You are ok. I have that too. Lol my friends also. Just means you are healthy.

Linda, I hope that you read this, you are NOT alone! I had saline breast implants put in back in 1992, and after 7 yrs., my health started falling apart. I could barely get out of bed to go from Dr. To Dr.-even the Mayo Clinic told me that there was no way my implants were making me sick. How could they possibly know that? I know several women that paid thousand of dollars to be in the new silicone implant study for Mentor, but we're dropped from the study when they complained of health issues. I never would have believed that if I had not spoken to these women myself. It made me think that the research on implants might be dishonest. After three years of searching for answers, I finally found a large group of women with implants (2,800!) on- line that were having all my same symptoms. I actually wept from relief. When I had them removed, there was a faulty valve in one of them, and mold growing in it. I sent them to a pathologist to have them examined. That was 10'yrs. ago, and I am still healing. Please try and get them out as soon as you can. I will keep you in my prayers. Please look up Facebook groups on breast implant healing. Love, Daryl

Is it after you exercise? I had a really high heart one stage it was 140bpm then 170bpm and only every went down to 120bpm when resting along with the same symptoms as you, so I think you should get this checked at your doctor for any abnormalities. They picked up a quite and serious heart murmur which related to a much larger problem. I also had open heart surgery due to this, if anyone needs any help or questions about it.Thanks, tell me how it all goes.

Hi am 32 years old My heart Started beating in funny way so I had to go see my doctor So My doctor Said to me you have a heart mumrm I panicked he told me don't worry you could live with it and We'll be treated So I went to the hospital They had to make a little in My left leg And they put the device all away from my leg to my heart And close the little hole Since the day My heart Became normal Living my life Without worrying any more So please anyone's got the same problem see the doctor as soon as possible I know is not dangerous you could live with it but it's better to be treated before you get age 45 Thank you for listening

Hey I'm nearly 16 and a couple of years ago my moms brother was in the hospital and they found out he had a eptopic heartbeat. Recently, they have found out my mom has something badly wrong with her heart and the blood doesn't get to her heart and the arteries are blocked she now has to keep going back and forth to the hospital and I'm scared my heart isn't right because my mom thinks it runs in the family. Help!

If you are not pregnant and both breasts are leaking you could have a hormone problem. I had that at 20 and found out I had an underactive thyroid. Dont be afraid - go and see your doctor as leaking breast is not normal. Nearly all my hair fell out before I went to the doctor so dont ignore it!

Hi I have had a a few hospital visits for this recently, started off as an infection but then my heart was pouding and felt like a panic attack. It was palpitations and today I have been told this is secondary to ventricular ectopics. They have give me a sedative to calm my racing heart and will be having a follow up echocardiagram and 24 hour tape shortly. Anxiety is a big player in this so I suspect they will be treating this soon.

Im a 26 year old female, for the past year or so Ive been leaking urine - everyday. Enough for my underwear to be wet and a wet patch on my trousers often. I have an oder down there too. I dont feel myself leaking unless Ive sneezed or coughed. Ive never told anyone, let alone seeked advice. Im embarrassed!! Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated. Please!

I am 16 years old and have severe health anxiety, I can't sleep, constantly checking my symptoms and thinking its the worst possible thing. I'm terrified with the thought of dying and I am mainly worried about my heart as I get skipped heart beats many times a day and this just makes my anxiety worse and makes me feel really depressed. I Have had tests done but I find it hard to believe what the doctors are telling me and I am convinced I have a heart problem.

It is certainly possible that you are lactating without ever having been pregnant; a quick Internet search for "stimulating lactation outside of pregnancy" will yield quite a lot of information. That said, there is a low possibility of any of several medical problems, and you really should consult with your GP doctor or OB/GYN. Certain medications can induce a discharge which isn't necessarily milk. In the meantime, wear looser top clothing, and avoid stimulating your breasts, to reduce leakage.

Hi, you don't say how old you are but I would say that the milk production could be a symptom of something else and what happened may be a coincidence. Think about your monthly menstruation, is it regular? I would suggest you go to your GP for a full endocrine blood screening. This is very important. You must rule out some very crucial issues relating to your health and at this stage a full blood screen maybe the safest option. I hope you get sorted Kind regards

Hey,ive been recently diagnosed with a heart murmur.I have been told to stay away from stimulants such as food colouring :red and yellow mostly, and caffine. My pulse rate suddenly goes incredibly fast and i feel light headed and like im going to faint if I get hiccups. My mum was serioucly worried when she could feel my heart beat was very strong and very fast. I was just wondering if this kind of heart murmur might be dangerous to me?
