I know exactly what you mean, it's not a straight tunnel ! Like more than one passage.. it's weird! I can't help thinking it seems like prolapse. I'm 15 and not a virgin.. sex was absolutely fine for me though, I didn't have any problems! I'm not going to worry too much, i'll get it checked when i'm older but for now it's not going to kill me !

I have developed really hard skin circles on my knees & knuckles, they are very dark & it first came when I was pregnant but that was 3 years ago, i've been to gp who gave me some steroid cream but hasn't worked, any ideas what it is called or how to treat it please? Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to get this on your elbows??? My feet are really bad as is the skin on my knuckles which do make it hard to grip things as the skin splits and bleeds. I have steroid cream at the moment which seems to be doing very little!

Hi, I am 27 years old, going on 75! I have two excruciating bunions, and now can not even where any sort of flip flops as my feet have become so wide. I have had hypermobility in my feet so most of my knuckles have dropped anyway, but i am terrified about having surgery, and i just dont know which way to turn. The question - where is the best surgeon or what or where is best way, is an impossible question. Can anyone help? Sincerely, Desperate and wanting to walk!

Hi, I am just recovering from my second bunion operation. I have had a bunion on my left foot for as long as I can remember (heredetry from my mother's side),I am now 43 and like yourself just want to be able to walk without pain. I too have hypermobility which I am told doesn't help the sitation. My toes have suffered over the years and surgery has been necessary on them too. Originally my first operation was performed by a general orthopaedic surgeon and the proceedure is no longer recommended. I suggest you get specific advice from a specialist foot surgeon who will tell you your options. I took this course and am very happy with the outcome. The modern proceedures are very much more advanced now and they can do wonders.

So has anyone used the Xanth gel? Results? I am quite desperate now. I have had acid treatment twice which scarred me and did not prevent them from reappearing... around the scars! Re using garlic: exactly what do those of you who have tried it have done? Many thanks for your help...

The Xanth Remover did remove my Xanthelasma. A bit expensive but better than paying over 2000 for the laser removal I was quoted for....

How much is the remover.. and where can you get it?.. is there any marks at all left? Liz

I have little red bumps that appear on my fingers, down the sides and around the knuckles. one or two will appear and then disappear without causing me pain but sometimes they can spread all over my knuckles preventing me from bending my fingers and this does cause me some discomfort. it feels like i have a splinter if i push down on them. they don't scab over or anything, they just come and go. i've looked online and others who have a similar thing have been told it may be eczema but i'm not too sure?

My daughter is 26yrs old and has been very badly scarred o her face from acne. this was brought on by high levels of stress and an eating disorder. She had roaccatane and this cleared up the spots but her face is quite deeply pittd and it is affecting her whole life. she is very low about it and despite being very beautiful, she feels ugly and is desperate for help. She knows treatment is not available on the NHS and is looking into having it done privately but I am so concerned as her mum I want it done by a reputable consultant. Could you tell me where your patients went? I particularly remember a lady on your programme who was badly scarred and had successful treatment Can you help please? Thank you so much.

hi, im 15. i think i've had bulimia since i was 12 or maybe 11 i cannot remember. i eat normal meals most of the time but then i'll either snack and snack afterward(i guess you'd call that bingeing?)or if it is Friday or Saturday i'll over eat in the meals. then i go and vomit it all up if i feel iv stepped over the line of what is acceptable for me to eat. i've never really been scarred about being caught since i have my own bathroom and iv never looked into the effects of bulimia but some of the stuff people have said has really scarred me but i dont think i can stop... i cant speak to my parents and a doctor is kinda embarrasing to consider, who can i go to?? please help, im only 15 and i dont want to die young :(

its better to be slightly embarrassed explaining yourself to the doctor than to let this get any worse. they've heard it all before. you dont have to tell your parents but please, please go and see a doctor. very few people manage to recover on their own.

I agree, i am the same. Seeing all these otehr people with the same problem eases me a little. I deal with it by just keeping on top of it all. Im 15 and have noticed it for about 2 years. I am Maltese so my hair is darker than everyone elses. But i just shave away my fingers and that, it is quick and no one really looks at your fingers. My advice would be just to keep on top of things, a quick shave now and then never hurt anyone. haha. It is the most annoying thing in my life though i must say xD

im 20,iv had psoriasis for as long as i can remember.I cant remember the last time i saw my skin smooth and of normal colour. My psoriasis covers 72%of my body including the insides of my ears,my knuckles and finger joints, wrists, elbows, lower arms, tops of my arms,my back, my bum, my legs, kness, ankles and toes. luckily i dnt suffer too badly anymore on my scalp but have done and am prepared for it to probably return. I have tried phototherapy(light therapy) but as im fair skinned i kept getting burnt and missing sessions therefore not having full course of treatment, therefore not having great results.i hvae used sunbeds before and have amazing results from those but obviously worry of the risks of this. Im not so much worried of what people think anymore as iv coped with it all my life, the thing that i HATE is my knuckles cracking, not being able to lean on my elbows, not being able to kneel down and the list is endless, i have tried sooooo many things as most of you have and just wish there was more focus on our condition, does anyone have any ideas for some sort of organisation that can promote this??? please write back.

As others have posted, I too have problems with "tonsil stones," i.e. food which gets stuck in my scarred and pitted tonsils which festers and becomes putrid. Causing bad breath and terrible self consciousness. I was very disappointed to see the Series 3 Episode 3 referred to the symptoms but didn't follow up the cause or solution later in the show. Please can you tell me if this is going to be addressed in a later show? If not what is the point of showing the complaint in the first place. I hope the show takes this complaint seriously. I know from my own condition that it "rules my life" with regard to how close I get to others, constantly concerned my putrid breath will cause offence. My own doctor doesn't take the complaint seriously telling me there is nothing wrong with me and that scarred tonsils are normal.

I agree with you. I watched that episode twice in case I missed the update first time. Was very disappointed it didn't show how the man with the problem got on. As I too have that problem.

Hi, I also struggle with really bad anger problems, and when I mean bad I mean to the point where I get angry at such little things for example if my pen stops working just once I throw it as hard as I can and I just start punching things. I've been to a few anger management sessions but they didn't go so well (I don't want to go into detail about that) and I thought I was never going to get better (this was about a year ago) and even though I've had help I still have the same anger problems today, I don't know what is wrong with me, like sometimes I get so angry I literally have thoughts about killing someone and if I don't stop myself I sometimes almost actually act on that and when I do catch myself trying to act up on it I remember that its not right and I end up destroying my knuckles to the point where I have to go to the hospital for them to check if it's broken or not, and somehow my knuckles have never broken, and I do punch walls full on very regularly, and by the way I'm only 16. One thing that I found that helps me calm down when I'm angry is listening to music, find a few song's that you really like and that have a calming affect on you and whenever you feel like your getting angry just stick earphones in and try to relax. That's what I do and even though I still cannot calm down totally using any techniques it might help you. One thing that does help me though is talking to a person who knows my situation, understands what I'm going through, and she just genuinely knows how to make me feel better, and she usually does make me feel better and happier. Just find that one person that you feel comfortable talking too/with and whenever you feel angry stick music in and see if you can talk to them. I hope I helped. :)

my father had relatively severe psoriasis for over ten years and creams/light treatment did nothing for it. Then after many visits to a doctor he got a prescribtion for drug called HUMIRA. It's an injection and it is quite expensive but it worked for him. Nowadays he has onluy little spots on his knuckles.

Hi I have had vitiligo since I was 6. I have it on every joint on my body knuckles wrist elbows knees around my eyes mouth and so on. As the years go on the patches get bigger. I don't really feel it's a bad thing I just think it means you look a bit diffrent and it gives ya summit to talk bout when u meet new people!

This can be caused by migration (the bar or ring moving around in the skin slightly). The majority of belly button piercings do migrate, due to clothing being restricted around that area (e.g. waistbands) and irritating the piercing. If you do have scarring, it will fade to an extremely pale pink over time, becoming virtually unnoticeable.

I would check to see if u've got an infection maybe from sweat or clothing particles, try cleaning it with tea tree oil as that will get the infection out if their is one otherwise maybe go to the piercer and see what they say, it might be scar tissue?
