Conditions with symptom: 'loss of arousal'
Hi I have had weight loss surgery and lost 9 stone 9lb's, however since losing the weight, I now have excess skin on my stomach and due to weight loss on my breasts they are very saggy and to add insult to injury have inverted nipples which seem to have got worse since the weight loss, I am unsure whether or not to apply to my GP as I don't know if the NHS would allow this.
I'm a 33 year old female with no sexual feelings at all. I don't feel any arousal or desire and I have never done so. I've tried masturbating and using toys and still nothing. It only ever feels like something is inside me, there are no feelings of pleasure. I don't know what's wrong with me and I'm tired of missing out! I'm not trying too hard, I don't have any hang ups about my body, I don't see sex as being wrong or dirty. I'm healthy in all other aspects. I have a daughter and was like this before I had her. I'm in a relationship and like previous relationships, I haven't told my partner I feel nothing but just go through the motions. My body responds to sex in that I do get wet, but that's it. Nothing else apart from the feel of something there! It's the same for clitoral stimulation, to be honest I just feel ticklish there..oral sex does nothing for me either. I've tried researching this online and I only ever find the same info - about losing libido or being nervous and suggestions about relaxing. But this isn't what is wrong with me - it's not a loss of libido as I've never felt any sexual feelings. It's not me being uptight or needing to relax. I've absolutely zero sexual feelings both physically and emotionally but I don't want to be like it! Has anyone ever heard of this before? I'm trying to pluck up the courage to see my GP but the only female GP there happens to be the mother of my daughter's friend so I feel quite uncomfortable discussing this with someone who I sort of know - I know GPs are confidential but it would still be embarrassing to see them out of 'work'. Thanks x
Have your testosterone level checked. This is definitely a hormonal issue, and that's probably the hormone that's low. Being "horny" is like being drunk. Now how much sense would getting drunk make if you had no alcohol in your system? About the same amount of sense as sex is making to you right now.
I have this exact same issue and always have. I have been to three Gynaecologists and they have all told me that it's just in my head and that I need to learn to relax. This just makes me irratated and upset. I really want some help on this issue as well. Boyfriends don't understand the issue properly and some have dumped me or cheated on me and told me that it's because they can't satisfy me.

I am a 19 year old male my symptoms for nearly the past year is that i have hair loss and hair thinning but it is accompanied by a daily itch on my scalp especially on the top of my scalp and sometime it intensifies so much causes me to feel very depressed and whenever i try to relive the itch it pains. Also when my scalp is itching my scalp appears red ton the whole top of my scalp. i have been to my doctor, a dermotologist and a qualified tricologist at the institute of tricology and they all say different things to me. my dermotologist say's i have folliculitus and androgennic Alopecia but the ticologist say's that i do NOT have male pattern baldness as i am also have thinning and hair loss on the sides of my scalp and on the back but says that i have telegon effluviam. This is all well an said but they don't seem to deal with the scalp pain and tenderness that i am going through. On another note whenever there an itch there is hair loss as well, i also seem to be losing hair from my eye brows and eye lashes and my eyes seem to always itch and sting whenever i try touch them after i have touched my hair. I have also been told that my hair seems to look very crimpled as well whereby it looks unhealthy and that some hair are easily broken if thats any help. on another note when looking at my hair strands as one does when being worried about hair loss my hair is noticibly thinner near the root tip then the top og the hair strand is this normal?

Hi, I'm 19 yr old female and when I just turned 15 I was diagnosed with a Underactive Thyroid. Before I was diagnosed I noticed that I tired all day and hair loss. My hair would fall out in clumps when I brush my hair and wash it. Went to my GP and the perscribed me with Levothyroxine tablets with a dosage of 25 micrograms. As the years gone on I've seen a huge increase of hair loss and no growth of the hairs. I've tried hair pieces, wigs and massaging my head everyday to help the hair growth but nothing has worked yet. I have made many apppointments with my GP to see if I can get an increase on my medication but I've been told that 25 micrograms is the right amount for me. I've had have a appointment with a Dermatologist but I had no help to find out why my hair is not growing. 4 years of continuing hair loss has took its toll on me, I would like to find some way of making my hair grow, please can you help me??

Hi - I am 46 year old female who over the last 2 years has completely lost any sign of sexual arousal. A nurse at my doctor's surgery suggested Vagifem but my doctor refused to perscribe this as I'm on the pill. This is now becoming quite an issue within my marriage so any advice would be gratefully accepted.
