Have the area looked at by a Doctor for assesement.. the zip situation is not good and you dont want to be permanently damaging any parts of the nerves or shaft of the penis.

Have stinging around my vagina and rectum. Been going on for 3 and 1/2 months. Keeps me up at night. Sometimes I have to get up in the night and take a shower to help stop the stinging. Been treated for pinworms and it's not that. I think it might be some kind of parasite. I have gotten reddish/blueish spots on my tummy and bottom. Do you have any suggestions of what it may be?

For about a month I have had an itchy, stinging genital area (Im female). My friend said it might be thrush but as I have never had it before I am unsure. I went to the chemist and was given Pevaryl (Econazol. nitras) cream to use twice a day. It has not really made any difference. I have no discharge or any other symptoms just the stinging and itching which seem to get worse on the evening. Could it be thrush? Im using the cream for 4 more days, then will go to the doctor if nothing changes.

I am 20 and I have had sex before, though not that much. However I have masterbated regularly for years. When I was a younger probably 5-6 years ago I had a skin tag removed, that was over my vagina. Apparently it was just a random separation of tissue from using tampons and is quite normal. My problem is that I get stinging pain around my vagina after or during sex and masterbation. Is this something to do with the surgery? Or is just that my vagina isn't stretched enough for sex? If it is because of the skin tag, like damaged nerves or something from the surgery, can it be fixed? thanks

You need to see a doctor - many women experience pain when engaged in intercourse and it is normally something that can be corrected. God made sex to be fun - not painful

I suffer from skin chafing quite often and I sometimes use Sudocrem to clear it but after application I suffer from an agonising stinging sensation that lasts for up to 20 minutes. Am I allergic?

After sexual activity, my foreskin can become tight ( could be described as appearing to have a tight band around it about 10cm from the tip). The skin also appears to have abrasions that leads to a stinging sensation when ejeculating. I am 56 and led a decent sex life but the appearance of dry skin on the foreskin and the tightness of the 'band' makes it easier to avoid activity

You need to go back to your doctor and tell them. You may have an infection now so you are best to get it checked. Try not to worry but please go see the doc to put your mind at rest. Ask for a female doc if you need to x

I really feel for you & I think you should go back to your doctor. Your doctor should be able to perform some tests to rule out any other infection as I'm not sure having a greenish colour to your discharge is a symptom of thrush. More commonly the discharge is a thickish white/cream colour. I used to suffer with thrush quite a bit, I'm in my early thirties now. I have read quite a bit on the internet about candida (fungus) and have found, that now that I have reduced the amount of sugar and yeast (mainly white bread)in my diet, I do not really suffer with thrush. This may not work for you, as there is very little clinical evidence to support this but well worth a look. I hope you get sorted soon Chloe :-) x

I've had a burning stinging feeling under my arm when I looked there was a red circle, and when I felt it there was a lump under skin below the redness, a week on the redness is gone but I can still feel the lump, should I be concerned?

I use Tea Tree Oil near my intimate parts when itching or stinging or think I may have an infection. I also frequently swab affected stinging parts of my body with Cyder Vinegar which stings acutely at first but it dies down sooner rather than later so I am not left with scarring scratch marks. Hope it also helps you from the interminable itching and stinging.

Hi!It is ironic that as a teenager and young adult, people would comment that I had 'perfect' skin. Two years ago, at the age of 34, I was diagnosed with rosacea - blushing, stinging, dryness and bumps under the skin on my nose and left cheek. Following a three month course of oral and topical antibiotics (prescribed by a dermotologist)my skin improved significantly. I decided though, that I did not want to continue taking antibiotics long term, so pursued different avenues and found out that under the NHS some local authorities will fund referrals to The Homeopathic Hospital in London. I had never tried alternative medicine before but I had to give it a try! I cannot thank the doctors enough. I take a little pill twice a week and my skin is clear, no redness, stinging or spots. My dryness was helped by the herb, Calendula cream also prescribed by the hospital. People now comment again on how clear my skin is. I would recommend fellow rosacea sufferers to discover this gem of a hospital.

I'm 20 years old and when ever i have sex it is quite painful, this depends on position some being alot more painful than others, it is more of a stinging sensation than acctual pain tho.when my partner "comes" inside me the stinging is made alot worse, and after we have finished having sex i feel i need to go to the toilet over and over again and this is such a stinging pain. Ive been sexually active for 3 years now, and it had been a problem since i can remember, i know this is not an STI. Anyone got anyideas? my doctor is male and i could not go and see him about this.

Hi - I'm 25 and have recently developed 2 small tears half way down my shaft, when flaccid it can get tight and feel like I have to stretch it when I pull the skin back. I then noticed 3 tears now 4, sex isn't painful. Apart from I just had sex with my GF on her period and once I come there was a very painful stinging and I had to jump in the showers to wash off and stop the stinging. I think the first tear appeared last month so I don't know if its related to having sex when she is on. Also concerned it could be related to diabeaties from what I've read online? I'm fit and healthy but still concerned.

2016 I had recently been having a lot of problems with a stinging sensation in my vulvar area, which didn't respond to anything I tried--washing, estrogen creams. I came to this site and read some of the posts and saw that Sorbolene cream was recommended. I saw people lamenting that they could not find Sorbolene in the US. Well, as far as I can tell, Sorbolene cream is just a water based skin cream, so I started using a water based skin cream recommended by my dermatologist for other purposes and it worked! You have to wash daily and pat dry, then apply the water based cream. When you urinate, DO NOT wipe--just pat yourself dry--that will keep the stinging from coming back. I think this will help other women who have otherwise been unable to find help. Hope so.

Hello, I have had this thing for a while now since I was about 10 but it has become very frequent within the last year and a lot more worse. When I urinate I get a stinging sensation and I start to feel really hot and sweaty and I prefer to be on my own when I have it if I'm around people it's literally unbearable! It's not really the stinging that's the problem it's make me feel really uncomfortable around people and I just want to be alone. I don't like going to the toilet when I'm not at home now because of this it makes me scared that I'm going to get it while I'm there its a terrible thing to deal with and is affecting my life in a way. I hope some one can help or knows the reason I get this?

Hi I don't know if this will help or not but I tried skin repair lotion on my scrotum when I was having same problem and it seemed to help, but ask pharmacy where you shop which lotion is least harsh to keep stinging down especially after scratching.

Hello, I have a problem with a stinging/burning sensation quite frequently when I have sex. We've tried different positions and this hasn't worked. I've had STI checks for everything, but they said I was completely clear of any sort of infection. The inside of my vagina goes really red and the skin goes flakey. No one has been able to tell me what this is. Can someone please help??

Are you allergic to condoms maybe? Or sometimes the condoms with the spermicidal lube on can irritate your skin. Use KY jelly lube...best, most neutral one you can use. It's what docs use when doing smears etc. try stopping using heavily perfumed soaps and gels in the bath and shower too down there.... Use femfresh or simple. And if you're sat in he bath in shampoo and conditioner and shaving cream or whatever... Rinse down there with clean water. Harsh soaps are unsuitable for your skin down there!

Competely normal for your first time and maybe a few times after. Stinging is also normal, it is because your skin has been streched and split. leave it to heal and it should be fine,

I am 16 and last year, I had a really bad constant stinging pain down below and it was so uncomfortable, it eased off abit in the bath but not much, finally after a couple of weeks of putting up with this it went. And a couple of months ago it came back, and now it comes and goes when it pleases. It feels like I constantly need a wee, and I feel sex stops the stinging (long-time partner). It hurts a lot more when I'm sat down than stood up. HELP it's soo uncomfortable, especialy at work. I really don't want to go to the doctors cause I'm terrified but if you have any advice, I'd love to know, even any creams or tablets.. Please inform me

when i go to the toilet for a wee or a poo, ialways feel like a slight tearing then a horrible stinging feeling on my anus, when i poo or if wee gets on this area it stings. it feels like there is a small lump on the outside of my anus aswel. i went to a&e one night about 2 years ago because when i opened my bowels the water in the toilet was bright red so this scared me, i was told i had heamerroids (i felt a right idiot). I have since had a child, but when i go to the toilet now there is no blood. Do you know what the stinging feeling is?

Hi, I have stinging vaginal pain like someone is scratching it from the inside. I had protected sex but it occurs 24h later. I am awaiting for some culture results but the day results where negative. I am in pain and feel like burning too. Lately I had a fungal body infection which I treated with fungal/canesten treatment without going to a GP. The pain of the stinging vagina decreases after two days of inter course. I changed partner and we have used protection throughout I am very worried about my symptoms. Thank.you
