Hello EB! I'm a 24 year girl with bad PCOS. I was advised of this when I was about 14, with scans and blood tests. I have maybe 1 period a year, maybe two but nothing more than that. I do have excess hair, not over weight, and been advised I do not need to loose any weight. Me and my fiancé are wanting a baby, I have lost 2 babies (1 at 8 weeks, and the other at 11 weeks). We are wanting a baby so badly. Is there anything I can do which will help me? Thank you!!

I watched the Embarrassing Bodies programme on Sunday night and a young woman was on the programme with IBS (or so Dr. Pixie - I think it was - diagnosed). Anyway the symptoms were very similar to mine and I've had IBS (or so my doctor has told me) for a few years now, I'm a 49 year old woman by the way. Dr. Pixie mentioned a treatment, which I wrote down phonetically, and can't seem to find the piece of paper now, which began with ana or ama, I suspect (after reading through your treatments on this website it is an antimotility medicine) please could you let me know again what it was called (Dr. Pixie only said it the once)and I would like to see if it would help me in the same way it helped the young woman on your programme. Thank you.

Ive been looking for the same answer for about 3 hours. even looked at the last 4 episodes on 4od. I knew she said it was also used as a Antidepressant medication, and it mentioned it would help with sleep. Another thing I suffer from, which is why Ive been trying to find it out as well. But as luck as had it i believe i have found the medication dr pixie mentioned. Ive taken this snippet from this website http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/irritable-bowel-syndrome/DS00106/DSECTION=treatments-and-drugs If your symptoms include pain or depression, your doctor may recommend a tricyclic antidepressant or a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). These medications help relieve depression as well as inhibit the activity of neurons that control the intestines. If you have diarrhea and abdominal pain without depression, your doctor may suggest a lower than usual dose of tricyclic antidepressants, such as imipramine (Tofranil) and amitriptyline. Side effects of these drugs include drowsiness and constipation. SSRIs, such as fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem) or paroxetine (Paxil), may be helpful if you're depressed and have pain and constipation. These medications can worsen diarrhea, however. hope this helps. I'll be seeing my GP about it :)

tricyclic antidepressant called amitriptyline. I remember dr pixie saying it was used as and antidepressant and i'm sure the 'triptyline' sounds familiar and you did say it began with AM so I think this is the one. I hope it is as it took me hours to find it. She said it that quick i didn't have time to recall it.

Hi Vicky, I know what you are going through. By the time I reached puberty my breasts hadn't grown and I used to be terribly ashamed of my body. I was a 34A and had quite a big frame.. My body shape looked terrible. I used to get upset and like you I hid my body in baggy clothes and wore overly padded bras. I could never get fully undressed in front of anyone. It does affect every aspect of your life, you take ages getting ready, picking out clothes to disguise a small chest and stare at girls with bigger boobs wondering how they got theirs and what you didn't do or should have done to grow your own. When I was 24 I went to see my doctor. I was beyond miserable! That was 6 years ago. I got implants. I only went up 2 sizes, but it gave me the confidence that I lacked for so long! You have three kids and they should have a happy mummy, don't suffer - make an appointment to see a lady GP and talk about how you feel. Be honest & tell her everything. You may need some antidepressants - that's nothing to be ashamed of. Hopefully you'll get a referral for breast augmentation surgery after you feel a bit better. You need to make the decision with a clear head. The recovery afterwards is pretty rough and to be truthful, I lost sensation in parts of my breasts and have increased sensitivity in my nipples. Every 'body' is different and I bet your kids and partner think that you're perfect! It was the right decision for me and I wouldn't change a thing now. Good luck for whatever you decide, but please do see your GP about how you are feeling. The only way to get help is to speak out, otherwise no one will know how you are feeling. xox

I hate to tell you young girls, but the most revolting "Look" of a woman's vagina are the ones that have been surgically altered, to spoil the natural beauty. Many men like myself, find nothing more turnoffish than a woman/girl with just a slit as a vagina, and no lips to show. I am aware some unlucky girls are like this naturally, but Im sure as they mature into their 20s that the correct bits grow a little. So embrace you large lips, as other women have, I guarantee your Real Man boyfriend will love it.....only childish immature boys, oooh and laugh at a real woman's vagina. There are Millions of photos of beautiful women 18+ on the internet, with perfect full large labia. Dont have surgery, it will only make things worse. BTW, it has been recorded and researched that the huge leap in young women wanting surgery, is because of the stupid current fashion of removing pubic hair, which then makes everything 1000 times bigger. For millions of years women had those bits covered, and didnt care about "loose Lips", now with this stupid wanting to look like a 10 year old girl again, its all out in the wind.....the remedy, go natural, Tasmania over Brazil!!!

Though it is ridiculous to shame women for having larger labia, it is equally outlandish to shame 'unlucky' women for tiny, less visible labia. It is offensive to say that anyone's vagina is revolting. I can see that your intentions were kind, and it is great that men like you and I embrace larger labia - but everyone's vagina is different, and you stating your opinion like it's a fact doesn't really help people who are self-concious about themselves. I know you didn't mean to be offensive but this is a website that is supposed to help people and boost the confidence of those who hate how they look.

hi, im a 20 year old woman, i have two children and before the first was born i had one breast sligthly bigger than the other however since the birth of my second the differace is now really noticable. Is this normall and is there anything i can do to remedi this myself as this is making me really self consus to the point of not wanting to go out without a big jumper or coat on.

Thanks, def not a lesbian, had my coil removed a few days ago and all is back to normal.

do you have issues with this? are you wanting to stop or continue? does it happen randomly or with pressure???? maybe your body is sending you a signal to keep producing, is this something you would be interested in if so? If not there are ways to stop the body from thinking to produce if you are wanting to, but also it depends on what you are doing as well

Hi Dave Thank you for taking the time to post and thank you for looking at our facebook page. Our website will be up and running very soon so we will let you know via facebook when that is ready and when the film is made. This is a such an interesting subject. We are keen to speak to as many woman as possible about their experiences so that we can really understand and appreciate why woman have labia surgery. So please get in touch if you are one of those woman - we would love to hear from you - in confidence of course. Our final film will take the voices of some of those woman [who are interested] and animate characters to the voices. This will enable the woman remain anonymous but will allow us to share real life thoughts and experiences and help other woman in the future. Regards

Hi Anna, I can totally understand you not wanting to go to the doctors and show them I was exactly the same but I am so glad I did now, I found out exactly what was wrong with me, the reason for my painful periods and bleeding while using a tampon. They will probably only give you a scan maybe an internal examination but its not that bad but do it in your own time. What makes you think you have this? Why not try this website http://uterusdidelphys.webs.com/ another woman with this condition set it up and you can sign up and speak to people and ask whatever you want to know.. hope this helps and good luck, don't be afraid you are not alone x

Go and shop for bra's that enhance your cleavage.. Also have a look infills which allot of the Asian woman use.. And those woman are very attractive and womanly, that you speak about you are looking for. Attitude of mind is also the big thing with being a woman.. Look at the famous actress,Angie J, all the men love and woman admire, she has had both boobs removed and she is still as feminine as anyone else, if not more..Your nipples are dried and cracking, rub a over the counter cream/vi tam E or similar from the pharmacy, it is called maintance of ones body...

this video is so backward, and i feel sorry for this woman and the doctor to agree to do the surgery. There is nothing wrong with this woman. If only all us woman could stick together and note the difference in ourselves and love it. There has been to much media censorship that most woman do do realize that it is because of censorship they feel this way. No censorship means you get to choose what you like not what the board chooses for you, because they find some things to sexual.

Hi Jacqui, I'm just at the start of trying to source a good plastic surgeon also for a bilateral mastectomy, preferably in my area - North West. Don't really know where to start, plus would like to see some of their work first. I've a review appt soon so I'll ask the breast care nurses, but I'd really appreciate some further info/advice from you. I don't have the option of my own tissue as I'm too skinny, don't want back muscle using, so implants it'll have to be. I understand that saline implants are now available which are lighter. Did you have your own tissue or implants? If so, what kind - saline or silicone? Very much appreciate your response. Thanks Adele

going thought the same thing it,s great having some one to talk to

My husband recently had an affair with another woman. It's now been bought to an end. However during this time I got BV several times, all diagnosed by my doctors & I was put on a dose of antibiotics for all of them. I have since found out that the woman in question is a midwife. Is there any possible way that I could of contracted BV from this woman? Thankyou for your help.

Bv isn't sexually transmitted or contagious I gave suffered with it constantly for the last 2 years. Best thing I've found that works are the ph balance pipettes you insert one everyday and don't use any soap x

It can't be transmitted. There's a lot of contributing factors as to why u get it. But isn't passed on through intercourse

I am sorry that you feel like this . However it's a feeling based on an opinion created by men and women who are intimidated by larger exadurated private parts . And I'm talking both sexes , as a man I have had this discussion with other men and the men who do not like large labia or a larger clitoris or clitoris hood or even outer lips ! Well I can assure you over the years I have learned these men do not want anything that might dwarf their already dwarfed and in the cases I have observed . Meaning knowing these guys and the women they dated . This was all true , these men need a little less woman to feel strong and powerful . I have also learned that all of these men really base their be belifes likes dislikes and even religious , political and physical appearance from what they are fed from media etc to be normal .the good news is if they don't like it find a real man with confidence and s true love for the female form . And what you describe is what I tend to call a real woman or slang a real machine !!and not for the boys . I'll hope you can learn to love your body . This is a private personal thing and no good man or woman contrary to what I hear now and the. . Should share details of what goes on behind doors and behind love passion , sexuality , and in many cases things you may do with that person you do not care to share . Loyalt and respect should remain regardless x or current partner . If you tell me intimate details of a man you were with . Trust me I wouldn't be interested in trusting my body or secrets with you , so no fear. Actually no labia showing or anything else and I'm kinda turned off . (Note but I was married to a woman with no extra woman there . It actually was a turn off orally and just the arrousal was flat . But watch out ! Show me a real woman and I cant stop wanting her forever . Oh btw , I'm a pretty good catch I'm told , also told I'm very sexy , and very good at the act , I'm also told that it could stand an intermission . Or halftime. I'll hope your proud you! Your 14 with a woman's body and a doubt about your desire . Men really don't look at playboy covers .

I only go to the toilet every 3 - 4 days and my stools are like diagram number 2, sometimes very painful and almost feel as though they are stuck so the feeling of never quite finished. I also have the feeling of not wanting to go but knowing if I was to insert my finger into my vagina and feel to the back that there is certainly a stool there wanting to come out. So I'm wondering if my muscle isn't working? I've told my Doctor but she wasn't very helpful and just told me to eat more bran which I do every day !

As a man i celelbrate the differences in woman - all vaginas are individual and the labia is a beautiful and exotic part of a woman - It takes courage and a leap of faith for a woman to trust that she is perfect as she is because of her individuality not in spite of it. Men dont in my experience dont covert an idea of perfection based on uniformatity - I have notyet met a man yet who prefers enhanced breasts from natural - Most ment in my experience want real woman with their individuality intact rather than someone who has cosmetically adjusted their apperance to correspond with some distorted idea of perfection. The best you can be is the woman that you already are!

If the milky discharge comes and goes, on a relative schedule, it can simply be cervical mucus, which isn't anything to worry. It is just a normal body process that every woman goes through, though the amount differs woman to woman. However, it would still be a good idea to make an appointment with a gynecologist, just for a routine check up. She'll also be able to explain any questions you may have.
