I'm 13 my period started with 9 days after my 11th birthday. I have my period for about 2 weeks with stops , so I just kinda have them for a week then 2 days not and then they start again and I have them 4 more days . Is that normal ? I'm not sure . last year I had serious problems with headacs and feeling very dizzy . I even passed out ones ... it got better with the time . it lasted for about 4 months . at that moment I didn't really check if it was stronger or only on the days I had my period s I don't no if it is related to my period. I still get dizzy very often , mostly when I'm on my period but not only . my dad brought me to a couple of doctors to see what was happening last year , but they couldnt find anything . they even put some strange machin on me for a day to check my heart beat seeing that my mom has problems with it . they checked my brain too but nothing. all that could be found was that I had slight problems with balance . I was wondering if my problems could be related to my period and mybee the blood loos . I do always beed my bed from the second to 5th day of my period even though I pout on 3 sanitary towel (? english is not my native language so I don't know if it is the right word. the protectioon that is not a tampon )....

I'm having problems lately. I've been having problems getting my period. Like every 2-3 months I skip a period. I've also been getting some dull to severe pain on my right ovary. It gets so bad that I have to massage it out, but when I do, the day after, I find brownish red discharge that's kind of gooey. It's like when you get clots during your period. What could this be? I got a ultrasound to find cysts but nothing came up. I'm definitely not pregnant and have no STDs. Seriously, what is going on! :(

In my experience these problems could be linked... I have always suffered with excessive facial hair. I then developed irregular periods at one time didn't have one for 5 months, my GP carried out blood tests which suggested poly cystic ovary diasease and this was confirmed a shortwhile later by ultrasound scan...

get checked for polycystic ovarian syndrome as these symptoms can be related. I have the condition and have both of these symptoms.

During the first couple of days of my period, I have extreme "period pain that as more than once reduced me to tears. I also be sick and start to shake really bad as though I have the flu this means I cant take painkillers as I sick them back up again before they can work. I am 16 years old and have had these problems since I started having my period at around thirteen or fourteen. Will this go away as I get older or is there something that can be done if I go to my GP?

Hi, lately I've been having serious period pains to the point of screaming and throwing up, I get them on the first day of my period, sometimes the last day, and then I get them about 4 days after my period. It honestly feels like somebody is trying to tear out my ovaries (sorry a bit graphic). Also, my periods are off, when I think I've stopped, I come back on again about 2 weeks later for about a day, sometimes two. I occasionally get pain when I'm not on too. It also seems to be giving me bowel problems aswell. I was just wondering if this might be Endo, my Mother was told she had it about 2 years ago when she lost her baby. Is it possible that I could have it too? does this sound like Endo?

I've recently re-started taking the birth control pill "Yasmin" after a month or so break. I never had any problems with it before and have been taking it as usual, starting on the first day of my period but this time my period hasn't stopped and I've been bleeding a little every day since (about two weeks now). Is this normal? Is there any way that I can stop the bleeding?

My friend used to have this problem. She'd feel so bad she'd be throwing up, taking days off school etc. She went to the doctor and got prescribed medicine, and even though she still gets the occasional cramp, there's no throwing up and no crazy dizziness etc. I think you really need to see a doctor and just list all your symptoms clearly, and they'll know what to do.

hi, i started having period problems when i was 15 they were very painful, irreguler and hevay. the GP put me on the pill which made my periods more regular, light and less painfull. i come of the pill at 17 because i was worried of the risks for taking the pill for long period of time. it was ok for about 6 months and then the same problems started to arise again. i went bk on the pill again until i was 18/19. agian my periods were ok for a couple of months then i went without a period for 5 months. know i have them every about every 3 months. my periods are heavier then they have ever been and last for 3-4 weeks. i went to see the GP again concerned that i might have PCOS because i have syptoms such as weight gain, excess hair in the breast and bum area and quick hair growth and heavy irregular periods. The GP recommended i have a blood test, which i did but the results showed everything was fine. the GP suggested going back on the pill but i'm worried about taking it for a long period. i'm tottally confused to whats wrong, during a period i constantly need the toiltet and can't go out for a long period of time without knowing there is a toilett near by. i feel frusrated with the hair growth. please is there something you could do to help?

I have a problem which I am not sure if its IBS or something else. I dont have any problems at any other time of the month, but when I am on my period I have extreme period pain and constant diorrhea for about 4-5 hours. It only starts as soon as I start bleeding. Its ruining my life because I have to call in sick to work as I cannot control when I need to go to the toilet. This only happens on the day I start bleeding and does not happen again until my next period.

Hey! Reading peoples comments on here has really comforted me about my own problems. My labia were completely normal until the age of about 12 when problems with a period pad one day caused them to become enlarged. I am now 15 and a half and they have stayed like that ever since. I've always comforted myself that I can have surgery when im older but now im not so sure what with people saying it can basically ruin your sexual sensations. For now though im trying not to worry and just wait and see if my enlarged labia will actually cause any problems for me during sex etc in the future, before I decide.

I started my period at nine, and never had a regular cycle. In my late teens I had the signs of cervical cancer, had the biopsies was put on depo shot for couple yrs because it got to where i wasn't having a period, then stopped with the shots cause i got married in all hopes to have a baby. That was 13 yrs ago. Was diagnosed with pcos. I'm extremely embarrassed of the excess hair, I do shave my face but my biggest problem is the hair on my chest. I Have To Buy Sally Hansen Blair Bleach For The Body and bleach it. I work in a business where I have close contact with folks and I can tell they notice. I also have a problem with acne. Im 33 and shouldnt have pimples! Best thing to do is talk to your ob/gyn so they can get you checked out. If you are over weight they will tell you that you need to lose weight (I'm not convinced this is a cause since there are heavier people in the family who have children). They may have to do surgery in which they laser holes in the cysts to break them up. Good luck!

Hi I'm 37, and I Havant had a period for nearly a year! Had blood tests done for menopause, hormonal etc but all ok! I do exercise a lot and doctors thought it was this but I've been training like this since I was 19 and no problems! I've had two children with no problems but it's starting to worry me a little! As anyone ideas or experienced it! Would really appreciate any input or advise!

You have my sympathies...I remember being in a similar position! You may find that the pill doesn't stop your period completely or straight away, so may not have the desired effect. Also, remember the pill is a hormone - and some people do react badly to it....I was absolutely vile to live with when I was on the pill! So you may end up enjoying your holiday less because you are grumpy. Hope this helps and have a fab holiday no matter what happens!!

Hi, I have just been dignosed with PCOS at the age of 20. I have been in the pill since I was 16 and never had any problems apart from period pain until a month ago I was meant to get my period but nothing, consistent pain (like period pain), feeling sick all the time, always tired, not eating as I should. I am not overweight maybe a little over what u should be but nothing bad. No facial hair growth or acne. I'm painfully scared and in consistant pain. Any advise or ideas would be greatfully helpful!!

Hello, I'm 17 and have currently been on my period for 3 weeks possibly longer, and before that I was on for over a week and was only off for 2-3 days before I came on again. I've had problems with extremely long periods since I had the contraceptive implant back in January 2012 I had it in for nearly two years, and was on my period continuously near enough throughout the whole thing. I was on for 6 months before I decided to go to a clinic and they put me on the contraceptive pill to get me off, while being on the pill my periods stopped, and as soon as I finished the treatment my period stopped for a little while maybe just under a month, and then I was back on again for 3 months before I decided to get more contraceptive pill. After the pill didn't work again, I decided to have my implant removed. Period seemed to go back to normal, 3-5 days every month, so i decided to get the injection. I was fine throughout that, no problems with my period what so ever. I didn't have another injection so I'm currently on no birth control so I don't know why that I'd be on for 3 weeks possibly a month, sometimes I think I have a day of no bleeding but then there will be a little bit the next day and then full blast the day after. Do you think it may be something more severe? Very scared

Hi, I just recieved my first period after almost 3 years of secondary Amenorrhea (caused by eating problems) and am worried about how much blood I seem to be losing. Everytime I go to the toilet it is filled with blood and I'm getting a lot of pain. Is this normal for the first period? And is it something to be concerned about?

I think abdominal and breast hair is normal, I'm 17 and have the same issue, I sometimes have to shave my breast hair, abdominal and sometimes even back hair! You'll learn soon that no one really cares about whethere you have hair or not, its just you as an individual, it used to bother me loads and i refused to wear a bikini or show my back or belly to anyone but now I've come to terms with it and it was all in my head, no one else seemed to care :) if it makes you feel any better then shave to hair off but I personally think theres no point haha

Alright, I'm just going to get to the point. I'm a 15 year old female and I only have one vaginal flap and I don't think this is normal. It hasn't caused me any problems thus far but it is a little concerning. Secondly, I started my period when I was 13 and I seem to have a very think discharge that increases about a week before my period. It's not very clear and white. It also has a smell to it. It's noticeable to me and quite embarrassing. Is this normal?

Whenever I am on my period, I have problems going to the toilet. I get recurring stomach pains that hurt so much I cant even stand straight and it doesnt go away until I go to the toilet, but this hurts a lot and its really hard to go. I dont know why it only happens when Im on my period but I dont like it! Help?
