Hi I have had weight loss surgery and lost 9 stone 9lb's, however since losing the weight, I now have excess skin on my stomach and due to weight loss on my breasts they are very saggy and to add insult to injury have inverted nipples which seem to have got worse since the weight loss, I am unsure whether or not to apply to my GP as I don't know if the NHS would allow this.

I'm a 33 year old female with no sexual feelings at all. I don't feel any arousal or desire and I have never done so. I've tried masturbating and using toys and still nothing. It only ever feels like something is inside me, there are no feelings of pleasure. I don't know what's wrong with me and I'm tired of missing out! I'm not trying too hard, I don't have any hang ups about my body, I don't see sex as being wrong or dirty. I'm healthy in all other aspects. I have a daughter and was like this before I had her. I'm in a relationship and like previous relationships, I haven't told my partner I feel nothing but just go through the motions. My body responds to sex in that I do get wet, but that's it. Nothing else apart from the feel of something there! It's the same for clitoral stimulation, to be honest I just feel ticklish there..oral sex does nothing for me either. I've tried researching this online and I only ever find the same info - about losing libido or being nervous and suggestions about relaxing. But this isn't what is wrong with me - it's not a loss of libido as I've never felt any sexual feelings. It's not me being uptight or needing to relax. I've absolutely zero sexual feelings both physically and emotionally but I don't want to be like it! Has anyone ever heard of this before? I'm trying to pluck up the courage to see my GP but the only female GP there happens to be the mother of my daughter's friend so I feel quite uncomfortable discussing this with someone who I sort of know - I know GPs are confidential but it would still be embarrassing to see them out of 'work'. Thanks x

Have your testosterone level checked. This is definitely a hormonal issue, and that's probably the hormone that's low. Being "horny" is like being drunk. Now how much sense would getting drunk make if you had no alcohol in your system? About the same amount of sense as sex is making to you right now.

I have this exact same issue and always have. I have been to three Gynaecologists and they have all told me that it's just in my head and that I need to learn to relax. This just makes me irratated and upset. I really want some help on this issue as well. Boyfriends don't understand the issue properly and some have dumped me or cheated on me and told me that it's because they can't satisfy me.

I am a 19 year old male my symptoms for nearly the past year is that i have hair loss and hair thinning but it is accompanied by a daily itch on my scalp especially on the top of my scalp and sometime it intensifies so much causes me to feel very depressed and whenever i try to relive the itch it pains. Also when my scalp is itching my scalp appears red ton the whole top of my scalp. i have been to my doctor, a dermotologist and a qualified tricologist at the institute of tricology and they all say different things to me. my dermotologist say's i have folliculitus and androgennic Alopecia but the ticologist say's that i do NOT have male pattern baldness as i am also have thinning and hair loss on the sides of my scalp and on the back but says that i have telegon effluviam. This is all well an said but they don't seem to deal with the scalp pain and tenderness that i am going through. On another note whenever there an itch there is hair loss as well, i also seem to be losing hair from my eye brows and eye lashes and my eyes seem to always itch and sting whenever i try touch them after i have touched my hair. I have also been told that my hair seems to look very crimpled as well whereby it looks unhealthy and that some hair are easily broken if thats any help. on another note when looking at my hair strands as one does when being worried about hair loss my hair is noticibly thinner near the root tip then the top og the hair strand is this normal?

Hi, I'm 19 yr old female and when I just turned 15 I was diagnosed with a Underactive Thyroid. Before I was diagnosed I noticed that I tired all day and hair loss. My hair would fall out in clumps when I brush my hair and wash it. Went to my GP and the perscribed me with Levothyroxine tablets with a dosage of 25 micrograms. As the years gone on I've seen a huge increase of hair loss and no growth of the hairs. I've tried hair pieces, wigs and massaging my head everyday to help the hair growth but nothing has worked yet. I have made many apppointments with my GP to see if I can get an increase on my medication but I've been told that 25 micrograms is the right amount for me. I've had have a appointment with a Dermatologist but I had no help to find out why my hair is not growing. 4 years of continuing hair loss has took its toll on me, I would like to find some way of making my hair grow, please can you help me??

Hi - I am 46 year old female who over the last 2 years has completely lost any sign of sexual arousal. A nurse at my doctor's surgery suggested Vagifem but my doctor refused to perscribe this as I'm on the pill. This is now becoming quite an issue within my marriage so any advice would be gratefully accepted.

Literally overnight when I was 21 years old, I lost ALL sexual arousal, I still had the desire to have sex but the arousal was gone. I am now 39 years old and I still have no sexual arousal, I was told it was my relationship at the time, except I have had several relationships since, still nothing. At the age of 21 I had two children, and this happened one year after my second child. Is there any hope of any help for me to feel human again? I now after my third child, don't even have good orgasms anymore either, they went after my now 2 1/2 year old.

Can anyone help me with this?

19 years old is the peak age for female sexual arousal, the redness and wetness is all indicative of sexual arousal, and is a sign of health. Your boyfriend is right!

Hey doctors I have been suffering from depression for sometime, I have been on new anti-depressant for last 6 months. 3 weeks ago my mood has changed from being very irratable to stressed to angry. I have been having these sort of mini fits that last about 2 seconds, and have this constant feel of sexual arousal. This has been affecting me at work and even when I sit down or wear tight jeans. I feel it triggered off. I google some of my symptoms and I found I may have something called Persistant Gential Arousal Disorder. I'm not getting sleep and finding it so hard to relax. I have had bad experience with men. So have sexual feelings makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. i'm at a loss what to do. I have gone for cold showers, excercised, drank alcohol, had sex. But the symptoms keep returning. I'm just wondering if I do have this condition, shud I stop my AntiDs immediately. Cuz I read that if I do stop my meds straight away, i could become seriously well. I would really appreciate your advise. I'm really struggling with this, and having anxiety and depression with it, its certainly not helping.

I have come off the pill (Microgynon) about over a month ago because I had too many side effects, one being loss of libido, it went within a week of being on the pill. It's affecting mine and my boyfriends relationship and it's come to the point were he feels useless because I struggle to maintain any arousal for more than 5 minutes and it really makes me depressed, we've tried sex toys and foods to help, but I'm ready to give up, I need help :/

In Feb of 2012 I had a vascular surgery that placed a stent in a partially blocked leg artery. Following the catherization procedure, the artery plug failed, and I suffered a massive scrotal hematoma. The bleeding was halted about 26 hours later, but the recovery took several months before my testicles even approached normal size. My scrotum actually still seems to be a bit larger and "flabbier", to the point that it is still sometimes annoying. However, ever since that procedure, I have had total, complete impotence. Indeed, my penis has actually shriveled up so much I often have to sit to urinate because, well, there is nothing to hold onto. I have not been able to experience any sexual arousal (mental or physical) since then, and despite trying, I have not been able to achieve an orgasm via any means. Previous to this, my penis was of an average size when flaccid. While I had some moderate ED, I think typical of a man in his 50's, at the slightest hint of arousal, my penis would start growing to a girth and length (especially) of much larger proportions. And, I was able to obtain enough of an erection to still have intercourse, with "plenty" there to play, or be played, with. It's "normal" flaccid size was 2-3 times what it is now. Ironically, I had, well previous to this episode, been diagnosed with severe depression. The complete loss of my "manhood" and any sexual activity certainly has not helped that situation either. My regular doctor does not seem to care to talk about or address this. At his advice I saw a urologist, who basically "kissed it off" (and without any testing or diagnostics even). The urologist told me there were no options except possibly an implant. At this point, I do not know where to turn for help.

I would like to know more about the mental and emotional problems connected with the menopause - for instance loss of confidence, connected with loss of mental agility, memory loss etc. Is there anything I can be prescribed? I was told by my GP that HRT can only be given for two years, and she will not continue to prescribe this although it did help

Hi mini mouse, Effectiveness of treatments depend on why it is hair loss has occurred. For instance, if it's genetic in the case with angrogenic alopecia (male patterned hair loss) then treatment options have there limitations. The best treatment in each individual case can't really be determined without examination of the hair loss by a proffessional. Perhaps your boyfreind should go to the doctor if it does get him down.

Hi, I am 68 years old. I was always a highly sexed woman who had an under average 1st husband who failed to meet me and I had many years with a man who did satisfy me. Now I am married to a 2nd lovely husband who can and DID satisfy me BUT 5 years ago I developed this terrible soreness, which spread and has led to lots of probs. Been through all the usual treatments ,seen gynacologists, diagnosed with moderate active hyperkyroiditis. Following a vaginal biopsy. I have seen a psychologist after being assessed as needing help to cope. But I felt she did not understand how I felt. I am depressed, I have had on top a bout of thrush which has gone. I am not as sore as I was and I am much comfier BUT my libido is nil, I am so dry and I cannot enjoy foreplay at all. We do have sex but it is mostly uncomfy, especially on entering, it stings. Around my anus is uncomfy too. I am not the woman that I was and I feel this HUGH loss deeply and I am depressed after 5 years of this. Sometimes there is a sexual arousal which gives me hope but then it never develops into anything positive. I feel so different as a woman. It is unbelievable. I cannot believe the change in me. Please help. Is there any hope at all.

I've spent lots of time and money over the years on lotions and potions for my hair loss and have even been to a specialist (refered to by my doctor) who just identified that I have a very healthy scalp and could see no reason why I suffer from this problem. I'm now 42 and resigned to the fact that nothing can be done, however no-one has ever told me if the dent in the side of my head could be the cause, I have no knowledge of how this trauma occurred but could this be causing the hair loss? The dent on my head is about 4inchs long and the hair loss/breakage is localised around this area. I know there is'nt much you can do to help but I'm still searching for answers.

It's normal for the volume to change quite a bit depending on various factors, such as time since last ejaculation, length of stimulation, and arousal level. It's nothing to be concerned about.

My whole vulva area is red, burning and uncomfortable and it is also causing feelings of arousal. I'm trying anti fungal cream which does help for a bit. It is very embarrassing - any suggestions?

Its calledblue balls and comes from alk the blood that is abnormally left in the vicinity of your cock and ballsafter prolonged arousal without ejaculation. It will eventually subside on its own.. But is very painful at the time
