Hi I have been diagnosed with PCOS and I'm seeing a gynae. My big problem is that I cannot allow my husband to fully penetrate me as it hurts too much. It's so bad even when I've been to see gynaecologist they have not been able to give me an internal examination as my muscles spasm and I get so tight and anxious they stop. Can I ask to have the examination under anaesthetic? Please help I really want to try and conceive but it is so hard to allow my husband to fully penetrate.

Have you been checked out for lichen sclerosis? You should check with your dermatologist or GYN. The intense itching at night is linked to liken And would need a specific steroid cream to treat it.

Hi there. I have had kidney stones twice, once in 1999 and again in 2010. Both times my left system was completely blocked. I had surgery the first time to remove them and the second time I had a nephrostemy and then lithotripsy which broke the kidney stone into smaller stones which continued to block my left system. Eventually they were removed surgically. since my second bout of kidney stones I have had terrible, continuous pain in my left kidney, although the pain does feel different to stone pain. I am unable to lie on my left side and if I breath deeply I get a kind of spasm in my left kidney. This pain is making me totally miserable. I informed my consultant of this pain and he just shrugged his shoulders and said that there were no stones left according to my x-rays and that I would just have to put up with it. He then discharged me. I have been back to my GP but they keep giving me antibiotics in the event of an infection but nothing seems to help. can anyone give me any advice. I feel as if my left kidney is swollen, I can feel it all of the time.

My condition is getting alot worst now with my face spasming out 12 times daily. docotors tel you not to stress and rest but this seems alittle difficult as a single parent. Lately i am now getting twitching in my left eye which is scarry as this is how my spasms started in the right side of my face. Two suffer both sides is said to be very uncommon so hopefully it doesnt progress. i am now waiting for my first lot of botox injections hoping this will help. kelly

Hi there. Im 20 years old and have currently been with my bf for 3 years, sex was great at first, but now it is impossible. I feel so much pain whilst having sex, dont get "wet" easily and there is so much spasm and tension below. Ive been to see a GP and have been told i have "vaginismus" which is spasm and tension around the vagina causing deep pain etc. It is very hard for us both, and we are constantly on a rocky road. Ive been given creams, dilators, anesthetic cream and waiting for a scan. I was wondering has anyone else or is anyone else currently going through the same? or have experienced it? I was considering applying for the show as it has really gone too far now and i dont know what else they can do for me.

Hi, I am 19 and am having a similar problem.. sex has become hard as it causes alot of irritation and soreness during and after.. I also seem to have a problem staying 'wet' - i become dry quite quickly during sex and this means my boyfriend has to finish quickly! It has become very frustrating and it makes me not want to have sex...I am worried about the impact this will have on our relationship - we have been together two years and he is so understanding but knowing he and his previous partner had no problems makes me feel bad! I was just wondering if you had any advice as you seem to have tried alot of things to put a stop to this? I am on the pill and often wonder if this may be causing a problem as it gives me quite regular bouts of thrush? I'm afraid I have little in the way of advice for you, apart from I have found regular use of aqueous cream (at least twice a day!) around the vulva and opening of the vagina keeps things moist and helps a little with irritation.. I hope you can help me!

Hello, When you say, you had to have your gland removed - which gland? Was it the lymph gland in your neck? I have had a problem with eye/facial spasm/twitching and numbness for approx 8 years now and it has been diagnosed as Blephospasm, Hemi-facial spasm and Bells Palsy. I have a lump, (a lymph gland) in my neck that seems related asnd it is constantly enlarged and wonder if you had the same and if this is what they removed and why?

I have had CD for 4 years and receive Botox injections every six months and take the usual medication. Relaxation techniques worked well when the pain is most severe and when the muscles are in spasm and on a daily basis. As well as the usual tricks, touching the chin back of the neck etc. I find raising my arm and stretching the spasm out gently helps. I used very basic yoga stretching techniques to control spasticity and meditation to control symptoms in stressful situations. The dystonia has improved in the past year.

an orgasm is basically a spasm - heaving or being sick is the same mechanism. i have no idea what to do about it but if you're worried then i'd suggest going to see your doctor.

i was worried i had IC after a bladder infection left me feeling not quite right, i use the bathroom sometimes once a day and max is usually 3/4...does this put me out of that catagory for IC? the only symptoms i have is sometimes a bit of pressure and a mild spasm feeling, its rare though

Hi, when masturbating, is it normal to feel like you need a wee afterwards, this is what I just felt, I'm quite confused about how girls masturbate, are you meant to have a little spasm while doing it? I do! How long does it normally last for and can it be anytime of the day? Please someone reply to me so I am less confused, thanks :)

I was recently diagnosed with what they call a pelvic floor spasm. Symptoms can vary however it causes me to have uti like symptoms with burning and the feeling of having to urinate. Tampons, sex etc set it off but I have been given a numbing cream for it. Maybe look this up?

When I need a wee it's fine until I'm just finishing and I start to get an almost painful spasm in the front if my vagina(I think it's my clitoris?) an it makes me feel like I need the loo again however I can't go /: it's really frustrating as there isn't anything I can do to stop it. I feel like my body is playing tricks on me, what could it be?

it sounds alot like you have cystitis its a bladder/urinary track infection and can be very painful, its commmon in women who are sexually active, peeing soon after sex can help stop it coming back but in the mean time you should really think about going to see your GP, just to make sure he or she will probably ask for a urine sample and if it is cystitis you'll be given a short course of antibiotics, if it is cystitis drinking cranberry juice can help with the symptoms. hope this helped....

Hi im 24 I have exactly the same problems , iv had ibs since I was 13 but had a really bad spell over the paste 3 months . Do u have really bad spasm and have you had a scan or anything im waiting to have the endoscopy at the moment just wondered if u were getting anywhere? My doctors keep sayingbits my ibs but I literally cant eat of I want to go out on ky bad days I can go 6-8 times my worst was ten times in one day without eating?

You might have a form of vaginismus- look it up... it causes involuntary spasm of the vagina muscles, which is what makes it feel "tight". I had it and had to work with dilators for a couple years, and deal with some emotional stuff, and now its almost always all good. Sometimes I still shut down, but its usually a sign of something being a bit off for me, or not feeling comfortable 100% even if I am turned on. Just a thought :)

I have had Prolapsed Rectum for 19 years ... Done all the exercises, been poked and prodded and always told to do more e exercises take laxatives ,pain killers , anti spasm pills etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. Please what can I do to live without pain .

It could be dystonia, but the best thing I would suggest it to have a neurologist perform an emg on your muscles. This can show if your muscles are in spasm. Also I would recommend blood work, to see if you have any other conditions. If you do have dystonia there are treatment options available, but there are no cures. I wish you well

I have got a terrible pain in my neck, for the past 7 weeks, no painkillers have helped me, nor accupunchure. or massage. please can u advise me as this is non stop pain. im not even sure whats wrong. all i can guess is a neck spasm. please please!

no one's back shouldnt become sore due to masturbation however, you may experience back pain due to a muscle spasm and during masturbation it tenses up. try deeply breathing when u masturbate it should help alot if not your friend should really talk to the doctor

I'm 36 and about once every 2 months on average I have a 'paralysing' dream, whereby I wake from a nightmare (usually very realistic) but can barely breathe, can't hear very well and ALL my muscles appear to have gone into spasm - which is quite painful. I also have the feeling of being extremely frightened and it takes me hours to finally move my toes, let alone the rest of me! It will stay with me all day afterwards - any suggestions to help me avoid these?!
