Conditions with symptom: 'strain'
hi i have to strain and strain and strain to go to the toilet (stools) .i broke my back 4 years ago and i now have a morphine pump in my stomach ,this causes some problems that you get with this type of drug but i have taken it for a long time now and i can stop those problems , the straining is for any consistency i have to force until my eyes almost pop out for upto 2-3 hours even for something as soft as icecream ,i am in constant pain (acking from my stomack) and i am sure i am causing or will cause other problem , already the straining is causing siatic nerve pains all the way down both legs which sometimes take days to go away.i have told my doctor an they ask for stool samples and say there is no problem when i know there is can you help please
(female) I have problems opening bowels too and find it forms in a pouch, after suffering from piles etc due to straining and having to help push poo out in desperation one day I used a gentle flow of water from the shower hose tube to clear the blockage - fantastic and knowing that if necessary I can use this method stops me from straining from ages - no piles etc for ages, no taking constipation relief tablets etc OCCASIONAL USE ONLY!
I have severe, chronic problems with trying to pass bowel movements, they are always soft but i chronically strain all the time to get the stools out!Its is a nightmare to live with.I get pelvic and rectum pain, piles, nausea, bloatedness, feel ill all the time.I have been like this for many years, just always told it is ibs but a severe form, nothing has ever helped ease it.Sometimes i have to use a finger to get the stool out, disgusting i know, but it just wont move unless i strain and strain.I'm not typically constipated as the stools are soft and there is always plenty in my rectum to come out.I need help as i'm suffering so much, can anyone help,i'm desperate!?
Hi Diane. can't help but have the same problem. especially in mornings. All morning. It lasts most of the day and ruins family events or major days in life. very difficult to pass stools although it is very small and just recently i have started to notice an orange kind of film coating. can anyone help???
I have this exact same problem, even using my fingers. It's frustrating because you can feel the poo inside you and you get really bloated but it just won't come out. I've made myself bleed terribly by doing this and I'm scared I'm causing myself more damage in the long run. I'm sorry I'm not answering your question but just wanted you to know you're not alone.
i am 51 strain some times when i go to the toilet to pass a stool and some times pass a small amount of blood i have just had a camera anal ie cololon was clear but was told i had a solitary rectal ulcer healed biopsy taken awaiting result s only happen s if i strain on the toilet could you explain what it is how it happen s symptem s and poss treatment
I have exactly the same blood in stool and camera and biopsy its straining to much and you tare the inside...i've been doing this straining for years and now have a prolapse to which i'm awaiting consultation and opperation...i was told couple of years bk by hospital doctor dont strain or help your self going and go natrally. I was told i suffer ibs and that my toilet visits a lot of the time is mostly mind problem going when i dont need to....i so urge anyone not to strain as living with the problem i have is harsh and anyone straining could end up with same problem. I now have a prolapes of my bowl to the extent of 4 inches and sometimes using the muscles to pull it back in is as hard as the straining. I quit my job couple of years bk only to go bk as it got better to now having to quit again in hope that it gets better again.
I am 23 and I have a slight squint in one eye. It appears to only happen when I'm tired, or when I take off my glass's after wearing them for long periods of time. I believe this occurs due to the strain of my eye muscels from trying to see and focus properly. I have recently been to see a specialist and told my eye muscels have been repaired as much as they could be when I was young. I had to under-go a few operations in both eyes but my weaker eye will still get a turn every so often. What I'm now wondering is would Lazer surgery help my squint as my vision being improved will take the strain from my eye muscels. I'm really considering having it done, but I'm concerned that it will be a waist of money, but I've suffered confidence issues with this and have done for years. Has anyone got any helpful information or even gone through a similar experience, to help me with my question. Thank you
