Hello, I am 15 years of age. A few days ago I checked my testicles for the first time properly. I found what felt like a gristly lump on my left testicle. After a bit more examination, I noticed it was attached to a cord, the cord that attaches back up into your body. Although it was in a different position to the one on my right. The testicles sit at the same height, unless they are really loose, and then my left hangs ever so slightly lower. I have also noticed a dull ache radiating from my testicles. I am extreemley worried and want to know what to do. Is this just normal, or could I need to see a doctor? Please help me asap!

I had almost exactly the same thing. It may be a completely harmless epididymal cyst, like mine, but it would be best to go check with your GP for your peace of mind.

i had a lump under my testicles which i had removed cause it grew as big as a walnut in hospital 2 yrs ago now ive noticed another lump where my scar is and it feels alot harder and its swollen what is it and should i be worried

Any lump or bump is worth seeing your GP about. I wouldn't be too worried as it is most likely just hard scar tissue that formed after the initial op (I have something similar). You don't mention what the op was for (cyst/tumour etc?). Get it checked out mate, won't hurt to put your mind at rest.

A testicular lump is an abnormal mass in the testicles. The testicles are—the egg-shaped male reproductive glands. They hang below the penis in a sac called the scrotum. Their primary function is to produce sperm and testosterone. A testicular mass, or lump, may be located in one or both testicles, and is a fairly common condition. Lumps can occur in both men and teenage boys. Testicular lumps are signs of problems with the testicles. They may be caused by an injury, but they can also indicate a serious underlying medical problem.

My husband is a very large man and has hydroceles around both testicles and is VERY swollen and uncomfortable. He has been to a urologist and does not want to go back as he does not want surgery. He has started waking up in the morning with the bed wet. I do not think it is urine, but it has left his underwear wet and a light stain on bedding. Could his testicles be somehow leaking fluid?? Or could this be from sweating because of his enlarged testicles?

Hi, i went to the docs 6 maybe 7 years ago with a tiny lump i found, it's on the epididimis but right along the line where it joins the testicle, the doc said it is just epididimal cyst and are quite normal, infact he said he had them himself on both testicles, i checked mine and although a bit harder to find i did indeed find one on my other testicle. I was still worried and he sent me for an ultrasound, everything was clear. For some reason i felt it today after years and it was still there on both sides, no bigger, still the same, but i just started to worry over them again, i dont know why. I did some research on the net about them and most people describe them as quite big, but these things i have are tiny, like pin heads, probably about 1mm and they seem to flop about when pressed and can be wiggled around, if i tense my testicles they seem to dissapear into the epididimis. If i lift my testicle up and feel it, it feels like a tiny lump but if i get them to relax and hang down the then feel it it feels like a little pinhead size and flaps about like a tiny bit of sking, if i gently massage it, it almost dissapears and flattens right out. Plus i have been searching for the right one for the last couple of days and i cant even find it.

Hello, Approximately approximately 18 months ago I had two hernias operated on.About three months later I began experiencing pain sometimes in either groin or sometimes both sides and sometimes an ache in my testicles.I thought this was probably the hernias playing up again and lived with the problem. Then about three months ago I felt a lump at the back of my testicles which I reported to my G.P.I have had 2 ultra sound scans, one private and one N.H.S. both which came up clear.also the test for cancer was negative, and they have not given me any reason as to what the problem is.I still get the dull ache both in the groin and in the testicles, and sometimes the testicles are so tender that the slightest touch is extremely painful. Can you suggest any test that can be carried out as to what is causing the problem,I am pretty relaxed it is nothing serious but would just like to know what the lump is and what is causing the pain.Thanking you in anticipation.

Tell your parents and get a doctors appointment asap mate. 'Most (roughly 90%)testicular cancers can be treated if treat to quickly. Hope this helps.

I just had surgery for the same issue. It normally is nothing to worry about but go see a urologist just to be safe.

I thought i had TC and for like over a year i waited in fear and couldn't even bring myself to look or even glance at my testicles, I'm only 15 now so this as when i was about 13, I went to the doctors, he had a good feel and told me this lump was normal etc i then got home and thought right i will check my balls now there's nothing to be afraid of and as soon as i did, i saw the lump again. Even being told this was nothing has frightened me to check my own testicles.. It sounds really silly but i really cannot bring myself to do it.

the thing what you may have was on embarasing bodies on monday and i think it said it was nothing to worry about the guy went and got the lumps surgicly removed

I have had lumps on my testicles, I have checked mself regularly for some years but noticed them after a hot bath. There were three lumps of different sizes. I went to see my GP as soon as I could, within a week, and was told they were small infections, similar to what you would expext Acne to be on your face. Well two years on there is one lump remaining, a hard pointed lump that seems to be in or very close to the tube connection at the top. Is it likely that this will need examining again or is to be expected from having 'spotty' testicles ? I do not have any discharge or blood in my sperm/ semen and no other discomfort other than constant indigestion which I am told is an over active 'pump'.
