Not a question about sperm allergy, its still about sperm, but couldnt find anything else to help...my partner got a certificate 4 years ago, advising that he has 35% motility, everything else such a viscosity, morphology were as they should be,however it states sperm is 75 million per ml,which he was advised is quite high,is there anything we can do to improve motility as we have been trying for a baby for about 12 months with no joy,or will be need to be considering fertility help? We have tried all the ovulation tests, sex every other day etc,any advice really would be appreciated.

i have recently been diagnosed with a sperm allergy at an allergy specialist in Glasgow. I have been given an EPI pen for when my reactions happen, however me and my partner of over 3 years would like to start a family in the near future and my specialist was very unhelpful and basically told me on the day 'if i try for a baby i could end up in a coma and that its not an option to try for one' that was it. its alot to process and i would love to know how i can go through desensitization in the uk as i cant find anything on the internet, so any information would be very helpful

Hi, I live in Edinburgh and I am convinced I have a sperm allergy. I have been to loads of GUM clinics, doctors etc and been tested for a tonne of different things, but no one seems to be able to tell me what the problem is. Could you possibly give me the name of the clinic and the doctor you saw?

Hi, I have had a fish allergy since around the age of 2,1/2 now I'm nearly 15 and wonder if there is any possibility of outgrowing my allergy...or is it to late? Also, is there any methods or treatments which will maximise chances of out growing my allergy. My allergy seems to be less of a problem now but I am worried it may be a life long deal.

I'm a 57 yr old female who still enjoys sex, more now then when I was younger. Through the years I've had repeated yeast infections, and misery after the act, and treated the itchy, swollen area the best I could. I've been tested for diseases and they've come back negative. My current "friend" enjoys oral sex, but I've experienced diahhrea usually 2-4 hours afterwards and it seems to get worse each time. Could I have a sperm allergy? Best way to treat??? I'm thinking probiotics, allergy meds. Help!

My boyfriend went 4 a sperm test as we are trying for a baby. We were told by the GP it was all normal as the normal total sperm density is 20 million per ml and his total sperm density is 78 million per ml. But when the fertility doctor had a look at his results. She said it's not normal because of the percentage of sperm with head defects. Which is 90% and only 10% normal sperm. But he has a 78 millions/ml sperm density which is over 3 X normal. Please can any one tell me is this normal or not ? thank you

Even though your boyfriend produces 3x above the normal, 90% of the whole sperm have head defects. This would suggest an abnormality, as the fertility doctor said. So even though your boyfriend produces alot of sperm (which is good) alot of them wouldn't be able to fertilise an egg (not normal). More defects can occur if the sperm has been made quickly, like if he ejaculates in quick sucession. If you are trying for a baby look into what can promote healthy sperm growth, like types of food, temperature etc. Good luck!

im 35 year old man and 15 years ago i had fertility tests done, my sperm count was fine but i had abnormal sperm, was told that only 5% of my sperm were normal. is there anything to help change this

Im a hundred percent certain I have this allergy, as every time I have semean inside me I feel intense burning and swelling, it's very pain full. However when my boyfriend doesn't ejaculate inside me theres no pain or swelling. I'm fine with having this allergy but my mum questioned that when I try for children that it could affect my chances of getting pregnant and because my body is allergic it would reject the sperm. Any inside on this matter?

I masturbate every day beacause i am addicted to sex.My sperm is watery and and i know this is the result of constant ejaculation. The point i am trying to clarify is HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR SPERM TO MATURE? I have been informed it takes about 90 days for sperm to mature and i am now trying to abstain form sex for three months in other to get my sperm to peak conditon again. Is this a wise idea as i found out that abstaining for more than a week destroys the sperm. I am confused as i am trying for a baby with partner for over 7 years now. Any advice will be appreciated.

Hey, I had the same problem on and off for years, i went to the clinic to get a check up for everything, and it wasn't an sti or anything. The doctors thought it could be a condition called lichen schlerosis, which is when around the vagina and vulva can be really itchy, dry and can crack sometimes during sex and so it can be irritating. I had a biopsy after this, and the diagnosis was confirmed, and although there isn't a 'cure' it can be treated with external cream to try and control the problem. Maybe this is the same condition as what you are suffering from? Hope things work out ok. Sarah

There is no way any of us can evaluate your sperm based on your description. Your sperm would have to be examined under a microscope. Talk to a urologist about this and (s)he can order a lab to examine your sperm.

after 12 years of begging my doctor for help every 2 weeks i have only now got a clincial immunology and allergy appointment to have a food allergy test, which i was told by my docotr for 10 years they didnt do a food allergy test i will update you all with the results if you have ibs ask your doctor for a food allergy test

No, it does not affect your sperm. Men and women are different. Women are born with all the eggs they will ever have, but men produce sperm all the time. If you masturbate several times a day your sperm count will be a little low by the end of the day, but if you are wanting to make a baby, all you have to do is not masturbate for a couple of days and your sperm count will be back up to regular levels.

i suffered the same problem with my 3 year old. Her ezcema was so bad that every morning i had to change her bed sheets as they had blood stains from her scratching in the night. No treatments or creams what so ever helped and i even tried homeopathis medicine - nothing helped. I eventually attented an allergy and gluten free show which is held every year in olmpia london around may/june time. There was a company called allergy uk there doing allergy tests. I had the full allergy test carried out and a number of things came out of it. I took the results of this test to the GP and following that further blood test were carried out at the hospital. Since then we have avoided all the foods that were mentioned and my little girl is no able to lead a normal life and start to enjoy herself! If you want to this test- the allergy show is on again mid may weekend. You should find details by searching it on the web. it is in london olmpia. See if it will get you some help as well.

An allergy to something may have developed, eg laundry detergent, face cream or sun allergy?

Maybe you have a latex allergy? I always suffered with a swollen tongue and blisters around my mouth after seeing the dentist - before I was made aware of my allergy by the hospital x

Please, Please, Please get an allergy test! I know that the majority of GP's etc will not agree with this but I had suffered from HS since my early teens, no GP could even tell me what it was until I was in my 40's. They tried long term antibiotics, creams, etc etc but nothing worked. In my late 40's, for some unknown reason, I decided to have an allergy test and to cut a long story short I have a yeast allergy and since removing yeast from my diet (not easy but it can be done) my HS has completely stopped, as with the lady with Evening Primrose Oil, all thats left are the scars. Please look at alternatives.

You may have an allergy to latex condoms, so rather than seeing a dermatologist, you may wish to see an allergy specialist.

Maybe yes, maybe no. What is important is the sperm count, not the size of the testicles. There are some childhood diseases (like mumps) that can affect your testicles, but it is also normal for testicles to range in size from small to massive and for nothing to be wrong. When you are older and if you wish to have children, you may wish to have a doctor test you for your sperm count. Even if you have a low sperm count, it might be possible for a doctor to collect your sperm and artifically fertilize an egg.

I developed a severe case of Arythema Multiforme after using a cream called Balmosa to treat a chilblain. Could this have been due to a Benzoate allergy? The only allergy I am aware that I have is to Penicillin.

Offhand, this sounds like an allergy reaction, but I can't imagine what you would be reacting to. Has your partner discovered the same symptoms? You might try an over-the-counter anti-allergy medication such as Benadryl to see it it helps.

I've just been diagnosed with a seminal allergy and im about to look at treatment options. I have found it hard to come to terms with because depending on the severity of the allergy this can affect the ability to become pregnant but you need to see your gp or gyn to sort it out
