hi tali, try using virgin oil and apply in for few weeks. Y because when scabies drill a hole into your skin for one reason lay eggs so apply virgin oil is to cover the hole and suffocate the female and then y few weeks is because the eggs will hatch and this too will suffocate. every living thing needs oxygen so when you closed it up how oxygen can deliver to them. bet me virgin oil has fine nano particles so it can penetrate into the hole. The other you can used is methyl ester is even smaller particles.

I suffered from server itching about 2 years ago. I had it for up to 6 months. I got diagnosed with BV then after that was treated thrush. It became unbearable and slightly scabby. Doctors are still not sure what it is but are sticking to calling it thrush. Now it has cleared up but i get it for a week every month after my period. I have changed sanitary towels, soaps, special soaps provided by the hospital and nothing has worked. Usually canesten cream works. However now when i apply the cream it burns the skin because it is now so sensitive. I have also been tested for STI's and all came back clear as well as a smear. Doctors are not to sure what else to do now. Can you help me please

Not yet. Keep up the treatment until your foot has no more dry scaly skin or scabs. You are almost cured, you are almost there. Goodluck, because I know this skin ailment is a pain in the butt.

My mum has had psoriasis for the majority of her life. And i was clear of it until the age of 16. Since then i have had the odd patches, sometimes they can be really large, red and irritable but I personally don't believe any of the creams prescribed by the doctors are going to help it (therefore don't use them). My mum uses the creams and has been since i can remember and the only thing that has got rid of the large patches on her legs and has kept them away are UV rays. Up until now (approximately a year and a half into noticing that i suffer from psoriasis) I have only had one extremely scabby and dry patch which is on my calf behind my knee. It does not bother me however sometimes the patches on my elbow that come and go constantly can be extremely sore if I lean on them, catch them or scratch them in any way. I ex foliate my whole body intensely every day and then keep my skin well moisturised and I do believe this helps as it removes any dead cells that are there and keeps them to a minimum. Moisturising helps keep my skin from going dry and scabby. I do not use any perfumed products on my psoriasis as perfumed products can irritate skin problems and make them more sore than they already are. Hope I helped anyone who has a similar case of psoriasis like me! :)

Also I have three small lumps that feel a bit scabby in the crease between my outer labia and my thigh. My boyfriend has never had any sti that he knows about. What could this be? I'm worried.

I have been diagnosed with Bowen's disease, I have also had a Basel Cell carcinoma removed from my forearm, my question is I have on my shoulder what feels like a skin coloured area of dry, slightly scabby skin, my GP has looked at it but doesn't want to treat it by freezing it until it gets bigger or possibly turns brown, is this a symptom of Bowen's disease.i

So, I was in the Lake District last week - and went for a walk. I was out for about 3/4 hours - hiking up a hill. And it was sunny. Not having any lotion, my shoulders, arms and neck were exposed. I got the usual sunburn in my neck and shoulders - but after a few days of putting moisturiser on it to help it heal - It seemed the top layer of skin scanned and I had a patch of about 3 inches in width on my shoulder of scabby burnt skin. I have a picture if you need to see. It's been itching, so being stupid I scratched off most of the skin - I know I shouldn't have - but I did. It's now quite normal - but there are scans which seem to have cracked my skin and drew blood and scabs are dotted around. Is there anything I should be worried about. Why did it happen? When I've been sunburnt before from holidays - but never like this? Any advice would be good!

basically for the last 5 years ive had a rash on my legs, firstly its starts off as a really really small red lumps then it grows and grows until it becomes sort of scabby, sometimes they will get a clear liquid come from them but thats not very often. they are ALL over my legs i have been unable to wear shorts for the past 5 years and i find it really hard seen as though now its summer and everyone is wearing summer clothes and i cant. after they become scabby they slowly fade away into what looks like bruising then finally they disappear but ive never had a patch where they have completely gone they are always there and ive been to the doctors and ive been to dermatologists and they dont know what it is the dermatologist keeps giving me a cream called trimovate but it does nothing at all to help. they do not itch though and only occasionally swell up.

I have a wart on my middle finger and i have had it for a good 6 years or soo and its really annoying as it sticks out really far above the skin and gets really rough and scabby. also i have noticed that a few more have been developing around this wart but it doesn't seem to be forming any where else on my hands or body. i have been to the doctors and they said there isn't much they could do. i have frozen it many times filed it down until it bleeds and it still doesn't go. i have been carrying on with this process for many years and wondering do you know why and what could help. ( it also gets caugh in things and rips and really hurst)
