Hi, i am 18 years old and have had a sore itchy nipple for a few months now. When i have itched the nipple it has split and bled slightly. Now my nipple always seems to have discharge on the top of it, or it seems really dry. I have tried moisturising it, but it doesn't stop the itching and discharge. My breast has also become very sore now, as if it is bruised and it feels very tender when i touch the nipple. Should i go and see my GP?

Hi I am 21 and have also been suffering from a sore itchy nipple too. My right one seems to have dry skin all around the nipple and i have also tried to keep it well moisturised. Really dont want to go to my GP as only have a male GP in the surgery i go to and i feel way too uncomfortable.

i am 28 and and have a green discharge from left nipple, i get painful abcesses all over the breast. i have spoken to my doctor about this but he wont send me for tests and i am concerned about breast cancer as there is history in my mothers side, the nipple gets sensitive and i have to squeeze the discharge out and sometimes it can be a a couple of drops or a bigger amount. i have a white discharge from right nipple but dont tend to get abcesses on that breast. i have pcos and have had it a few years and there is no chance of being pregnant as i have not had a period over a year due to depro shot. I need help and advice as it worries me and my partner, i have tried the breast test and feel loads of small lumps so not sure what is normal and what isnt, as well as what feels like swollen tubes, i am reall concerned as this has been going on for a few months? my breasts went from a 42dd to a 42g, i also find that i sweat alot under my breast and between, i have considered breast reduction but cannot afford it and my doctor is no help at all he always dismisses things.

I think I have 1 inverted nipple, and 1 normal one. The inverted nipple isn't fully inverted, it is inverted in the middle part of the nipple. It does come out if I keep touching it ( it becomes hard ) and the whole nipple could be seen, sometimes, with a tiny small folding. The other nipple seems at all fine. The "inverted" nipple is always inverted, as long as I remember. May I ask, is this "shy", " inverted " nipples? Or another thing?

One of my nipples is like more down and a weirder shape to the other its scary and weird the others perfectly fine but my left is totally odd its embarrassing is this normal I'm only 14 ://

I have exactly the same!! I'm trying to find out what it is but can never find anything related to it!! It makes me so uncomfortable and I still hate to get my boobs out in front of my boyfriend!! Hopefully your question will help me out too!!

I'm 20 years old and both of my nipples are inverted. my right nipple is usually out but becomes inverted sometimes while my left is usually inverted and comes out if it's stimulated enough. I also have discharge that's white from both of my nipples but it's very little and does not smell. And I have white bumps on both of my nipples they sort of seem like zits because I can pop them but I'm not sure what they are. I also accidentally cut the tip of my left nipple 2 years ago so now the skin on the tip of that nipple is lighter than the one on my right nipple. I have embarrassing nipples and need help. Any advice?

I'm not sure if I have a third nipple. It's on my lower abdomen diagonally below my bell button and it's pink almost exactly like my nipples on my breasts. It looks kind of like it has a small areola and a tiny nipple inside it but I'm not sure. Could this be a third nipple?

I have nipple discharge in one breast that only happens when I squeeE it. It's like a clear to milky colour. I have pain in the leaking breast but only really when it's being pressed on. I have had a prolactain level blood test done and that has come back normal. I don't have any lumps or changes to my breast or nipple. My doctor says it's normal and nothing can be done about it. But I am really getting freaked out by it especially when I hear it can be a sign of breast cancer. Pls tell me what is wrong and if it is dangerous Thank u x

hi im 16 years old, and i have had my nipple pierced for around 6-7 months now, and i notice that around my time of the month i can notice a change as the piercing discharges. At the very tip of my nipple the skin has become flaky and also discharge comes from that area. I decided to check my other nipple, and again discharge from the top of the nipple, around the tiem of my period, and i have not noticed any other time. I clean my piercing every other day, which was recommended, however the discharge still occurs around my period. Is this normal??

I have milky discharge from one nipple only when pressure is applied. The discharge is only a tiny drop, but it always originates from exactly the same location on the nipple. This has been going on for about three years. I'm 31 and have never had children. Should this discharge concern me?

I have nipple discharge. The discharge appears when ever I examine my breasts or squeeze around the nipple area. The discharge can be anything from creamish, greenish & blackish. My doctor referred me to a specialist who gave me a mamogram. The results were clear & the specialist said that unless the discharge was bloodstained it was nothing to worry about. This was over two years ago & it just dosen't feel normal.

Im 15 nearly 16, my left nipple turns inwards. It has been like this since i started puberty at 13. I only comes out if i put pressure around the nipple. When my nipple is out, it looks soggy and sometimes there is a bit of discharge. I am really worried but i don't want to go to the doctors. Is it something serious.

Hi, I've just turned 16, and I've been worrying about my breasts. When I get a shower, I notice tiny lumps around the nipple, and if you gently squeeze them, white discharge comes out, I've had this for a while, but I haven't been worried about it until a couple of months ago. I've been watching episodes on this website, as well as on TV, but they have mentioned discharge from the nipple, but not anywhere else, have you got any advice, or any information to what it could be. Many thanks.

My left nipple has been inverted ever since I started puberty, I find it extremely uncomfortable and sometimes painful especially when it becomes erect, it won't come out it goes in deeper and tightens. Only recently has my right nipple started becoming inverted as well. I'm very self conscious about them and frustrated as my GP hasn't helped at all. Now and again I seem to produce a smelly discharge in my left nipple, I'm getting a bit worried

Hi I'm 37 and had a fibro adenoma removed in 2005. After the surgery I suffered from mastitis and the surgeon told me I had numerus cysts in both breasts but more in the left, (where the fibro adenoma was removed) I found it hard with all these cysts to check myself, I became paranoid with any new thing I found and went numerous times to my GP who said everything was fine. I just had to learn how to watch for changes and I have stopped the trips to the GP. Now I have noticed discharge from my right nipple, (about 6 months ago) it started green then yellow from several ducts. I checked on the internet that this was nothing to worry about, but more recently the discharge is clear from only one duct and I also have some thickening inside the breast with a very small lump underneath, to the right side of the nipple on the right breast, sometimes I do also have itchy burning nipples/breast. Is this anything to worry about, I'm really not sure as I do have to squeeze the nipple to get the discharge. I don't want to bother my GP again for no good reason.

I'm 16, nearly 17. I came across a lump under my right nipple about 6 months ago, didn't take any notice of it, but I was in the shower the other day and came across it again, it had gotten bigger and also more close to the skin, also feels deep. My right nipple area looks swollen, it looks like half a circle coming out of my skin. Also I have noticed a white/yellowy type of dried up what looks like discharge coming out of my right nipple? My lump is not painful though, at all. Do I just have cyst, or something more serious?

hello. I'm 20 and I had my right nipple pierced when I was 15 but I took it out probably 3 years ago. Earlier this year I started getting a creamy discharge from my nipple but it was coming out of the bit where the hole was. It hasn't happened for a few months now but since I was on this site I thought I'd ask to see if you knew what it could or could have been n whether I should see my gp. Thanks

I'm worried that I have a third nipple too. It wasn't made clear to me whether a third nipple could grow onto an existing nipple. I have 2 as normal and then when I woke up this morning I found a spot/pimple next to my right nipple, on the bit surrounding it. It looks slightly similar as the end is sort of the same and when I push down on it, it feels the same as when you push down on a nipple. Does anyone know what it could be?

Could it be a blocked duct, I don't think a third nipple would grow but if it's on your areola that could be what it is; sometimes you can squeze them in a warm bath and they will excrete and usually go away.

I have th same thing , a little spot that looks like a small nipple on the areola (the area surrounding the nipple) it hasent Alleays been there and I'm really worried about it :O I think it might just be a clogged gland because you don't randomly grow third nipples :)

Hi there, just wondering how bad ur nipple was & did they take nipple of when u got ur boob job done? I looked at getting boob job done as I went from a c to a cup but he said that I would have to get the nipple taken of so they do a procedure which he deceived as pushing my nipple out & tying knot at bottom then putting it back on but I'd have scar under chest grinning job & scar around the nipple. I seen ma friend scar around her nipple when she got a boob lift & it was a ghastly sight.

im 27 and I have 1 inverted nipple. I have 2 children and both pregnancies my nipple never came out and I was unable to breastfeed off that side both times as baby couldn't latch on which resulted in a breast abcess. ive tried using nipple shields and suction cups but my nipple never stays out. is there anything that actually works or do you think surgery is the way to go. after feeding 2babies from just one breast one nipple is permanently out and the other is not- its very unbalanced and getting me down.

On your progamme tonight , it was said that if you have a discharge from the nipple , then that was abnormal and you should see the doctor.I'm 56 and I have ALWAYS had discharge, it is clear , and that is normal for me. Think it should have been said that an abnormal discharge should be checked out ?

My right nipple has been inverted for as long as I can remember, whilst my left nipple is perfectly normal. My nipple does 'come out' when erect though, and so I had them pierced two weeks ago. It's pushed the nipple more outwards and made it look more normal - although there is still a difference between the two. I don't think you'd know my nipple was inverted though now unless I told you, so I'd highly recommend trying this if you can stand the pain!

I have brown crusts on my nipple. I am nearly 15 years old. I am not pregnant and i don't think it is discharge. My nipple has turned a dark black colour. I am very concerned. It is sometimes itchy, and as i itch it some of the flakes come off. When i wake up next morning there is always a build up of flakes sometimes. Can anyone have a solution? Please.

Sounds like candida. Stems from the gut. It's fungal. I can fix it.

Oh thank you for replying. But is there a cure? I have used a cream which didn't even cure my nipple. And if it is candida then what type of cream or pill can cure it?

Hi, i'm 19 and i have a yellow discharge that has been coming out of my left nipple and the nipple itself seems to be a darker colour compared to the right. I have been a bit concerned because my family has history of cancer with my mum previously having breast cancer herself. Hope you can give me some advice. Thanks in advance.
