If you have been circumcised, you should not have a foreskin. Perhaps it was a botched circumcision.

I have suffered from constant bladder, kidney and urinary track infections for over two years now. I bleed after sex and find it sometimes to be unbearably painful, I have taken nearly every antibiotic going for the infections... my swab tests for sexually transmitted infections always comes back clear and I never have periods due to the pill I take (cerazete) Yet still get horrible stomach cramps/ lower back pain all the time. I'm constantly bloated and have been told to take tablets for IBS which i've never suffered from before... I've been pestering and nagging my doctors for some more investigation because I feel so run down all the time and sore, are the water infections possibly to do with endo? I'm so fed up, currently waiting to see the gyno. So fed up :(

Hi i was the same as you, back and forth to the doctor. In the end my bladder stopped working i had i cafiter fitted and in hospital for a week with infection. In pain all the time but nothing was done untill last week. After another water infection and sick every day for 10 days with no food, they took me back to hospital, to give me fluids and antibiotics. My periods were none stop from may this year. Huge clots and in bad pain, back and forth to the gyne departent and urine clinic while they blamed each other. I saw an oncall doctor by chance. He looked at my notes sent me for a scan and biopsy's. Got me back in and said its endo, within 2 weeks was in having op to have it removed. And treatment to my bladder which now works. And he clipped my ovaries off so in feb i can have my womb and cervix taken away. When i came back to the ward he said it was everywhere. I was in alot of pain at first but its settled now a little. But most of all they found what was wrong. Go back to the gp and demand a reff to the hospital, its ur right to have that. Tell them how you feel and how much effects your life. Ibs they tried that with me. remember u know ur own body. hope this helps......and sorry it's so long ha. Good luck xx

im 23 years old and have suffered with UTI since I was 19. i had a 6 month period where i had no infections. reasons for this is unknown. i get infections every 3-4 weeks where the infection will come on within a couple of hours. from just frequent painfull urine to blood in the urine. all urine analysis have come back with no bacterial growth. i am free from all STI's as have had these checks done twice. i have had viginal swabs done at my GP's for yeast infections and any abnormalities. i am currently taking an antibiotic called nitrofurantoin 100mg for 7days. this is the only one that works. i drink about 3 litres a day and have cut most sugar out of my diet and take a probiotic and cranberry sachet each day from boots. please help.

Hey Emma, I'm not a health professional but I have had similar symptoms. I have had a year long battle with uti's and it seems I'm prone to them also. I don't get blood, that could be tiny burst blood vessels and I heard that shouldn't be a worry but I used to get pain urinating also. What helps me is chamomile tea drink it the morning and night make it strong also parsley tea helps. I took nitrofurantoin as well and I feel I just need to be super cleanly and wash with gentle soaps and femine products and use cotton undies. I feel your pain I hope all gets better for you. Take care :)

I have a mole on my left inner thigh, ive had it since birth but lately ive noticed black patches and the edge is not smooth its also at least 6mm or more. My biggest worry is that its been aching and throbbing lately. Im booking for an appointment but last time i went to my GP he worried me said that it would definately be coming off when the dermotologist had seen it he said it would be best for me to keep it as the scaring would be 100 times worse and it didnt look a problem to him. I am worried though as have been having infection after infection, 3 kidney infections in 5 months water infections every other week and tonsillitis twice in the past 6 months and i know that cancer could be causing these infections ive just been so unwell and need answers. Thanks for anybody who reads this.

Chloe Have you recently been checked, did you find out what it was! I to have found that my mole has raised on half of it which has a dark brown pattern and slight jagged edge on my thigh ! I have been using the sun beds! Please reply n tell me you were ok ?

For 3 years now been treated at hospital for constant infections, (just get treated, 2-3 days later infection returns) have tried varying strengths of antibiotics, had scans and also been treated for interstitial cystitis but that gave me more infections. Been for both flexible and rigid cystoscopy and no signs of tumors or leisions in bladder. One kidney has scar tissue due to constant uti's since i was around 12 ( am 33 now) been told problem is bladder not emptying properly so next step is to try self-catheterisation but first have to get mri scan done to check for any other damage? Now been waiting almost 6 months on appointment and still having constant infections! Also always seem to have colds and catch every bug thats going! Wasn't like this before, is there anyone else with same/similar problems?

I have suffered with uti's many times in the past so have been tested for all sti's, infections and utis and all tests have come back negative. My doctor says they have no idea what it could be. I am on the contraceptive pill and also take antibiotics after sex to prevent infections as it is often very painful. Any help or advice please its driving me insane?

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS OE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT MIGHT BE? PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!

I am 17 years old and have a enlarged labia. Growing up I wasn't aware this would cause any problems and I thought it was normal, until people were more open with their bodies and I started seeing other labias that never quite looked the same as mine. For years I've looked into various diagnosis's for my frequent infections and thrush, including urinary tract infections and endometriosis but none of these were 100% correct. Then I saw embarrassing bodies and summed my infections up to the fact I have an enlarged labia. It causes me frequent pain and also knocks my confidence, I can't do normal things young adults my age do, I can't sleepover at a friends house, I cant change in front of a friend and it's making me feel as if this is going to be a prolonged, agonizing, antisocial life. As well as the pain it's affecting my year long relationship as I have intimacy issues and because I have frequent infections it causes pain during sex and I don't like him seeing it, is there anything that can be done about this because I'm too scared about it to go onto embarrassing bodies and be filmed as my confidence levels really are affected, and cannot afford the treatment privately but really want a pain free life, is there anything that can be done? Thankyou.

I'm in your age and as I've said before in my posts you should go to a gynaecologist, just find a good one if it's your first visit - you can ask your friends or mum if they know any good doctors (without telling a reason why you want to see him, just tell "it's just my personal case, I want to see him because I want to be calm"). You won't find out if there's something to worry about if you won't see a doctor, right? :) I'm sure that in this show "Embarrassing Bodies" is a possibility not to be shown in TV, they are doctors and for them your health is most important - not if you'll be shown in their program or not, I guess, I don't know how this show is being made? You can probably call them and ask if there's this possibility not to be filmed? Unfortunately there's no more you can do about it on your own hand but I truly believe you'll find a solution, Ellie :).

I have always suffered from hearing problems as a child. I have had grommets 3 times as a child. When I turned 17 I had T-tubes. They didn't work. Unfortunately I'm having 4 to 7 ear infections in 3 months. The last time I went to the gp they said there was a hole in my ear drum. I have been referred to the ENT. I don't want anothe t-tube as my ear drums are badly scared from ally he operations and infections. I don't feel comfortable takeing so many antibiotics in such small space of time. Is there any operation available for me ?

My daughter has suffered with eczema since she was born and is now 4 years old. It was so bad at one point that she was on antibiotics quite often due to skin infections. we tried all the usual prescribed creams and bandages. Once we got the infections under control with using antibiotics and a 1% hydrocortisone cream for a very short period, we now use double base shower gel to wash her and then use it as a moisturising cream all over. This was recommended by a dermatologist that we saw and since then we have had very little problems with her skin. It is far from cured, but we have not had any infections since and it has reduced the amount of scratching. Some areas of her skin are now heeled and problem free and trouble areas such as the back of her knees are much improved. Its what has worked for us.

Hi I'm Stacey & I have been suffering with countless Staph Infections since I was a teenager. They used to just burst & heal up, leaving scars but since 2007, they have had to be cut out, with no guarantee they won't come back. Which they do come back, twice as bad & in different areas. For the last 2 & half years I have been on antibiotics Glindamycin(that only help when taking, once finished the infections come back)& Probiotics 3 times a day. I'm in extreme pain, as the infections are usually in the groin, breast & hip/bum area, where clothing & skin constantly touch. Does anyone know who can help me? I've seen more than 3 different GP's and with no end to my miserable suffering, in sight.

Hi Stacey, I too have been suffering with countless Staph Infections for the past 4 years, I have had two surgically drained I have been on various powerful antibiotics for the past 4 years including, Flucoxicillin 500mg 4 x day, Linzolid 600mg 2 x day, Rifampicin to name a few and they seem to temporary work at the time then as soon as I complete the course the boils/Staph infection appears again, everytime they come back worse and i get them on my legs and now recently on my arms to, I really sympathise with you as unless you suffer with this people dont understand how painful and unpleasant it is, I have seen Dermatologist, infectious Diseases consultant and they don't know how to treat it now as no antibiotics seem to be working only suppressing the infection (What I have is called PVL Staph, simular to MRSA. I have had many hospital admissions, one recntly last week, their waiting for swab and blood culture results, still in progress, I have suffered a lot of stress and anxiety from this as I have not been able to hold a job down due to recurrent infections and hospital appointments and it's so upsetting and frustrating as I am feeling as if I am being left to suffer, surely the consultants etc ca test me to find the route cause of this but it's probably due to lack of funding in Wales. I wish someone could help me. If you get any answers or cures, please tell me.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem as alison. Its painful sometimes wearing certain underwear and i never feel clean. I would say I have more excess skin than Alison in the video, can I get this on the nhs, or would I need to pay a ridiculous amount? Also could this be the answer for my re occurent water infections and yeast infections?

Mine is causing me a lot of discomfort, infections, rubbing on clothing. Wore thongs for 10 years and then in my early 20's they became too uncomfortable to wear as my vaginal area seemed to swell and become prone to infection, yeast infections, UTI infections, bacterial vaginosis infections and discomfort and intercourse has become impossible. Periods pretty much stoped, doctor couldn't tell if it was PCOS or not, wouldn't diagnose vaginismus either. I am 22 years old now. Cannot have sex, don't have periods and have a very dry (too small vagina) and large vaginal lips. Doctors won't do as anything to help me.

29 fm here, I have had this before associated with a mild yeast infection it was on the outside of my "lips" and around the opening. Took some over the counter cream to treat yeast infections and it cleared in roughly five days. Im no doctor but this is what worked for me. If your in burning unbearable pain with flaming red irritated Skin And sexually active I recommend getting checked. That would be a huge red flag. Yeast infections are very common for us ladies in and around our intimate parts because of the moisture and folds.

you cant, it's the process when they remove skin unless you want to get somebody else's skin attached its pointless and its better to be circumcised because you don't get infections or b/o down there. Im sure your fine, dw about it, Everyman's beautiful in there own way (Y) i hope that helps, if not i'd advise you to go and see your gp

I'm so upset. Iv been waiting on the outcome of an appeal for funding for my access skin on my stomach removed. Its been regent ed by panel. I had a stomach bypass and lost 17.5st but I have a lot of skin under which I get reaching infections. I can't believe I have to go through life with smelly open infected skin . Hi, I too had a gastric bypass a number of years ago and lost over half my body weight resulting in excess skin on my stomach and arms. I am prescribed an anti fungal spray as I get smelly itchy areas but my GP practice has refused to put me forward for consideration for surgery. I've maintained my weight loss within a good range for over 5 years and the excess skin also affects me mentally and emotionally, in over 5 years I've had to wear cardigans and jumpers throughout every summertime as I cannot bear for anyone to see my arms....my partner of almost 5 years has never seen them or even seen me naked or in my underwear! We can't even go on holiday together, it really is affecting every aspect of my life. Not sure what to do or where to turn.

I am 21 and have been on the pill for 6 years, for the last year and a half to two years I have had re-occuring UTI's. I have had approximately ten infections all together. I am currently recovering from two in one month and it is getting beyond the joke. I have researched and asked my doctor about what I can do: he said the following: - urinary infections can occur, for some women, after EVERY time they have sexual intercourse (thankfully this is not the case for me!!) - that rough intercourse or not urinating after intercourse can cause infections. -Lack of water can cause infections. - Too much sex can cause infections. -to prevent UTI's insure you wipe front to back etc. Now, I have an issue, I follow what he has told me, I keep clean, I don't have 'too much sex' or rough intercourse, I am religious about urinating after sex and I drink plenty, including a lot of cranberry juice. Now... i want to know what I am doing wrong? Why do I keep getting these infections? I have had so many types of anti biotics, I think I will eventually become immune to them all. Is there nothing more permanent we can take to stop this? it is a hassel, it hurts, it makes me lack confidence to go out due to need to urinate all the time etc. The anti biotices affect my contraceptive pill and I am at my wits end. I really want this to feature on the show, or to get something out there for everyone. Please help EB!!!

I hope you get some help as I to was told to do all of the things you mentioned ie. wee after sex, drink only water and drink more. I would say tell your doctor that you want to see someone at hosptial for this or try and change doctor if possible. GOOD LUCK!

I have just watched an episode of embarrassing teenage bodies where one girl was told that the extra skin down below could cause infection. I am currently suffering from cystitis and have done before, i also suffer from thrush quite often and am wondering if it could be because of extra skin that i am getting these infections.

I've had recurring infections for years and the best advice I've been given was my doctor told me to have a wee every time after sex - it has really helped to reduce the frequency of infections.
