Conditions with symptom: 'odour'
Im a 15 year old girl. I recently went to the doctors because my vaginal discharge has a fishy odour and was yellowish and creamish and was quite excessive. It's gotten to the point where i have to wear a pad everyday and leggins underneath my trousers in order to hide the smell. My doctor did a swab test but found nothing abnormal. She prescribed me with antibiotics and now it has turned thick, creamy and has a salty odour. Is there a different reason as to why this is happening to me or is there anyway i could get normal clear non odour discharge? Any help on this would be great!

I was very interested in the advice given this weeks update for under arm sweating. Can the 'cure' be on Nhs ? I saw the update and this looks perfect solution for my daughter who sweats a lot and has some body odour as well. It runs her social life and people don't understand she us very clean but the body odour econes excessive and I feel for her . If not how much would it cost and how do I choose the practitioner to help

I'm 40 and I think I may have Fish Odour Syndrome. I have and the symptoms since puberty. I only seem to have the odour on the lead up to and during my period (which thankfully is only about 2 days). Soem months seem worse than other. It doesn't seem to make any difference how scrupulous i am with personal hygiene. It leaves me so self conscious, I am washing every hour at work but it doesn't seem to make any difference. If anything, it gets worse if i use anything perfumed, or when I get hot. I eat no meat of fish, but do eat eggs, beans and soya. Do you think avoiding these will help? and will I need to go to my GP for testing/dignosis. (I am currently on SSRI's for reactive depression, so am a bit apprehensive about going to see her about something else). Hoping for some advice
Hiya I know it's embarrassing, I suffered briefly recently (I'm the same age). It's also known as bacterial vaginosis, and is really due to an imbalance of bacteria. I cured it by eating lots of probiotic yoghurt - I was getting thru a big tub every two days and also got probiotic capsules from Holland & Barrett, which I took twice a day. It cleared up in about 10-14 days. Give it a go, you've nothing to lose. Being overly hygienic will make the problem worse as this kills good bacteria as well as bad bacteria. Hope you get sorted soon.
I am a 19 year old female and I have struggled with persistent discharge since before I can remember. It has not been of direct importance to me till now as I have recently got into a relationship. In the past year, I have visited my doctor, who told me I had a yeast infection and supplied me with antibiotics however this did not stop the discharge. I have also visited a clinic where I was diagnosed with BV and given antibiotics however, these too, did no help the problem. I have tried over the counter solutions such a canesten and balance activ gel, but these have not worked either. The discharge varies. It can be clear, white, with no odour or with a strong odour. It is very persistent. I would really like to get this issue resolved, any help would be appreciated. Many thanks, Ellen
