My 25yr old son has had a rash now for 7 yrs. He collasped 7 yrs ago and after 5 days in 1 hospital(where he was given daily injections in his stomach and they didnt no what was wrong at this time), he was transferred to another hospital where he was diagnosed with pnemonia and septicemia. Another 5 days later he was allowed home, but since this has happened he has suffered with a rash that has gone from a slight rash to an all over rash that stings and hurts, it also looks like loads of blisters and is red and angry looking. I have taken him to doctors and hospital walk-in centres(whilst he had the rash). He was referred to a speacialist by his doctors but the specealist said that it was a waste of time seeing him because it would take too many tests to find out what is wrong. I am (and also my son is) at my wits end and dont no what to do anymore. The rash seems to appear when he is overheated or has done something (just walking to the shops can cause the rash, or a bath, which he doesnt have hot, sometimes if he is anxious it comes out. When the doctors saw it he said that it didnt look like he was allergy rash. I am still convinced that this goes back to when he was ill, i just wish we could find out what is causing it, then it might be easier to deal with and treat. Please please any advice..

I have a orange/colourless rash at the bottom of my penis which also covers my scrotum. The rash does not cause pain or itchiness but is simply annoying to look at and I was wondering what was causing it. I have had the rash of spots for a few years.

I seem to get a rash on my face towards the end of most weeks (or weekend) Not sure if it affects it, but I work in an air conditioned office all week. It's itchy and unsightly. Once the rash is out, if I moisturize, it stings and seems to make it worse. The rash will probably last for a day and then the skin in the affected areas seems to go peely for a day. I tried nappy rash cream on it on Saturday (left over form when I had a tattoo) and it seemed to dry out the skin and cure the symptoms. I haven't got a clue what it is. I have no other skin complaints

I have this as well but every day, the doctors told me to use a 1% steroid cream for eczema. It burned, and now I'm back to the same circle of itching redness, peeling then red again! If you found out what it was please let me know. I'm on my way to the doctors again as It really hurts. If they say anything worth while ill post it on here.

My partner has a allergic reaction rash, which he has had for 3 months now. We don't no what he is allergic to has he hasn't had no tests done yet, he has been on steroids now for the past 5 weeks they seem to be the only think that keeps the rash at bay. The rash is red raised welts all over his body sometimes he gets swelling round his face. We have seen 6 different doctors and no one seems to want to help us its very frustrating as my partner finds it hard to work with the rash. He has just got a appointment through to see a allergy specialist but not for another 2 months, he cant wait that long hes had enough now.Is there any way you can help.

I have a skin rash under my breast. have been given tablets for yeast but they didn't work. Then given Betnovate cream, the rash cleared up in a week time. After stopping applying the cream the rash came back. I have been using it for a month and the rash didn't clear up. Went back to GP who now also gave me Epaderm cream. Was told that I have a skin allergy and probably have to use for the rest of my life. Have been given repeat prescription for both. Would like a second opinion.

I've had this weird rash on my wrist for about 5 months now and I've been to many doctors and each provided me with a different ointment or cream. I tried them all and the rash would be almost completly gone but then it'll come back worst than ever. The doctor said that it was just an allergy rash but I'm not sure what I'm allergic to, right now I'm not allowed to eat beef, milk, eggs, peanuts, oranges and shellfish. I don't know what's wrong with my rash and it's making me really self-conscious that it's not healing. Please help me.

I have a really sore rash under both my boobs, can anyone advise me, if there is a name for it, or has anyone else got/had this. The rash itself is, very red and angry looking, the skin under my breast sort of peels, it can get very itchy, l keep putting Sudocrem on the rash, which seems to cool it, but does not take it away. I wear a sports bra most of the time apart from bedtime. I am a 38b and like a lot of ladies, my boobies have decided to go south. Can anyone give me any advice on this horrible rash? Thank you in anticipation.

Sounds like a fungus such as those that cause athletes foot or jock itch. They like warms places where moisture is present such as underneath your breasts where sweat can accumulate. Check with your doctor to be sure, but an antifungal cream may work.

Go to ur gp and ask for betnavate cream

I have had a rash for 3 months and the GP does not know what it is. He has referred me to a dermatologist but my appointment is not until 25th July. The rash started on my arm as a red , round patch which developed tiny blisters after a few days. The patch then became scaley.Since then the rash covers my trunk and tops of my legs and is spreading to my other arm and back.It is slightly itchy but is tender to touch. The rash is not symmetrical but clumps together to form larger patches. Do you have any idea what it is please or if it could be contagious ? I take 150mcg thyroxine every . Thankyou. Christine

I have a reoccurring red bumpy rash that appears under my breasts, it is not a heat rash as it happens in all weathers. It is not at all itchy but it is painful and sore. Since this has been occurring I also seem to have little skin coloured spots/pimples that started under my breasts and seem to be slowly spreading to my tummy and neck, these do not disappear like the rash does.

i get that sometimes - its caused by heat and sweat, its not heat rash as such but more that the environment is causing the skin to rub together. try something like sudocreme until the actual sore bits have healed and then use talc under your breasts to keep the area dry (dont use deodorant. i've tried it and it creates a rash all of its own since its too harsh for that area) the little skin coloured spots *do* sound like a rash of some description, especially if they're spreading - go along to your doctor and ask them to check it out.

Thanks Eleni, i will go to my gp the next time i have a falere up so he can see the full problem.

Hi I have had a skin rash for years. Its getting worse and is upsetting me as its the summer and I want to wear shorter skirts, etc. The rask is on the tops of my arms and the front of my thighs and is starting to spread to the sides of my lower leg. The rash on my arms is flat and unshapped and on my legs is the same. I took citrizine which made the rash on my legs turn into small pimples and the rash on my arms looks lighter. I have checked on the net for skin conditions but have no idea what I have. My dr is rubbish and I feel like crying all the time. please help me

My name is Viktoria, I am 14 years old and I get a rash when I get hot, exercising or sometimes stress. I've had this for around 2 and a half years, and its really disrupting me, even with things like PE, where I get very embarrassed. The periods in which I get the rash lasts for about one hour and climaxes about three minutes after exercise or immediately when I he hot or stressed. The rash starts at my neck in big red blotches, and then moves on to my face, arms, stomach and legs. Except from my face, it is more spotty everywhere else, with about a 2mm radius. Usually, I get raised white lumps on my rash, exactly like a nettle rash. The worst time was when I had just done an 800m run, and my body felt like it was boiling up; my scalp was burning red, as was the rest of my body. I have been prescribed many antihistamines including loratadine and cetirizine, which barely touched the rash. One year and a half ago, I had a condition where my hymen did not break and around 2 litres of blood was trapped; this almost made me have septicaemia. Many doctors believe that this may have caused a shock to my immune system and that it could be overworking itself, and hence producing a rash. Also, 5 years ago, I had skin scould syndrome, which could have perhaps influenced this, I'm not really sure? Is there cure?

I'm 20 and get a blotchy red rash starting on my chest and radiating up my neck to my face when i get nervous, and sometimes when i feel completely comfortable. I recently become very anxious, it was very unexpected and came on almost instanly. I experienced the rash and heat, and what feels like elevated blood pressure, for the past two days or so. How can regain a sense of calm and settle my rash and pulse??

I break out with this horrible heat rash (prickly heat rash) around the line of my swimsuits. It always starts on my buttocks just around the line of the bathing suit. I used to think it was sunburn. BUT the rash was on the COVERED part of the swim suite. So UNDER THE BATHING SUITE ALONG THE BIKINI LINE AND BUTTOCKS. The only time someone got it right and gave it a name - Prickly Heat Rash" I was in Africa. got back to Canada and my dermatologist of 27 years knew nothing about it and said she had never heard of it. CRAZY! Anyway I don't want this rash breaking out around my swim suite line on this vacation. Its my honeymoon and I really want to enjoy a little sun and sand. ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE????????????

I have suffered from prickly heat since I was a baby (I'm now 44). For some bizaar reason I don't get it in some countries (America, Australia) but always in others - Spain, Portugal, Tenerife and it always seems to appear 3-4 days into the holiday. I take antihistamines for at least a week before I go away and I also use a tan accelerator which has helped the last couple of years. The best one I found has been Elemis -pricey but it works. Also I try and stay off the sand as this irritates it and makes it flare up quicker and try to leave the hardened sunbathing until towards the end of the holiday. I think it definitely helps if you have had a bit of sun before. When we had a good summer in England I didn't get prickly heat at all but when it was cold and rainy I suffered badly once in Spain. If it does come up keep taking antihistamine and put aloe vera on.

sometimes a rash like this can be caused by the washing powder or products used , try to wash only with soap products ( suitable for babies) not Biological or detergents.. hope this might help
