I did get the acid on my skin I am thinking this may have caused it. Would any one be able to offer me some advice

I think that you have digital myxoid cysts, which are not warts, and wIll just get worse if you try to treat them like warts. I had them and made the same assumption as you. The doctor was able to treat them as a minor surgical procedure for me. It worked in my case, but I believe that it isn't always successful.

That is exactly how I felt and I went to my GP who refered me to an ENT consultant who said I had an extensive case of polyps. My nose is always blocked and I feel like I want to blow it but hardly anything comes out. You might also find that instead of coming out of your nose it finds its way down the back of your throat which is horrible!

i'v been constipated for a few years now on and off, this morning i went to the toilet and opened my bowels, when wiping myself i kept noticing this mucus sticky stuff, i stood up to check bowl and the mucus stuff was all around my poo. its really sticky and quiet a large amount of it. should i be concerned? help?

Speaking from experience it is unlikely you have a long term medical problem given that it has only started one year ago. Speak to the doctor about the Iontopheresis treatment it sounds more appropriate. Mind you after the treatment the saliva in your mouth dries up so I would recommend some oily foods to eat.

Im EXACTLY the same, i get sweaty hands feet and armpits! i went to the ddoctors and they also gave me a rolling thing to roll over my hands, when i put it on my hands dry up but they go all wrinkly and dont stay dry for that long! when i have to do dancing with boys in P.E its embaressing because i have to explain the problem! PLEASE can someone help me find a cure for this, i hate it and i dont want to have it for any longer! :(

I have been informed of my having Dupuytren`s Contracture by my GP (2012), in both hands this giving me three years in which I`d lose use of both hands. Two others in the family (both Females)also have this condition. My question yet unanswered by anybody is: Why are my hands/fingers being effected in the exact opposite to that of Dupuytren`s? I am unable to bend my fingers so Why is this so, and is it possible that my hands are being effected by two conditions at the same time the second being Carpel Tunnel Syndrome? If so, what treatments are available and what are the prospects of regaining full use of my fingers?

Hello, I'm 21 and have terrible bloating and constipation. I also get stomach cramps on and off that are very painful. I exercise drink lots of water eat fiber and everything else they tell you to do to poo well. This has been an on going problem ; at 18 had a colonoscopy/ upper endoscopy because they thought I had gluten intolerance they couldn't find anything but swelling and said it could be ibs or colitis. Since then symptoms have gotten worse, my stool will be covered in sticky orange "mucous" and it's always very small and very sticky. It's usually black or very dark and comes out looking like chunks of rock candy stuck together. (Tmi) sometimes it literally gets stuck and I can't help but dig it out.. Gross I know but it's better out than in. If this sounds familiar to anyone please comment. -Kory c

I don't know if you are male or female, if you are male - oops, sorry my bad; if you are female keep reading. I had similar problems. It was discovered that I had endometriosis which had caused my bowel to become doubled back and fused to itself, like a kinked garden hose. It was above and below where tge tests looked, and wasn't discovered until I had surgery for an ovarian cyst.

What I forgot to say was, get checked for endometriosis, it can do all sorts of weird strange things. See disclaimer above.

You may have ibs I've got it and those symptoms sound very familiar.

Overthe past year i have developed large veins running from the elbow to my hands. These are on the top of my arms and hands and are so ugly. I see elderly people with veiny hands but they do not even compare to the amount that i have.I saw my doctor who simply said to walk round with my arms up.(funny not)I have a lot of pain as they throb like mad and are worse now its hot. I dont go out much now as am ashamed. And when i do i have to wear long sleeve tops. I am 44 and female does anyone else have this problem or perhaps a solution.

I am literally just the same as you! I'm 15 and whenever its is not cold or im doing something with people, or getting nervous like in interviews/drama/singing in front of people/seeing a guy, my hands get so horribly clammy and wet its not true, and whenever i go somehwere, i turn to my mum and im like "im not gonna have to shake their hand right?". I just, its horrible, and if someone takes my hand or like shakes it (as people do), i inwardly cringe and almost apologise for how wet my hand is... And typing on my phone sometimes, like the keys wont even press because the screen has got all wet...and i do so much drama, and theres a LOT of hand holding in that- last week i was in a show and had to be the girlfriend to the guy and we had to dance together and stuff and it was so horrible cause i could feel my hands all wet in his...and paper gets wet when i am writing for ages, and if i wear jumpers that cover my hands partially, they get soaked as well and its just really gross! But then when my hands do kind of dry off, they seem to get kinda sticky and even more gross :( i just hate it, and i worry about when i finally meet someone i really want to be with and they have to put up with my stupid hands, ugh. I hate it. Also, i never know what to say when people are like: why are your hands wet? Like, idk, i have weird hands and im sorry and i hate them too!! And you cant tell them you just ran your hands under the tap or something bc they've been with you for ages! But yeah that was really long but i wanted you to know that im in the same boat as you xx

it has been really helpful to me reading these comments because i didn't realise excess sweating was a common problem i just thought i had something wrong with me!! at school i used to have to wear blouses and they were always drenched under the underarms however since my confidence has grown i no longer find that a problem. however my hands and feet seem to have a life of their own and i have found it impossible to hold hands with boyfriends or go dancing - which i love - because i never know when ill start sweating. the worse thing is it really goes through you when they get all clammy and sticky so that you cant touch anything. its so embarressing i went for a treatment the other day and the therapist had to get me a towel to dry my hands on. the trouble is, just the thought of sweating can bring about panic attacks, which of course makes it even worse. now i know there are solutions im really going to try to sort it out.

Hi, I had suffered from hyper hydrosis on my hands and Feet for many years from a child and like most of you tried absolutely everything but nothing worked. Then one day I saw a program on TV with a girl that suffered with the same problem and had surgery and her hands stopped sweating. I couldn’t believe that I had found a cure. I then contacted the hospital got the surgeons name and wrote him a letter. He then referred me to a surgeon near me in London and I made the appointment and went to see him. He told me that he had been doing this operation for the last 20 or so years and that my hands would be cured for good. He asked me if I sweated around my front and back, I said no because that was one place that I didn’t sweat from, He told me that I might get a bit of sweating in them areas after But I wasn’t bothered about a little sweating on my back or front if it meant I could cure this sweating on my hands. So I went ahead with the operation I had to work for some time to pay for this as it was being done private around £3500 at the time. The operation involved key whole surgery to burn certain nerves behind the lungs. As soon has I woke from the operation my hands were instantly dry the first time in years I couldn’t be more happier when the surgeon came to see me the following day I held my hand out to shake his which would be something I would never have done before. My life had changed for the better I could now do so many things that I shied away from before. Well that’s what thought anyway Within a few months I started to notice my back sweating and then it started to get much worse with my chest sweating as well not just a little sweating either I’m talking as if I had just run a marathon I would be drenched for no reason the problem some 15 years later has not improved it has totally changed my life I have to watch where I go. Always have to where a vest under my clothes and even have a jumper on in the summer to hide the sweat. So all I would say to any one no matter how bad your hands get DON’T GO FOR THE SURGERY if you think things are bad now they get 10 times worse after. Even thoe they have now stopped burning the nerves, they now clamp them so they can reverse things when they go wrong I would still advice against it.

i am a 16 year old girl and i have suffered sweaty hands and feet all my life. my granny says she remembers when i was in the pram with sticky sweaty hands but everything was ok back then because you were a cute innocent child. i only become aware and self conscious of my problem when i moved to secondary school. i was always a confident girl but that all changed. i see my friends all holding hands or messing about and i cant join in. when i write at school my hand sticks to the page and i crouch over really far so noone can see my hands. even one time when i thought they werent sweating i thought i was fine and dry i high fived someone and they asked me 'why are your hands wet?' i nearly died of humiliation. i went to my doctor just today about it as i am sitting my exams now in may and i do not want to be sitting all conscious in an exam room worrying about my hands instead of concentrating on my exams. the doctor gave me a roll on thing and i have to apply it tonight, i hope and pray this cures me once and for all and before my exams. i dont want my hands to be the reason i fail my exams. so everyone out there, please do contact your doctor, i know its humiliating, i was nervous about going but im so so glad i did to get something, although i havent tried it yet, im confident it will work! and to mums and dads, do not tell your child to 'get over' it, its a very upsetting condition. hope this helped.

I can relate to all you've said so well. I'm 18 now and I've had sweaty palms and feet since I was a child. I remember one time in primary school my teacher scolded me for making my paper wet. That was probably one of my earliest memories of being embarrassed. Whenever we had to hold hands with people, I would usually be asked why my hands were wet and I would always come up with an excuse. It has become very tiring. I also felt exactly the same as you when it came to exams. It seemed like most of the time I was more worried about making the exam paper wet or having teachers notice than actually concentrating on the exam. In a way, I may have done slightly better had my palms not been so sweaty. Eventually I went to the doctors and he recommended a roll-on which has been quite effective if used everyday. Sometimes my hands become so dry that they begin to crack (and sometimes bleed) but I just discontinue use for a few days. Try to refrain from using moisturiser! I've found that using a moisturiser will bring your palms back to its original state and you'll have to begin the whole process of slowly reducing the sweating day by day.

What exactly did you say to your doctor , I wouldn't know what to do , it's so embarrassing , please help? Xo

Somtimes my plams sweat and its really embarasing esspecialy at school in the classroom when im constantly rubbing my palms on my trousers So it tried to put my deoderant on it but it make my hands sticky and did'nt help but i cant seen to find a trigger what do i do ?

I've tried literally hundreds of creams, sprays, powders, moisturisers..... Please help, it would be the BEST christmas present... THANKS SOOOOOOO MUCH (-:

My mom then took me to see a dermatologist and he prescribed Glycopyrrolate 3mg. WHAT A GREAT MEDICINE. I take one pill a day.I can't believe it! I can now high five and shake hands with everyone! The doctor said that I might out grow it. I,m 20 yrs old now and still take the medication. It has worked wonders!!

i have problems with my hands sweating, when ever i go to shake hands or hold my boyfriends hand, my hands are always really sweaty and i just dont know how to stop it, ive tried using alcohol gel and washing my hands excessivly but it just wont work, i need help :( and will i have this all my life or is it just a stage in my teens?

Totally normal! The purpose of foreplay is to actually help you get ready for sex and this is simply your own brand of lubricant. Your parner would be chuffed at doing such a good job of getting you in the mood. Embrace your body and listen to it!

I'm 14 now and i've had my hands are like niagara falls. It wont stop sweating which is hard to live with because when i'm at school I feel like hiding my hands because people will think that that my hands are gross. I can't even write something without having my hands sweat all over the paper. Is there a way to get rid of my sweaty palms forever?

Samuel, your teacher is certainly not educated!! and rude to boot.. Anxiety, keep it in check it makes it worst. Your condition is very very very prevelant. Go and talk to a Dermitologist and get a better understanding of why this is happening and the options to suit you. The water treatment with electric currents, but recently they have been placing a drug into the water and finding it gives a far better result than the original way. Try Dri Chlor over the counter specialized roll on product for the hands. Applied at night prior to be, then place some gloves on or cotton socks over your hands. Do this 3 or 4 nights straight. Sorbeline with glisterne if it gets to dry during day, as you dont want to crack your skin. Your feet, but NIVEA SILVER ION antipersperate and spray and let dry on your feet. Its is the silver in it that what stops it. Samuel, dont be embarrassed about shaking hands, just say politely you rather not and tell them why and be light hearted about it. It is not the 18 century anymore, people are more open, knowledgeable (except your teacher, cant get over that, sorry) and accepting of the differences between us. We dont hide people away anymore. Samuel get up and out and SHINE.

I have suffered from severe sweating on my hands since I can remember and I never knew there was an actual disorder until watching the programme! I just thought it was something I had an would just have to deal with. My hands are like the womans on the programme, like they get severly wet that sometimes it is dripping off my hands. I find it embarrasing going to the shops and handing over money because the money is always wet and if people ever accidently touch my hands they always say how gross it is! I am always hiding my hands away and if i am ever in a situation where i have to touch someones hands I start to panick which makes them sweat worse! I really, really would like a solution to this! Has anyone had the surgery? How did it go for you?

Just like yourself, i had always suffered from sweating on the palms. It became an increasing problem when i went to high school, so i went to my doctor who referred me to a dermatologist. I went through Iontophoresis treatment which wasnt successful and i found it quite painful. Eventually, after trying various gels and creams i was told i could get the operation. In december i had the operation for the right hand, all went well so in january i had the operation for the left hand. A few days after the surgery, my left hand felt clammy, but i phoned the surgeon and he informed me that this could happen but it would soon dry up, and the next day my hand was dry. So i am really pleased with the results and my advise would be to not give up trying to get the right treatment for you. If one treatment fails, theres other treatments out there, dont suffer. My confidence has increased and i can now do a lot more things without worrying about sweating!
