Hi, I have been diagnosed as being alergic to Nickel. I have very itchy rashes wich seem to appear on all my pressure points i.e. where my body touches the couch when I sit down or lie down. I have searched several web sites that give misleading advice about diet etc. All the rashes come out very semetrical on the body. Dermavate sems to be the only cream that has any effect but I have been told not to use it long term as it thins the skin. I have had a patch test that came back very posative as Nickel intollerant but wonder whether it could be something else like our leather sofa that could be causing the problem. I have had this condition now for 5 yrs and nothing seems to help.

Chromate allergy is most likely, and is often mistaken with nickel. Chromate is used in tanning process, so any leather products would cause a rash or reaction.

Hello Michael, just to reassure you that these symptoms are NOT a sign of cancer. From what your saying it does seem possible however that you may be experiencing a problem in relation to and STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) or a possible skin condition. Your symptoms are quite vague in the sense that there are a lot of things that could be causing it. I'm sure you've heard this before, but visit your GP and he/she will be able to offer all you need. Stay safe. Shane

Your symptoms sounds very similar to what I had. I went to see a dermatologist and also had allergy tests done, both which were not helpful at all. In my case I am allergic to nickel (which is often in the metal wires in bras) perhaps this is why you have a rash under each breast? I also found that i got bad rashes in the places which i sweated more. I found through trial and error that I am allergic to washing powders and liquids. Try using a washing liquid for your clothes called Surcare, it is made especially for us with sesnsitive skin! you can get it in most large supermarkets. or just wash your clothes/towels/bedding purely in water on a hot setting. I hope that helps. Good luck!

I get rashes around my groin area and they get itchy especially when it gets hot.I went to a physician and he told me its folliculitis and gave me a remedy but its still persistence.Kindly advice

Im not a doctor.. if the rash isn't there all the time but when it is it gets worst when your hot , it could be a heat rash.. Ive had this when i was younger teens - late 20's i use to take a anti-histamine ( hay fever tablet ) or use a anti-histamine cream. Could also be Jock itch which is a fungal infection. again you can buy creams / spray for that. I would suggest seeing a different doctor as get another opinion.

Hi. I get red round rashes light in colour and that are hot to touch on my legs. They come and go within 10-15mins, they don't itch. I notice them particually in the evenings but im not sure if this is just because I'm not looking to see if theyre there in the day.

I am 29 now, Thai people. When I was 15, I travelled to England, France, Switzerland and Germany for 4 weeks. After I come back around 1-2 months, I started to have rashes over my face, hands and legs but no rashes on my body. Face is the most severe. My face swells like fat women. It was very itchy and I scratch it until bleeding. Sometime I have to put ice on it to make me feel better. At first, one of the best doctor told me that I have leprosy and inject me with something. A week later, he told me that it was not leprosy. And he take skins from my face and no disease was found. I went to see many doctors but no one could tell me what it is. Now i find out that if I stay in an air conditioner room or in cold temperature, these rashes will not come up. Everytime i stay in hot temperature just a few hours, i will start itchy and rashes will start to form up under my skin. Weather is always hot through out the year and it makes me don't want to go out. Pls help.

I've had rash issues for 40 years. It affected my penis at first and over the years spread to my face, behind the ears, genital region, and other parts of my body. After years of suffering and getting no real answer, I got the golden ticket. A doctor recommended a topical cream called Dermatop. The generic is Prednicarbate. It comes in both cream and ointment. It immediately stops the itching of rashes in 15 minutes and the rashes are gone in 1-2 days. If I get the start of a penis rash, which if gone untreated, gets open sores, the Dermatop will stop the development in its tracks. This has been a miracle drug for me.

when ever i shave my vulva before i go swimming i always get ped itchy rashes. i use a razor that has a aloe vera strip on it but still get itchy rashes. can i do any thing to help?

hi i'm 14 and also get the rash areas. if you put a little bit of moisturiser or bio-oil on it, it can tone down the redness

This can be caused by using a dirty razer, or if you shave when your hair is really tiny not long shaven it it can cause your skin to bleed or leave hair growing through spots, but if this still happens just put some cream on after an it should go down within the next day. biggest advice if you can leave your hair to grow abit then shave it your skin will be absolutely clear :) goodluck.

Well I get really mad heat rashes on my arms, neck, face and sometimes legs. I researched it and I found out that heat rashes comes because the sweat glands are blocked. It is really itchy, red and takes a while to go. It also means that I cant spend too long in the sun which is annoying being that summer is coming. Please help!

I recently got a diagnosis for Pityriasis Lichenoids Chronica. The rashes started for me 2 years ago and my GP thought it was probably fungal and I was prescribed Trimovate cream and later some pills (sorry, can't remember what they were called). Both seemed to work in the short term, but then kept coming back. A week in Spain really helped! No sign of any rashes for a good six months after that. But then the rashes did return again... Eventually my GP referred me to a dermatologist who took some scrapings - the results of which showed it was not fungal but was most likely PLC. The dermatologist prescribed me some Alphosyl cream (stronger version) and my GP prescribes it when I need more. It is pretty good at getting new PLC rashes to 'do one' after just a few days. From the conversations I have had - they don't know exact causes or cures. It is generally found in children and in adults aged 30-40 (I am 35). You're right it can be an immune system reaction or a reaction to a virus; the Epstein-Barr virus comes up most regularly in information online. I have been told it will go eventually, so just have to sit it out.

I am 13 and i have had eczema all my life, i hate it! i also get like raised rashes that are very red and sore, i get them about 4 times a year. Last weekend i got it on my face and it spead on my neck and behind my ears. The doctor gave me Fucidin which really helps but i was wondering if there was any lond term cream i can use so it will prevent my raised rashes?

i had the same thing but what you could do is leave it. When it starts to itch get a piece of tissue paper, cloth, napkin, any thing related to that ect.... add a bit of water and press it on to the rash when it really starts to itch press harder then in no time its going to fade away easy. keep trying it, it may seem like it doesnt work but in a month or so you'll see the deffrence. becuase i had the same thing last 2 years and it really helped me. it can spread on your arm the more you scratch so i advice you dont itch

im 15 years old going on 16 and im very self concious about my vaginal area. when i shave i make sure i shave downwards to prevent rashes but i still get them and there is always stubble left when i shave so it looks like i need to shave again. im going on holiday soon and im going to be wearing a bikini and dont want to have to worry about stubble and rashes showing from my vagina to my bikini line. also i would be embarrassed if my boyfriend were to see it. im begging please help!! x

Hi I had terrible rashes on my hands for years and my doctors just kept telling me to put steroid creams on them that damaged my skin. I went to a private skin clinic and they did an allergy test on me and it showed I am very allergic to nickel which is in money, zips, scissors, jewellery, needles, pins, cutlery, door handles.. tons of metal things. It's impossible to not touch any nickel but at least I can try to control it and my hands are much better with just a few little rashes every now and then.

About a month ago a small round rash appeared on my chest, the roud rash lasted about 3 weeks and after that more smaller rashers have appeared around it, they itch now and again especially after i have had a shower or been somewhere warm. I've been to my doctor and they prescribed me daktacort cream and i've been putting this on twice a day and there is still no improvement infact its only gone worse and more rashes have appeared. Its on my chest, stomach and back and a couple of patches on my arms there just small scattered lumpy rashes some are red and some are just a little darker than my normal skin colour. I just want it to go away and i'm scared it will keep spreading

Im a 14 year old girl, and have suffered from exccesive sweating for a good few years. I am not overweight, as i know sometimes this can be related. The sweating is so bad it stains every shirt i wear and i have to reuse my deodrant frequently throughout the day. I wash my armpits every morning and night with sensitive skin soap and water. I suffer from Exzma. I have tried many different over night deodrants, including Driclor, Perspirex and Anhydrol Forte. Although, i have had issues with all of these, i have suffered from brownish rashes on my under arm which have been there perminantly ever since i last used one of these over night deodrants about a month ago. Any help with either the rashes or the sweating would be really appriciated, as both are a very embarassing and even stop me from doing some things.

I have always been a heavy sweater. As a young girl my palms and feet were the troubled areas,as a teen armpits and scalp, as a senior citizen its full body (except armpits). I sweat day and night. I teach Zumba classes and must always wear black to hide the wetness. I wear headbands to stop sweat from blinding me,; thanks to antiperspirants I have dry armpits, but I get so cold after exercise and very tired waking up throughou the night because I am hot znd sweaty. I always carry a hand towel in my purse. Very aggravating situation in summer sweating outside and freezing in air condition buildings.
