Im 15 and have a rare condition called short annogen syndrome. this is where the life span of the hair is only a few months when it shold normally be around 8 years. iv been to a hair specialist and a scalp specialist and have had doctors from around the country looking at my hair. My hair is very very thin and wont grow past collar length. i have to have it cut in a short length. it is quite embaressing because people used to ask if i had cancer. its not as noticable in then style ive got it but i was wondering if there was anything i could do to make it grow at least abit thicker? thankyou.

Hi Bethany, I stopped taking my anti-depressants which I realised were causing my hair loss and this made it thicker - eventually. It is still not perfect though. I don't know of anything else. If you get your GP to refer you to a dermatologist - ask the dermatologist for a prescription for a wig/hair piece - if you feel you want one. Also there is a product called Mane which is a spray you can use on your hair/head which makes your hair look thicker the website is www.maneuk.com it just washes out. There is another similar product I've heard about called Touchback but I've not tried that yet.xxx

I have Skin Tags and i think warts which do come up when i have been in the sun and can be itchey, they are randomly all over my body but mainly on my legs. I did go to a specialist who said they are not cancerous and they have a life span of four years or so, 7 years later they are still there and im sure i have more, please can you advise me on a way to get rid of them.

Evening primrose oil capsules. Take 5 a day for two weeks, then two twice a day for a week, watch it clear up like magic. You may have to stay on two caps a day to prevent outbreaks, but what a relief. I suffered for two years before I tried this at the suggestion of my brother who cleared up cystic acne using it. Works for both. I am also an RN by education and worked for 30 years as one. Never seen anything else like this work for eczema.

I'm 24 and I suspect that I have a short frenulum considering that it prevents a full retraction of my foreskin. I think it's not phimosis though because if the frenulum wasn't short I would probably be able to retract it. Nevertheless, I haven't had any problems with this but I didn't have any sexual contact yet so I don't know if this will cause any problems if I do in the future. In addition, will it be discomforting when using a condom?

It does sound like you have a short frenulum-the medical term is "frenulum breve". You could try gently stretching it (searching for "stretching exercised for frenulum breve" should bring something up, or there is a minor surgical procedure called a frenuloplasty. Circumcision is totally unnecessary to treat this condition so if your doctor suggests it I'd keep asking for other opinions until you find a doctor who will perform a frenuloplasty instead. Sometimes a condom will cause an unpleasant pulling sensation so you might want to look at treatment now before you are sexually active with a partner. Good luck!

I'm nearly 18 and even a 34 A is much too big for me, but I daren't go any lower. I'm sure that this is not from my genes because on one side of my family the average size is are full B-C cups and on the other side full C cups and up. I did recently loose over 20kg in the span of a year, bringing me from a size 12 down to a 6-8, but even before the weight loss my breasts weren't much bigger than they are now. Could this weight loss have effected my breast growth?

I'm Amy and I have just turned 14. I haven't been diagnosed but I think I may have ADHD or ADD. I have a very short attention span and often get told off by my teachers for daydreaming. I am never seem to be able to be calm and I am always talking... I'm finding this very annoying as whatever is wrong with me is getting me into trouble at school. I can also be quite disorganised... I think I may have ADHD but I don't know how I could tell anyone...should I ask my teachers, friends, parents or doctors whether they think I could have it?

I am now in my 47th year!! I have been experiencing hot flushes and very intense night sweats. When I am due on I become someone else and as I didnt understand what was happening, I thought that I was losing the plot and couldnt seem to snap myself out of it. I also have great difficulty sleeping and am awake most nights, all night. I have a very short attention span and get very frustrated because I forget the simplest of things. I am, at the moment spending christmas with my mother but when I get back home I will definately be taking a trip to my GP for some help. Thank you for putting my mind at rest. Thank goodness Im not going madder than I already am. :)

you have just described me! Im 31 and am still trying to find out what is wrong with me. I find it exhausting going from one extreme to the other and so does everyone around me. I also alienate people without even knwing it. I know food has had a big impact upon my behaviour ie the more processed and involving colourings the worse I am. Sorry I cant be of more help, good luck she will find it hard if it impacts her ability to make friends.

hi wendy this sounds very similar to my son , he is also 2 and doesnt talk very much at all apart from a few odd words but my friends kids can have full conversations i have a daughter and she was talking fully by 2 so it is unusual i think he may be borderline on the autistm spectrum, we went for a hearing test last week but they couldnt assess him as he wouldnt listen for the beep playing the game - he didnt understand it and didnt have the attention span my son understands simple things like your daughter , he has just started blowing kisses at bedtime and thats a really big thing would love to hear more from you annette x

Hi wendy & annette, my daughter sounds just like your two. She's only just 2 but saying nothing. I know she can hear as she'll run from 2 rooms away if her favourite tv program comes on! But I'm sure she wouldn't be able to do the listening test you describe as I don't think she would understand what to do either. It's like she doesn't understand what she's being asked to do. As you said she can follow some one or two word instructions but even then only ones that she's heard a lot. She waves & claps but doesn't point or blow kisses. She's bright enough in other respects she just struggles with language. She doesn't have most of the key autism symptoms like you said wendy. But I still wonder if she's borderline. Then again as someone said they all reach milestones differently maybe she just needs longer. I know a couple of people who say their child was 2 before they spoke so I know it's possible. Can't help but worry though so it's nice to hear from others in same situation.

Your little boy does not need you to find him embarrasing, he needs your help and support. If you do not address this asap then it may be something he suffers from for his whole life. Also it does not hurt when you pull ht ehair out - you almost hypnotise yourself and the pulling is not painful. It is comforting. Consider finding a way that he can be comforted other than the pulling. Also does the hair pulling mean he gets more attention? If so it may be the attention he craves and he should be given attention but not in relation to thepulling. He should not be able to associate getting attention with the hair pulling. Good luck. Do not ignore the problem.

Hi I'm a 28 year old male from north west England who suffers with ADHD, I was diagnosed at age 11 and have struggled to cope with general everyday tasks, before I was diagnosed I was the naughty kid at School. My concentration span is very short and I find it impossible to be seated for any period of time, I'm always twitching and and get bored very easy. My behaviour deteriorates and I'm constantly high rate all the time. Once I'm angry I find it hard to calm down and can find myself still stressed hours later.

Age 14, I have ADHD, OCD and partly ODD. Does short term memory loss take a part in any of these at all? I often am in classes where the teacher explains something, i feel like I'm paying full attention but like 10 seconds later i completely forget. It bugs me when i read books, i forget what happened from the last paragraph sometimes.

I am genuinely sick of people saying don't do it for attention. Hurting oneself with the end goal of attention is a problem within itself and is likely related to a mental illness like Münchhausen Syndrome or a personality disorder. Just because your SH is not caused by that particular type of mental illness does not give you the right to judge others and they have as much right to treatment, respect and help as everyone else. Self harming for attention is a problem within itself as it suggests they need another's concern and care to feel okay. That is something that needs treatment, not scoffing at.

I'm 21 yrs old i have smoked and drinked but my penis was never average before i started.and I have a four in. Penis. It litteraly looks like a child. When I was young my family member had a huge penis, he told me that if I jack off all the time , i developed a bit off a porn problem and jack off frequently. normally i cum in less than fifteen minutes. Grows to close 2 six inches give or take. My only problem is I have short short sex stamina. Once I'm inside I try all kinds of tricks I've read but I still can't satisfy her. We only have missionary sex because my penis slips out in almost every position, I get so tired of having missionary sex that I have pretended to cum sometimes just to go to bed. I just wish my penis was bigger. Or heck even if I can just satisfy the woman I love. I fear one day it will lead to ruining our marriage. Like it has ruined my confidence. Please help me. This is such a emberassing thing. I'm almost positive I need medical attention

oh love, i've done that. its not attention seeking to want help with emotional problems. tell somebody, self injury thrives on secrecy and while it may help you feel better short term - its not a solution that you can keep up. try the samaritans, nhs direct, a friend, a teacher, your GP. its hard to 'come out' as a self injurer but its the only way to beat it. when my friend told my parents they freaked out a bit, there was a bit of shouting and crying but im glad i was finally outed because the problem wasnt just mine any more, there are people willing to help if you just open up.

Martyna, Many guys see your 'problem' as a great asset. I'm guessing that you think it is much more prominent than it actually is. You are a woman, don't be ashamed, embrace your sexuality. Enjoy the attention. Why do some women who have larger breasts wear lower cut tops? Because they are proud of their bodies and the attention it brings. Feel blessed, not cursed!

im 15 and throughout my life i never payed much attention to my penis- when i finally did start paying attention i first has trouble pulling back my foreskin fully, now that problem has gone i seem 2 have my top part of my penis kinda attacted to the bottom of the penisend. please help me as i will not go to the doctors directly and im in dire need of it

I recently started dating somebody with inverted nipples and honestly like them a lot. Ladies, don't be scared. The only extra attention you'll get other than, "BOOBIES!" is attention that you draw. I've never heard a bad thing about inverted nipples from a guy. :)
