I have a small lump on left side of scrotum. It hurts when I touch/squeeze it. Standing up for 5 min results in throbbing pain. Lying down with my scrotum a little elevated makes the pain die out. I'm 21 years old BTW. what is it? Also before there was lump, I get a pain in my scrotum after sneezing. Frequently. Like 3/5 sneezes, pain occurs in my scrotum.

Could just be a cyst (harmless). Don't try pop it. If its new, changing, growing, painful, itchy or you're worried then go to the GP. If it is a cyst that keeps coming back or bothers you then the GP can remove it under local anaesthetic.

oh it is just a harmless lump it happens to a lot of guys.

I am 16 years old and for a few years have felt a tender pain in my left testicle. It has suddenly become worse and I'm hesitant about visiting my GP. Upon checking my scrotum I discovered a tiny grisly lump close to the tube within my scrotum, both the tube and lump is tender to touch. I heard that masturbation helps to relieve this pain and sometimes it does. Is there anything that can aid this? what could it be? what can i do?

In my testicles the is a very small solid lump like a cyst but it is not on my actual testicle its on what i think is the chord coming of the scrotum, i wondered whether you can get cancerous lumps just on the scrotum or if they can also occur on other areas such as the chord? should i be worried?

Hi! I have a couple of small grit like lumps around my scrotum, a couple on the base of the scrotum and a couple to the right in between my penis and scrotum. I had them checked when I was at the gum clinic and they said there was nothing to worry about and it was a fructose gland or something but I'm pretty sure they couldn't even feel it as sometimes its hard to feel. Soon after I noticed the other grit type lump on the right so assume this can't be the fructose gland or whatever they called it as it was not symmetrical and there was more than 2! What could this be and should I be worried? It doesn't hurt at all and doesn't appear to be attached to the testicles.

Hi I am 49 yr old and have had a vasectomy 20 odd yr ago, I have had pain several times in my groin/testes area. I now have stringy like veins running from my left testicle & also a small lump which runs along the tubes and is near to the edge of the scrotum. I have been for an ultra sound but got the opinion that the guy doing the exam was not to interested that day during which time he failed to notice even the small lump.

A lump (less than the size of a pea) inside my scrotum. It is not actually on my testicle however it does seem as though it is attached to a string which i am guessing is the epididymis. It is almost like this lump is 'floating about' within my scrotum. It only becomes painful when i feel for it and or squeeze it. Could this just be a cyst or is it possible for a cancerous lump to appear within the scrotum but not be attached to a testicle. Also, the epididymis on this side of my scrotum is ever so slightly larger than the one on the opposite side. Could you confirm if this is normal?

I have white hard lumps all over my scrotum and I've had them for as long as I can remember, some are really small and hardly noticeable, there are 3 that are grouped together on my scrotum, which is worrying me. They are painless but hurt if a lot of pressure is applied, then I have a white lump the size of a garden pea on the right side of my scrotum, I'm so embarrassed and ashamed about them. What should I do?

Are you sure it's a genital wart? It could be something which is completely normal or just a skin tag. Warts usually appear in clusters (more than one) and will look similar to a cauliflower. Just go to your GP or local GUM clinic and get it sorted.

Hi, I really appreciate your advice and invaluable insights. Thank you most sincerely. My issue is as follows: Three years ago I detected a lump in my scrotum. I went to my GP who refered me to a specialist for a scan. A lump was detected thought to be a cyst. Advice given was either have opperation or let it be and lump might disappear!! I let it be and got on with life. Now after many years I feel a lump again maybe the sme one? Im reluctant to address the issue again, probably element of embarrasment. The lump is a little bit uncomfortable. Is it possible that a cyst or lump might be present for a long period or perhaps reacur again?

Not sure what it is mate but get it checked by your doctor. You've already had a scrotal exam so you know its not so bad. Go get it checked and keep it up until you find the answer or are happy with the explanation. Your balls, your body, your life, your call!

I discovered a small mobile lump inside my scrotum. The doctor said he thought it was a cyst and told me he is sending me for an ultrascan. I have been quite worried about this until i read on this website that it is common to find cysts inside the scrotum. This information has helped with my anxiety over this while I wait for my ultrascan appointment.

Hi I am 37 and 4 years ago I found a small lump on my testicle my .gp sent me for an ultra sound scan and was told it were a cyst 1 year after I went to have a vasectomy and 2 week after I got servere pain in my testicle I went to a&e where they operated immediately of to what was a suspected twisted testicle 1 year after that I went back to my .gp because the small lump had turned into a pea size lump no pain in it when my scrotum is relaxed you can see it poking out I was referred again and then all I was told it was the scar tissue after my operation I told the doctor I already had the lump before my operation but he wasn't interested more recently my lump remains and has now grown further should I be concerned ? Also the lump is growing on what seems to be a tube or artery not fixed to my testicle

Hi, this video has helped me re-assure myself, however I am 16 and I have a small lump around the tube area, not sure it is actually a lump or just the tube its self, but I'm not sure if im just panicing myself, I've had no other symptoms that i have found on other websites. which state that there would be imflemation/ collection of fluid in the scrotum, rest of the testes are fine, found no other lumps or sists that im worried about, just my friend at school has a lump, and he went to the doctors and now has to go into surgey. I think i just scared myself, howeven some professional advice would be much appreciated.

Ive noticed some small fleshy lumps on my penis and scrotum. They are in clusters on the scrotum but sparse on the penis. Hair appears to be growing out of some on the scrotum. I have never had sex but do masterbate and i used to have warts on my hands. Is it possible to pass them on to the genitals?
