Hi. I also suffer from excess hair on my jawline and upper lip. I went to see my doctor who prescribed me a cream called vaniqa. This significantly slows down hair growth, although will not remove it. I found that this worked on my upper lip, although not on my jawline. You wont see a difference until about 6-8 weeks. I think you should give it a go. Make an appointment with your doctor, as this costs a fortune if you buy it over the counter. Hope this helps

I have a lump/growth under my toenail of the big toe at the top right corner of the left foot. It is very tender and is sore all the time. I cannot wear normal shoes as the top of the shoe puts pressure on the area and causes great discomfort. The nail is growing normal from the bed but is raised at a 45 degree angle over the growth. I also have an infection on the other side of the toenails edge as it is being depressed into the flesh causing it to be ingrown. Using fucidin cream on the infection to keep it at bay but not sure what to do for the lump/growth. I keep the free edge of the nail trimmed to below the growth so it does not grow over and at an angle. Doctor said I will have to have the nail removed but that seems a tad drastic. I would like to leave that option as a last resort. Would it be possible to have the lump/growth removed and not the nail or would the nail need to be removed to treat the lump/growth?

i had the same thing at the age of 16, its cause by some sort of trauma to the toe which grows of the bone upwards, the only cure is the have the lump removed which does entaile having the nail removed. its a simple operation which is done with you still awake, they just numb your feet so you can feel anything. i was told that my nail would not grow back but it did and 14 years later i still have a nail. id get it done soon than later or its just going to kep growing

Has any on got any solutions to essessive hair growth on facial and other areas that would help black people? I have had this growth on my upper lip chin... everywhere a man has it.. only problem is I'm a woman.. so it's embarrassing.

I banged my nail a few years ago. I now have a red line running down my nail and a growth has grown under my nail. This growth becomes painful when knocked. Does anyone have any idea what this is and how it can be treated. Thanks.

I think it's another nail growing underneath but I'm not entirely sure, maybe check with the doctor.

My 13 year old daughter has really strong smelling urine & she has has poor control over her bladder resulting in her underwear being stained a browny red colour, she doesn't drink enough though & I am constantly telling her to drink more. I have taken her to gp who advised her to stop drinking coke & squash only to drink water, I explained she doesn't actually drink that much but gp didn't listen to me, told us to come back in few weeks if not cleared by cutting out coke & squash. I am worried though due to poor control & smell/stains.

There is only one thing she should be drinking, thats plenty of natural mineral water, from a spring or bottled..sparkilng works ok too...other stuff like coke wont hydrate her.! AND its full of Aspartame ( google that) Try also coconut water..the good stuff from supermarkets...the 100% coconut water..not concentrate. The poor control can be remedied too, maybe even by just that, but look at cats claw and some alternative remedies similar to that.

For sure cut out the coke and squash, the coke is really bad for her for sure and the squash is just concentrated sugar, as is the coke plus a whole load of other chemicals you dont want to know about. Water, Water, Water

i'm 15 and im a 32aa and i started my period when i was 12, my boobs were growing fine until then, after that i haven't seen any growth since and they don't seem the right shape, sort of like they're in the middle of a stage of growth but havent changed, especially after looking at the photos on this gallery i dont think its normal. i heard that your boobs will only grow 4 years after your period so i'm starting to worry if they will ever grow anymore. is there anything that i can do to increase the growth as i don't think they're normal? also i became a vegetarian when i was 11, could this of effected it from a lack of protein, even though i eat plenty of protien substitutes? i hate them, and nobody has ever seen them, i dont feel like i ever could unless they grow and it makes me feel unfeminine. i just want them to grow but i feel like i'm running out of time for any change to happen.

You're not running out of time at all. You're only 15, which is still very young and you're nowhere near finished growing. That said, even if they don't grow you should be proud of your body. I have 32AA breasts and I'm 23 and I love them. It's silly that small breasted girls want bigger boobs, and large breasted girls want smaller boobs! You should be happy with what you have, show it off! Small boobs are beautiful and we can wear tons of great clothes without worrying about bras or having our boobs hang out!

Don't worry, your only 15 plenty of time to grow, and that's a load of rubbish that your boobs only grow 4 years after your periods. On this website it says your boobs can still be growing in your 20's. Your not unfeminine plennty of adults have small boobs, you've got to love what you've got and who you are! And trust me you'll have a growth spurt, and your boobs will start growing but probably not quickly but it might be noticable if they are sore when you wake up. There are loads of people in the similar situation as you. But when you are on your periods, try drinking alot of milk because i found this helped my boobs grow quicker. But really just doon't worry about it. But when you get older and you've finished growing and your boobs havent grown much, then maybe a boob job would be in place. But i dont think that's a good idea Because you should just love the way you are. Unless your really really unhappy then yeah maybe surgary, but i cant stress enough LOVE YOURSELF! I really hope this helps,, don't worry hun you'll be fine x

Around two years ago i became really worried about the hair growth on my face and became so upset about this i shaved it off using a wet shave. I now suffer every morning having to get rid of the facial hair before applying my makeup. Do you have any advice which could help remove all this facial hair for good and stop the growth. Many Thanks.

I have been watching this show for ages and ages and have always wanted to ask this question. When someone appears on the show with a problem like poor circulation (not relating to varicose veins), acne or skin problems or excess hair growth, they are always given medication or surgery. Why not refer some of the less serious cases to Level 3 Beauty Therapists or recommend that Level 3 Beauty Therapists can be of use in the treatment of this problem as long as their GP approves. L3 Beauty Therapists are no longer silly little girls and boys that mess around with nails and make up. We are highly qualified professionals who are required by law to have an extensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. We are in contact with human bodies every day of the week and often refer our clients to their GP to have a look at a contraindication that we have found. We do not diagnose as we are not qualified to, but we do treat acne, excessive hair growth, skin problems, poor circulation, lymphatic drainage issues and a multitude of other problems. I would recommend that the doctors on the show do a little research into the amount of anatomical and physiological knowledge a L3 Beauty Therapist is required to learn and the conditions that we are required to treat as higher level therapists.

3 years?! You poor, poor person, I have had them for about a year and am following a strict hygiene regime with medication and they will not shift for me either. What sort of treatments or hygiene measures have you tried?

I have a lump or growth in my srotum on the left side and have had it for about 4-5 years and i have recently done some research and have come across Varicocele and that sounds like exactly what i have got. The growth is lumpy and soft and its not painful but i get a dull ache sometimes, and when i lay down the growth disapears into my groin. it hasnt got any bigger over the last year or so but just wanted to know what if you think it is varicocele or do you think it is something different and what can be done to reduce it or how to get it removed.

Sounds like you have poor circualtion. How are your veins? Have you had a Doppler test? If not ask for one as it will see how your circulation is.( would be arterial leg ulcer) It sounds like by the description of where abouts on your leg you have poor veins. Could also be you have poor veins- another type of ulcer called venous leg ulcer. can occur from ankle to mid calf. I suggest you go to a university library - if you can or even google venous/ arterial leg ulcers. Are you diabetic- as this has major impacts on your healing processes? Leg ulcers can start as blisters too. It does not like you self harm. Maybe go to a different hospital?

Hi I'm 19 years old and have had 4 sexual partners, one of these was a long term partner with whom I did not always use protection apart from my contraceptive pill. With the other 3 I have used a condom, however about a month ago I noticed a small growth near my vagina but closer to where the genital area meets the top I the leg. I am concerned about YE growth , I have no pain in it and there is only the one toy growth not a cluster or another one. I am too embarrassed to go and see my family GP or the GUM clinic as my friends parent works there and would recognise me obviously! Please help me!!!

One huge request to the Doctors on the show. I've noticed this serveral times, especially when watching cases of H.S.of which I am a sufferer. If a patient has "Lumps, bumps, spots & aliens" below the belt area - or under the armpits - Why when we only need to see the infected area - say on the upper thigh - do you get the poor embarrassed sufferers to strip naked & have their bit's and pieces on show for the world & his wife to gawp at? To me this is unnecessary to embarrass a patient further. Surely, a discrete towel covering the poor sufferers private parts is not too much to ask? Why, knowing how these poor people suffer - do you put them through further degredation by showing their genitals or breasts. To me that is just gratuituos titilation. Why put these poor embarrassed people through even more humiliation. No wonder - even under normal appointments - youngsters with this condition fight shy, even taking the first step of seeing their doctors. How would your 3 doctors like their "wedding tackle" hung out to dry for all and sundry to gawp at? Have some compassion Doc's - if it 'aint necessary don't show it!Let alone film it.

I'm 14 and I've had them since I was really young, you get them due to poor hygiene, but as I discovered it doesnt matter how good your own hygiene is, if you're friends with someone who has worms you will most likely catch the worms from them. You need to get tablets from a chemists which your parents can get. I get them again and again because of my sisters poor hygiene. I deal with it now because my mum goes mental and starts a five hour long discussion with ME about how unhygienic and embarassing I am to her.

I think its important to point out that it says in the article that they are caught through poor hygiene .. which is maybe what is leading some people to talk of feeling ashamed, embarrassed or dirty. It is other people's poor hygiene that enables you to pick up this infection in the first place .. any of us can get it from anywhere! Be annoyed, but not embarrassed! It doesn't reflect on you..

Hi everyone, im 32 years old, I have an 8 year old daughter, who is my world. After she was born my hair growth changed rapidly. I am now having to pluck everyday for a good few hours hairs from my chin and now my chest. I have just been tested for PCOS and it has come back positive. I asked my GP, is there anything you can do to help me with the excess hair growth, he said no you just have to deal with it. My hair growth is not just on my face, it is all over. I am currently being tested for ovarian cancer as well as pre cancerous cells on my cervix. I lost my baby last year at 15 weeks and this all seems too weird, right now I do not seem to be getting any where. The hair is so depressing I just want some advice or help. Could this hair growth be related to what they are testing for? I am more concerned now as I am 10 weeks pregnant and the hair growthdis getting worse. There has to be something out there to support women like us.

hey, i have a hairy lower back too, maybe you could bleach them if you are fair and the hair is dark? (with bodyhair bleach of course!) Or i wax mine now and then, it doesn't bother me when its winter but im im planning to show my back ill wax, you can get wax strips you heat with your hands, (veet i think they are) and get a mate to help you? Pulling the strip off in the opposite direction of hair growth and exfoliate everytime you bathe or shower so no ingrowing hairs! Soap and glory 'the scrub of your life' is the best exfoliant, but when i was young and poor i used salt in hair shower gel :-)

no being fat does not effect penis growth and the size you are now is normal the main time for growth is just an estimate and does not apply to everyone because different people mature at different rates and start at different times

Hi, I went to the doctors as I had a Skin growth on my leg for over 4 weeks, it was red and scaly but not itchy, he checked my finger nails (nothing wrong) and told me it was a skin growth and give me steriod cream to put on it 3 times a day. Two days later i was removing nail varnish from my toe nails and noticed the two big toe nails are horribly ridged and purple in the corners also a bit yellow. Im worried as this my be related to the growth on my leg. My hair has also be thinning greatly over the last two months. I im too nervous to go back down to the doctor again as I don't want to bother him should it just be something silly! Can you help?

Education around this issue is poor, very poor so we belive nothing should be seen when we look at a women private parts..rubbish! just type in vulva on wikipedia, gives examples of just a few normal vulva's!

I'm sure you are not allowed to advertise lotions, potions or snake oil on here. But just for once I hope they let this post through - for there is so little help for all us poor sufferers. I count myself lucky as my HS didn't kick in with a vengence until I was 50. I feel so sorry for the youngsters on here - who must find starting relationships hard to face. One thing that has really helped me is Bio-Oil, it really does help with the scarring and I see some Chemist outlets have it on special offer at the moment. Do try it, it really has helped my poor skin & doesn't seem to cause any reactions. Chin up, one day hopefully they will find a cure and remember you are not alone.
