    Breast even

Well done for getting it checked out. Hope all is ok.

I was feeling my breasts the other day (not for pleasure, for health reasons) and I felt a lump on my left breast. It hurts if I push from below or on top of my breast, or if I sqeeuze from the top and bottom. I felt it slightly on my right breast but not painfully. Should I get it checked out? The lump was quite big. I'm thirteen and started puberty ony my breasts when I was 11, so it shouldn't be budding still should it?

I found a lump in my breast which the doctor thought it was a cyst but I asked to be referred and it turned out to be a benign lump. Happy with the outcome, I then discovered another lump in my armpit and within a few days there was 2 more lump in my other armpit. I know it most probably nothing serious but I just want to know why I am getting these lumps and if they are anything to worry about?

Hi, I also had a breast lump in my left breast which I recently had removed, just before my 22nd birthday. I had the lump for approximately a year before it was suggested that I had it removed. Throughout all of my appointments during the year I was told that it was nothing to worry about and in the end they were correct. If a lump is causing you pain you can request to have it removed, although the doctor may not agree that this is the best treatment, also be prepared to be in pain for a few weeks afterwards. The best advice I can give you is trust your doctors , keep an eye on your lump for changes and don't be afraid to ask our doctor for further treatment if you are unhappy.

i,m 33 yrs old and i found a lump in my left breast it is on my nipple and is very sore . So i went to the doctors and they told me that there was a bit of a lump but would not send me for a scan. I have got to wait and keep track of the lump and see if it changes .... is this something i should be worried about

Hi. Just found your comment whilst trying to find a video on breast reconstruction. I have BRCA2 and was tested at the age of 29 as my grandmother had breast cancer which led to my mother and aunties being tested (a very long time later). The test was free and involved a simple blood test which was dealt with by a genetic counsellor. talk to your GP as they will know how to go about it. I would also like to add that the gene is inherited from a parent who has it which makes it a 50/50 chance for you- then if you have the gene, your children become 50/50 for inheriting (male or female. do some googling - brca2 and brca1 info is easily found. good luck

I recently developed a lump in my left breast towards the top that was very painful at first and firm to touch. It has now, after about a month stopped being as painful but the lump remains and it still hurts if I press on it. Two days ago I found another similar lump on the same breast but around almost under my armpit...I am waiting for an appointment at a breast clinic but the waiting list is long and I am stressed out about this as there is a history of breast cancer in my family...can you give me any advice??

I'm 13 years old and I'm flatchested. I have two breast buds however one is more devolped then the other. I'm kinda worried, I got really down one day because of the fact I was flatchested and by this I mean flat like a 4 year old, no buds no nothing, that I went and punched myself in my breast because I really hated it (You can understand why i was in yr 7 at he time), yh so later on one of my nipples began to sweel and wehn the brusing went down i went to the doctor and she said I have a breat bud. However the other breast had n raised lump or anything, so I looked quite deformed in th mirror when only onr noticeable lump was there, so this got me down to so I decided to try and punch my other breast and make a breast bud appear, which it did. But it became several other months before I could say I had a pair of breast buds which by this time the first breast bud was noticeably more developed then the other. This is whats worring me. Will my other breast catch up to the same size breast bud as the other, grow at the same rate and will I have even breasts?

Hi I'm 24 and last year I found a lump in my breast I was getting a slight discharge from my nipple. I eventually had it removed on Christmas Eve. The doctors said it was a papilloma. Since then I have found a larger lump in the same breast but a different spot and I am getting even more nipple discharge and I'm worried what it could be as my doctors won't listen to me. I know it's not the same as before as I had my whole milk duct removed with the tumour and my breast doc says she can feel a lump but at a&e they said they could feel it and it wasn't rite they were quite concerned. Plus where my lump is my Breast keeps badly bruising any ideas please. Tia x

Hello, I have had a lump in my breast since I was about 17 I went to the doctor and she said it is just probably a cyst, she was meant to send a letter to me about going to a breast clinic but she never did. I'm 23 now & the lump is still there. I sometimes get a sharp pain going through my breast which lasts a couple of seconds.

I'm 18 years old, and i'm pretty flat chested. About 2 years ago I noticed a small lump on my left breast. My GP said it was a breast mouse, and that it wasnt anything to worry about as it could move freely round the top of my breast, over the last couple of years the lump has tripled its original size, and it really hurts. My GP said i can get it removed if i want, but i have such low self steem, i don't want to have uneven breasts, and as i have small breasts anyways it would not help. I heard recently that sometimes you can get breast surgery/enlargements on the NHS depending on an individuals case. I just wanted to know if theres anything i can do to have this breast surgery to both remove the massive lump and increase breast size. Any advice would be a great healf Thank you for your time

I am a 45 year old female and found a lump in my left breast this was checked out by the hospital and I was told it was a fibroid of the breast and that I would need another ultrasound in 3 months time to make sure there are no changes to the lump. Can these lumps become cancerous as I have 5 generations of breast cancer in my family on my mothers side.

I have a lump on my right breast which my partner found about a month ago. Been to the Dr and she has referred me to the breast clinic. I have no other symptoms except this lump and sometimes both breasts get itchy and my armpits at night but not all the time and I've had shooting pains a couple of times through my left boob. Do you think this could be anything serious or just a little cyst or something when I press on the lump it feels hard. Thanks :)

I recently noticed a lump in my left breast, towards the left side. It is quite sore when I press it and touch it, and it is also sore when I lie down on that side and lie on the lump. It appeared a few weeks before my period, and I thought it was because of that, however my period is over and it is still quite sore. I don't have this in my other breast. I don't know if it is a fatty lump but feel embarrased to go to the doctors incase it's nothing, even though my nan died of Breast Cancer. The left side of my breast is also always very very itchy, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but apart from that everything is ok. In the past I have also had pain under my arms in my armpits, but nothing since. I'm 19 years old.

I would like to say that I was SHOCKED at lasts nights programme when I heard the doctor say the words (regarding pain in breast) that 'cancer isnt sore' THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! I have had breast cancer and my lump was VERY painful, in fact that's what alerted me to the lump.It was also said in the programme that if a lump is smooth and mobile within the breast it is a cyst...again NOT TRUE I know that from experience. You MUST put out a statement in the media ASAP retracting ALL these FALSE statements or lives could be at risk. PLEASE ACT NOW!!!!!

I am 29 and I have a found a small lump like a large grain of sand in my arm pit (Left) not painful, I had a breast scan several years ago because of a lump in my left breast which turned out to be thickening of the breast tissue, however this area is sore if pressed and also my bra size has dropped. I have had 3 children and fed them all so the breast size reduction does not surprise me but it seems to have happened quite rapidly within the space of a few months and I stopped feeding my child a year ago?

Hi, im 16 years old and i have noticed a lump in my right breast. Its at the top of my breast and was quite small when i first noticed it, at the beginning i thought it might be a bone from my rib cage sticking out because the lump is near the centre(not sure if thats possible). A while ago i have experienced an itchy breast, and due to scratching it became flakey and sore. I now have noticed it has all of a sudden grown to possibly twice the size. Should i be panicing? and consult my doctor?
