Conditions with symptom: 'runny nose'
Hi. Since I was pregnant with my first child i got blocked nose and started making horrible noises when sleep - not snoring. It's nearly 5 years now and I'm expecting my third baby and my nose gone even worst. Noises are bad and my husband has to sleep in the other room, I get really blocked with runny, clear stuff from my nose. Every morning wake up with head aches and some time when blow my nose my eye starts running. Please help. I'm really tired and desperate for help. Been to doctor and got told that because of pregnancy he can't help me. I don't drink or smoke.
im a 67y old and have a runny nose ive had it for 2 or 3y now can any thing be done it keeps me awake at night and i am very tired all the next day
You are probably allergic to something.. did you recently acquire a pet or change environment?
I am 37 and have been told by my GP that as I have always been sweaty then there's nothing they can do. A gentle walk brings me out in a full body sweat and my nose starts running badly. I can't go anywhere without a tissue. Its as if my body turns on a tap and the sweat appears all over me. I have a healthy livestyle (food and exercise) and have no known medical problems. I am becoming increasingly embarrased by this problem. Can anyone suggest any treatments for the runny nose and overall body sweats?
Hi I'm suffering with block/runny nose, itchy throat, itchy Eyes, itchy ears, bad headache, struggle to sleep at night because my nose is constantly blocked and I notice these symptoms when the black mold in my home started nearly 8 years ago I've been doctors so many times and they give giving me medication for allergy but nothing works as these symptoms are nothing to do with allergy. Please help me as my symptoms are getting worst and I'm really worried ird going to be too late before the doctors and housing listen to me.
Hi,my name is Egle,im 33 years old.I have this problem, that im sick of.I tried everything and nothing makes it stop.I am getting Herpes all the time.At least once a month. If i dont have it on my lips, then its inside my nose.If its not inside my nose, then its under it.I saw different doctors about it about 3 times. And i always hear the same questions-do i eat well,do i sleep well etc.The thing is-i am a healthy person.I dont smoke,i only have a drink at weekends,i sleep well,i exercise.I almost never get sick.If i do,i only get runny nose, nothing more,i mean,i have good immunity. So i dont understand, why i keep getting it??I noticed, that it always comes up before my period or at the day im getting my period.I never had it on my genitals, only on my face.Once my gp prescribed me some expensive tablets,i cant remember the name of it.I was told once i drink the course,i will forget what cold sore is.I drank 2 courses, but nothing changed.I know you cant cure herpes virus and once you have it,it will stick with you all your life. But i wish i could get it once or twice a year, like all normal people.I probably have read all the possible information about herpes, but maybe there's something you can help me with?Thank you in advance.Egle

Hi there as like a lot of young people I have enjoyed a few years partying however my nose has really taken a beating and I think the bridge in my nose has started to erode away on one side and the cartilage in my nose feels as if it's dropped on one side, unless I told you about my nose problem you probably wouldn't notice it if you met me but me knowing about it and feeling the pain of it, it constantly plays on my mind.. What so I do?
After a considerable amount of acne on my nose, I began scratching it and squeezing it to remove spots, which has left my nose very red and inflamed. I thought that it would go away in a few months, but the redness is still there after about a year, and it is confined solely to my nose. I do not believe that there is any significant swelling or thickening of the skin on the nose, and if there is it is very small. I have no idea what I am suffering from, and it is very embarrassing; what is my condition, and how do you alleviate or stop it?
Is it possible for the worms to migrate or spread to eyes, nose, ears, throat and under the skin surrounding those areas? My family has been struggling to get rid of threadworms' for the past year but as small children don't follow strict hygiene measures at all times we're still working on it. Now it feels they are crawling in all my cavities at night, causing white linear or blotches on my skin where crawling sensation just occurs in my face. This is also giving me horrific headaches and very sore eyes. Doctors tell me I have allergy ( apparently allergy can walk )to pollen. Daytime still red eyes, runny nose and headache, nightime as a terror syfy movie. Don't know what to do, had to take steroids, antibiotics and antibiotic cream, nose sprays and now antihistamines. Paracetamol and ibuprofen do nit relieve headache either. Losing my mind here thinking I have worms in my brain and they are just guessing it might be sinuses or allergy. Not even a blood test taken after 2 visits to after hours and one in emergency room. Not sure what to make of all these strange anomalies as I never got any allergic reactions in my entire life. Thank you
Hi Monica, I have similar symptoms and this is my story which may or may not help you. I first realised I had threadworms about 18 months ago when late at night one crawled out my anus, I felt the movement and immediately checked. Totally horrified to find a single white worm about 1cm long! No previous symptoms. I checked my young children and saw they were also infected but not my husband at that point. I tried over the counter Ovex and another type 3 times over a 6 month period for the whole family, exhausted and paranoid about hygiene and scrubbing the house. I went to my GP after 6 months when I was convinced we had been re-infected, was told to hand in stool samples, and was told all clear! Days later woke at night with them back. They don't always show up in stools! Since then we have continued taking over the counter meds..nothing working. I woke one night with the sensation of something crawling into my ear, got checked at A&E and told nothing there. The sensation in my ear has progressively got worse and I'm getting itching, sharp pain at times and lots of dizzy spells. At times it feels like something crawling out. Weeks after the ear issue I was woken from sleep exhausted to irritation in my nose, I rubbed it and felt something fall out onto my arm, I couldn't see what it was but convinced it was a worm. Since that I've had constant irritation in my nose at night and early morning. I found a whiteish/translucent curved shape with a greyish head like thing in my nostril which I thought was a hair follicle..and after research found that others experienced the same and was stated to be a dead worm?? I wish I'd kept this to show my GP. I'm also experiencing itching eyes, swollen, sore (symptoms of hayfever/pollen which I have) but when I wake early morning and look at a white surface I can see floaters which instead of small black bits are shaped like worms and translucient. I'm terrified and thinking this has all spread..what's next!! I'm suffering from sinus issues and headaches..also itching on my scalp at night. I went back to my GP told him and he has referred me to the hospital infectious diseases/parasites department for investigation. I did some research on this to try and get help and found this problem seems to be a worldwide issue, worse in some countries. GP's don't know how to deal with it and I'm lucky mine was very honest in stating it wasn't his field. I pray I'm being paranoid about it all but too many symptoms are saying different. I also found out that seemingly blood tests and a string test can show if a person is still infected? I will update when I have more info from my hospital apt, lets hope we get some good news to get shot of this pest!!!
This past January I had a septal button put into my nose, because I had a very large hole in my nasal septum from a previous surgery I had when I was little. Just recently, the right side of my nose has been sore and swollen and making the right side of my mouth to hurt. It hurts to blow my nose, eat or even smile. What should I do and why is my nose hurting this much since my surgery?
